I've always been a thinker/brainstormer, full of ideas, dreams, goals, but then I always hit a brick wall when it comes to making all my ideas realized. I'm like a child; I want to do everything. I'm passionate about so many things, I have so many interests, so many ideas, its hard sometimes to settle on just one.Do I even really have to settle for only one idea? Maybe there is a reason I have so many ideas; perhaps my destiny is to fulfill them all. Bu at the moment, I would like to move past this hurdle I seem to always come across. I never am able, it seems, to move into the implementation phase. I think, talk, write and dream, but never start. What could be holding me back?I think that the fear of rejection is my biggest obstacle at this point. What if my idea doesn't catch on? What if people think my idea is dumb? My family is part of the reason I see things that way. Often we have discussions about possible businesses to start, but then someone always brings an aire of doubt that kills the confidence and enthusiasm. That plague of doubt has manifested itself into my thought patterns, and I defeat myself before I've even begun. I feel trapped and stuck, and that is very discouraging, because my heart is so into it.So if any of my BBWO sistas are out there reading this post, how did you/do you/will you move past the fear and doubt? How do you make yourself just jump out there and take the plunge? I understand that it will be difficult for me to ever succeed if I am not willing to risk something, but I'm afraid.

Use Your Resources Wisely

It is important to step out of the mentality of cyclical poverty into the land of freedom, wealth, and prosperity. Ironically you can't do that if you are spending frivolously and not taking advantage of your resources. While I lived in NY I did not use Public transportation. I did a lot of walking. Now that we are in West Virginia my son and I still walk, and bus rides are .50(yes, 50 cents) per ride. So that option is available although we do have a car. .50 vs. almost $4.00 I choose the bus. It is funny, people offer my son rides all the time but I always decline because walking very healthy for you and we live in a small town. So my point is that while we can afford to drive around in our vehicle all the time, we don't! A book was written about the millionaire next door. Not all millionaires spend their money recklessly. They drive beat up cars, wear regular clothes, and usually are very cheap. That is how they became rich. For example, a very wealthy silver dealer in NY asked me if I could sell some silver that he was interested in buying from us for a much lower price than bargain price that we offered. He could sell only 4 pieces of the 28 pieces of silver and make his money that he spent on the purchase back. The rest of the money is his profit. There are also your public millionaires who spend their money very wisely as well. Months ago an article was written about Clinton's campaign being in the red by 8 million dollars. Why not? Rather than pay the expenses immediately, the funds can be invested so that they make the 8 million back plus a surplus of extra funds. So it is not a crime not to pay your bills on time especially when they will eventually be paid. This is what I mean by thinking outside the box. This is a term used often among very wealthy people. In truth the only thing that we absolutely need in life is food, shelter, and clothing. There are ways to spend wisely around these things as well. If ideally you can't grow your own food or join a community co-op you can shop at warehouses like Sam's Club to buy food in bulk. Also you can buy multiple sale items to keep on hand when you need them. You can shop at the Thrift or discounted clothing store for clothes. You can get a roommate or take in a border for shelter. Although TV, cable, cell phones, movies tickets or DVDs, etc. are luxury items there are still ways to have and use them without spending a lot of money. For example while we don't watch a lot of TV our son loves animals, so he watches some on-line videos from the "National Geographic Channel. While TV is a luxury the Internet is a necessity for us and it actually helps us with using our resources wisely. I challenge those who read this blog to make a list of things to save $100 in the next month by eliminating items that you don't need. And I invite those that have tips on using your resources wisely to please share in the comments section of this blog. YHWH wants us to blessed by using our resources wisely. (Deu/Debarim 11) And YHWH shall make you to have plenty of what is good, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land of which YHWH swore to your fathers to give you. Have a blessed and prosperous week.Shalom,Tamar

(Tehillim/Psalms 112:3): Wealth and riches are in his house and his righteousness is standing forever.I especially felt the need to create this blog since I always thought to myself that when I became successful I would make sure I could share what I l learned with as many people as I could. After reading many books; attending expensive lectures; searching the internet; joining several telemarketing groups; YHWH finally opened my eyes to something that was with me all along. Himself and his word. The scriptures is filled with so much guidance and direction not only on how we should live our spiritual lives and eat healthy but on how we should live our financial lives and become self sufficient. YHWH put my husband and sister in my life 5 years ago. And so my journey began bringing the little knowledge of Real Estate and an open mind . By this I mean that while I owned property I was not aware that the items within my home especially should be just as valuable or more valuable. Together my husband and sister have over 23 years experience in Antiques and Real Estate. We have decided to start this blog for two reasons. The first one being to share YHWH blessings and truths with others who are struggling with their finances and do not have to. The second one being to connect with those that are aware that YHWH wants us to have silver and gold, fine linens, and land until the coming of Messiah. (Debarim/Deuteronomy 28:12) YHWH opens to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand. And you shall lend to many nations, but you do not borrow. YHWH wants us to be independent of and not dependent on mainstream society. As long as we follow the Torah we don't have to want for anything and what we need shall be provided for us. The buildings where we congregate should be ours meaning we should not be paying rent. We should grow our own fruits, vegetables, nuts, and legumes and share them with each other. We should have our own wells and windmills for water and electricity. YHWH calls his "Children of Israel" set-apart for a reason. We practice what we preach by owning and selling antiques, silver, and land. We are located in West Virginia and welcome visitors. You may also visit us at our website antiquesandfinearts4everyone.synthasite.com or contact us at antiquesandfineart4everyone@yahoo.com. We will also post different events that we will be apart of. Part of our ministry is speaking to different churches and congregations on the benefits and obligations we have to our children, in sustaining our cultural heritage, and investing all our talents wisely. We welcome your feedback questions and concerns.Shalom,Tamar

Is a Las Vegas Wedding right for you?

Every year, some 120,000 weddings are performed in Las Vegas, making it the most popular destination wedding site by far. But is a Las Vegas wedding right for you? If you’re a traditional-minded couple -- or if one of you has been planning your wedding since puberty -- the answer is probably no.On the other hand, if you want to get married quickly and are open to something different, a Las Vegas wedding could be perfect for you.Below you’ll find some of the plusses and minuses of having a wedding in Las Vegas. If you decide to go ahead with it, you’ll be in the company of such notables as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Michael Jordan, Wayne Newton, and, briefly, Britney Spears.PROS OF A LAS VEGAS WEDDINGAffordability – This is the biggest advantage of a Las Vegas wedding. While a traditional US wedding costs $22,000 on average, you can have a complete wedding ceremony for a few hundred dollars (or less) in Las Vegas.Timing – You will be able to book a chapel for your wedding in Las Vegas on short notice. Reservations are helpful, although walk-ins are accommodated in some places. Just don’t expect to sweep into a Las Vegas wedding chapel on Valentine’s Day or a popular holiday weekend and get married right away.Convenience – At Las Vegas hotels with wedding chapels, there’s usually a wedding coordinator who can arrange everything from your wedding flowers to the officiant to music and photography/videography. And you can plan it all over the phone or even online.Fun – Couples who’ve been married before, older couples, and couples who love to laugh appreciate the ease of a Las Vegas wedding. And if you want to get married in Las Vegas by an Elvis impersonator, who's to stop you?Start the Honeymoon Early – No need to get on a plane or head out of town after the wedding. Las Vegas is more than a great wedding town – Las Vegas is a great honeymoon destination, too.CONS OF A LAS VEGAS WEDDINGYour Wedding, Your Way – There’s no comparison between a wedding planned months or years in advance with a quickie Las Vegas one. If you’re someone who cares about having specific wedding colors, custom favors, a certain baker, local florists and bands, and other elements that personalize a wedding, you may not be satisfied with a standard Las Vegas wedding package.Conveyor Belt Mentality – While Las Vegas wedding chapels attempt to keep wedding parties separate, they don’t always succeed. Some Las Vegas hotels have more than one chapel, so you may encounter people from other wedding parties. At one of the better Las Vegas wedding chapels, couples have one hour of chapel time: 30 minutes for guest arrival and seating, 15 minutes for the ceremony, and 15 minutes for photography. If you walk down the Las Vegas Strip later (or even pause at a craps table for a while), you’re likely to see several other brides and grooms on your special day.Guest List – If you live far from Las Vegas, some friends and family members will be unable to afford the expense or time to travel to Vegas to see you get married. (On the other hand, this is a perfect way to avoid having marginal friends and family attend your wedding.)Reception Sites – Las Vegas wedding chapels are just that: Places where weddings are conducted. If you want to have a reception afterwards, that has to be arranged separately. Larger hotels have banquet and meeting rooms which are mostly used for corporate functions. I recommend a private room in a restaurant.Tacky Image – Despite the best efforts of Las Vegas' finest hotels -- which can produce gala affairs second to none -- Las Vegas weddings are still considered tacky by some.ALL THE BESTWhether or not you decide to wed or honeymoon in Las Vegas, keep this in mind: It's ultimately less important where you seal your vows than it is that you say them with a true heart -- and live them throughout your marriage.

Never Giving Up

Ever since 8th grade I've wanted to publish my work, however, I never really knew how to go about it. I went through college deciding to become a magazine editor. Except life is funny, things never worked out that way. Stranded in my Master's English program at a prestigious university I was extremely unhappy with my life. I decided to drop out of the M.A. program and try to find what I wanted to do.So imagine my surprise when I stumbled on the notion of self-publishing. I ran the gambit of doubt. I doubted my talent, my business acumen, my product. When I realized how much money I would need to become officially published I panicked. Well, I threw a hissy fit. "I can't do this" I stammered to family and friends, "I can't afford it and my product will look so bootleg," tumbled out of my mouth. After a mini prep talk a source guided me to a grant specifically for emerging poets/writers. I was completely thrilled. Most guides and family members tried to tell me to take out a loan, but I did not want to deal with the hassle or debt and finding another part-time seemed difficult, with the other priorities and commitments.I felt so blessed to have the opportunity to apply for the grant. With a re-newed spirit I made a promise to myself. Always go the last quarter mile of the race. Never under any circumstances give up. No matter the money situation or if someone does not embrace my idea I've realized that almost getting to the finish line will never help me succeed. Even though it sounds corny and quite obvious, surprisingly it was never obvious to me. Now that I decided to stick through no matter what, I'm finding so many different ways to reassess my budget and to redesign my business focus. I'm more on point now than I was before, using this reasoning in other areas of my life. I'm happy to say that my publishing company Imara Ushairi has become a real business. My idea's are coming to fruition.

My Circle!

~UnknownWhen I was little, I used to believe in the concept ofone best friend, and then I started to become a woman. And then I found out that if you allow your heart to open up,God would show you the best in many friends. One friend is needed when you're going through thingswith your man.Another friend is needed when you're going through thingswith your mom.Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delightin your children and their activities.Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,'another, 'Let's fight together,'another, 'Let's walk away together.'another friend will meet your spiritual need, another your shoe obsession, another your love for good books, another will be with you in your season of confusion, another will be your clarifier, another the wind beneath your wings. But whatever their assignment in your life, on whatever the occasion, on whatever the day, or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair pulled back, orto hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself, those are your best friends. It may all be wrapped up in one woman, but for many, it's wrapped up in several..one from 7th grade, one from high school, several from the college years,a couple from old jobs,on some days your mother,on some days your neighbor,on others, your sisters, and on some days, your daughters.
