Just when you think things aren't getting any better God steps in and he throws you for a loop, he allows people and situations to come in to get your attention once he has your attention, its up to you to take the initiative to make things happen.
Opportunity, is a word that we should embrace in the moment of our victories, simply because the GREAT opportunities only come from HIm.
Now that the opportunity has made its way in your situation what should you do? If it was me I would make a decision to use that opportunity to make it work for me.
Now keep in mind I have had several opportunities to come my way, My delimma is which opportunity should I work on first.
When God gives you more than one opportunity, I say pray on what is next making sure that if you are taking advantage of that opportunity that you stay prayed up so that if by chance you have some stumbling blocks you will be able to handle them.
No matter what stay prayed up!!!

Helping reporters and talk show hosts do their jobs will, in turn, help you achieve your goals. If you make them look good, they will be more likely to give you a some quality air or print time and even keep your name on file as a “go to” person for future reference.
By establishing a relationshp with your local media, you are setting yourself up to be their “expert” and that becomes a win-win situation for everybody.
Here are some suggestions on how to strengthen your position with the media:
Let Your Personality Shine Through: Not everyone has an outgoing, bubbly personality but if you come across as warm, genuine and sincere, the media will love you for it.
Know How to Communicate: Understand that interviews consist of more than one or two-word responses. It is also more than a one-sided conversation so don’t try to dominate.
Are You More than an Expert?: Can you speak on a variety of related subjects in your area of expertise or are you a single-minded individua?.
Be available on demand: Unless there’s a major emergency, can you be available at a moment’s notice and still come across as polished and professional—even when you’re not real sure how the interview will go?
I was invited to be a guest on My Carolina Today twice in two weeks because I was available at the 11th hour literally.
Demonstrate your viewer potential: Get your base of folks who admire what you do to send emails to the station on your behalf. That will send a signal to the station that they made a good choice in asking you to be a guest and, more often than not, will invite you back again for a future interview.

Offline gatherings are great for online businesses. You get to meet people who you only know through the screen of your computer. If you’ve never attended a live event, the one thing that can be said is to make sure that you get that experience. It can change your life. There are many reasons to attend a live event. For one, curiosity often gets most people. They want to see what it is all about and how it can help their business. At these events, you are the focus. At your computer, it is the customer that you think about but here, you are given carte blanche to explore your future plans, chart a new course for your business and have fun doing both. To get the most benefit out of your conference investment it is important to have a plan: what are your goals, what type of event it is, who is it you want to meet. These are the kinds of questions you want to ask yourself before attending any conference or networking event. The answer to these questions will determine the type of conference you attend, your focus and goals.
Four Reasons Why You Should Attend Live Events.
1. Get out of your comfort zone. Many wouldn’t call this a plus, but how can your business grow doing the same thing over and over again? For one, you’ll get bored. If you are used to seeing people through their words, now you can put a name to a face and so can they. Stretch your business self with interesting people and thought-provoking seminars.
2. Meet people with similar goals. It is refreshing to hold a conversation with someone who understands where you are coming from. If you are new to business, even the experts can remember back and give you practical advice on how to go from where you are to where they are and beyond.
3. Begin a few joint ventures. Businesses partner with other businesses all the time. If you each have something that can benefit the other, it can be a match made in heaven or at least in cyberspace. But, you may not get the chance unless you attend a live event. When you get to see and hear their plans, you can make a confident decision that this person will be great to work with.
4. Build your business. Oh, yeah, there is this one. There will be people from all walks of life with the same goal – improve their business standing. You will get business cards, photo opportunities, business materials and possibly drinks by the pool with others who are more than willing to talk with you about how to take your business to the next level.

It is often said that it not about who you know that matters, it's who knows you. Well I wanted to convey this statement by saying that not just whom you know and who know you, but how well you know them and they with you too.
Business networking is the final form of promotion. This can help you to get new clients, new jobs, or even help you move up the corporate ladder. This is the exact same process it takes to build relationships. Every time you attend meetings, trade shows, or social functions, you are networking and that's a fact whether you know it or not. This is your relationships with people, prospects or clients who make the difference between success and failure.
Often we have to realize the reason we have to make business an individual or company. In the case of products that we regularly buy, what helps us to make a buying decision? There is a need to buy a particular brand because they trust brand of high quality or durability. There are other people who make purchasing decisions based on price, though it is not often that happens. We often only do business because we feel good about it. Even most of the purchases or decisions to make final business is based on two things. Confidence and comfort. Trust is a very simple emotion or feeling. How are you achieving your desired results?
Trust was measured with the emotions and generated by the process of letting someone get to know more about you, not just product features and price. I know a woman who gives seminars on selling to high level ceo's. She said selling to the high level ceo's, you have more than one salesperson to sell products or services. To sell to the ceo's, you have more than a mentor. You have to find other terms then you can meet and help them to meet those needs. In doing so, you become a mentor and is trusted. They feel "comfortable" that you have their interests in mind more than make quick sales and commissions.
In the process of day-to-day we find prospective clients. We do not tend to just find someone to pitch. Should we spend more time getting to know them before we try to sell?
When we take the time to know one's wishes, dreams, and needs, and make honest efforts to help them realize that it is important to us. We are building trust, confidence, comfort level, and more importantly the relationship needed to not only make sales, but to make us an unlimited resources for reference.
While we are the people in the community meeting with prospective clients, we must continue to follow in mind. Picture your customers in the same way you would yourself. Customers have needs, so you need to help each customer fulfill that need. Until you understand what the main goal or a dream prospect, you can not meet the need via product or service.
Sales and networking is about relationships. You sell everything you do, whether you realize it or not. The time is now for sellers to build relationships more effectively. Change the way you think about the prospects and outlook will change the way they think about you.
