If you are wearing a blindfold, you are unable to see your target and it will be impossible to throw a pass to hit it. The Target Marketing concept is identifying your customers. Here are a few tips that you can utilized when you begin this process that will help you reach your goal.• Who are your customers?• What are their needs?• How to reach your Targeted Market?In order for you to select the customers that are best for your business, let’s examine them a little closer.Who are your Customers?There are two types of customers that your business can target. These customers are consumers or businesses. Most business owners agree that the individual consumers are difficulty to target because of the diversity, unpredictable, small budgets and buying preferences change with age. Business owners are stable, need variety of services/products and larger budgets.You can choose to target both groups if it makes sense for your business. For example if you own a flower shop or gift basket business. There are customers for you in both markets. It will just require that you customized you marketing plan for each group.What are their needs?There are two ways you can determine the needs of consumers and businesses. You can take the high road and hire a firm to do this for you (expensive) or conduct the research yourself. The internet is a vital tool with conducting your research. Most of the basic information is free and has already been compiled for you.It’s important to research because you will be able to find out what markets your competitors are currently serving, where market opportunities exist, and which markets will be most profitable for your business. Once you have gathered all this information complete a spreadsheet outlining the information. For example, if there are only a few Gift Basket businesses offering same day delivery. How I Doubled my Online Profits in One Month

Most of the products that I sell online are in one digital form or another, ranging from eBooks and banners to web templates and ad space [browse my ebooks for entrepreneurs]. When I started making sales online, I felt like I was floating on cloud 9. When I figured out how to double my sales in less than a month, I felt like I was on top of the world. Let me let you in on a few simple tips that can help you tap into the profit potential of your business. Here are the five things that I did to double my profits in one month: 1. I took my best selling eBooks and put them in bundles. I went from making $10 per sale to $20 per sale, and even more than that with my bigger eBook packages. I used the same system in my graphics design business. My most popular product was the $20 medium sized banner. I quickly realized that many people didn’t know how to upload their banner to their website, so I added on an additional fee of $10 for html code. Then I realized that some people wanted animation added to their banner, which meant I was doing more work, but not getting paid extra. At that point, I decided to charge an additional $10 for animation, so now my average banner design profit is $40 instead of $20 and that profit gets even bigger when customers by in bulk or purchase larger banners. 2. I started to recommend other products to my buyers when they asked questions, just before checkout, and after their purchase. Simple recommendations and follow-up emails turned small sales into up sells, which again resulted in more profits. 3. I stopped spending the majority of my time trying to find new business. I started email marketing campaigns, inviting old customers to check out new products and I started giving them exclusive discounts. I took my new $20 bundle and gave old customers exclusive $10 discounts which resulted in return sales. By staying in contact with old customers and giving them the incentive to buy new things at a discounted rate, I was able to generate return sales in addition to new sales. 4. I started my first subscription website, the Web University, where fans of my eBooks could get one new eBook from me every month in addition to monthly how-to articles and videos. My subscription websites opened up a new world of residual income and constant cash flow. Instead of having customers buy one eBook, I had them on auto-payment, which meant I was receiving payments every month. I used that same system to create my banner rotator, my black girl click ad network, and my other coaching programs to ensure that every week I was generating residual sales. 5. I started to actively promote products I used to people in my network. From Google Adsense to my top Affiliate Products, I figured out how to generate a new stream of residual income by recommending affiliate products to my list. Selling digital content, taking advantage of email marketing, affiliate marketing, and subscription programs are all really simple sales solutions that I used to double my profits in one month. Too many web entrepreneurs spend time and money focusing on marketing, and not enough time on actually making the sale, which is why most of them aren’t making any money. I decided to come up with a listing of things that I believe contribute to making web sales online: 1. Trust: When you present yourself as a professional who understands business and only sells quality, you develop a trust factor among your customers and readers. People refer friends to me because they trust I will do a good job. People open my emails because they trust my judgment and respect what I have to say. When you focus on building your reputation and earning people’s trust, rather than simply marketing yourself to anyone who comes along, you find that more people pay attention. Every time I send out a marketing email I know that I am guaranteed a certain percentage of sales based primarily on the size of my market and the trust factor between myself and my readers. Businesses don’t just add the word ‘trust’ to their brand because it sounds good. Trust truly adds to your ability to make sales. 2. Connect: When you connect with your customers on a relatable level you increase your chances of making the sale. Much of the attention I have gained online is from connecting to people on a level of mutual understanding. I am a black woman so I know how to relate to my target audience, which is Black Women. Whether you are a part of your target audience or not, you have to learn how to connect with them. Beyond trying to sell them something, my goal is to say something that speaks to my target audience, which is how I tend to grab their attention. With that connection and acquired trust comes an increased chance of a sale. 3. Quality: Product Quality and presentation go hand in hand. People buy quality products. If you are selling online, a space on which people can’t actually touch your product or service, then you need to show them that quality in any way you can. Satisfied customer testimonies, awards or press exposure, amazing product images, and/or video can help to show others the type of quality that you stand for. 4. Professionalism: If you present your business in a professional manner you have an increased chance of making more sales. From your design to your customer service, presentation to web navigation, the easier it is for people to understand what you are selling and how to buy, the more effective your business. 5. Navigation: As I previously mentioned a professional design is so important. I have visited several sites on which I couldn’t figure out where the products were or how to buy them. And I have seen sites where my purchase process failed because there was a technical issue. These are all things that decrease your sites profit potential. If you need to work on your design, make it a priority because sites with hassle-free payment pages tend to generate more revenue. Loving Hate

Alright, hold the…up ya’ll. Caucasian Americans tripping because I’ve got the unmitigated gall to talk about doing anything while being overtly African American and African Americans tripping because I would choose a book written by Caucasian Americans for an experiment in applied functional unity. Huh? And then you want to tag me “enemy” and call me threat or brainwashed? Okay, so I’ll admit it – I confuse easy, but all that rhetoric sound ludicrous to me.What is it about any proud, productive, overtly African American undertaking that terrifies and offends some fear centered, guilt ridden, responsibility avoiding white folks? Why do some choose to loudly believe that anything pro me is dangerously anti you? Bottom line: that’s impossible.The Bible and modern psychology agree that a house divided against itself cannot stand. Can we too agree on that simple truth? Thank you.In my personal microcosm, some of my best relatives (Uh-huh, thought I was gonna say friends didn’t cha? LOL) were white. Daddy’s dead now, but he married my mom and they spent 35 years together demonstrating the cruel dysfunction inherent in the American experience.Did ya’ll know I got myself ostracized from the Black Student Association in the early 70’s? Don’t think I’ve told this one publicly. The mantra back then was “Burn baby Burn.” While dramatic, it was also counterproductive, at least as far as I was concerned, and I made the mistake of saying so. Still, I think my logic was and is sound. First, arson often entails incarceration and I’ve no affinity for jails. But more importantly, a simple glance in the mirror indicates the solution is easily attainable without violence. The science is simple. The genes which produce Caucasian traits like pale skin, eyes and hair are recessive. Obedience to the mandate to make love not war drastically reduces collateral damages and making babies is just more…ah fun…than making bail bonds or caskets. Anyway, I digress.In the macro, still operating from the agreement that a house divided against itself cannot stand, the science is again simple. To the best of our, humanity’s, current knowledge life began in Africa. Am I right? And the traits, physical and social, we label Caucasian are simply the adaptations of Africans’ migration to cold and brutal climes. Yes? That means, Caucasian Americans that you are the progeny of our collective roots; like me, you are a child of Africa. I am wise enough to know that in a fight against anyone one stands only to lose oneself. A house divided cannot stand.All that said, with America being America and Caucasian Americans operating in the delusion of separatism as they do, one look at my picture will ensure you my experience has been decidedly African American – schizophrenic, complicated, ever evolving and glorious. Like my gender, my pigment is an obvious and irrevocable truth of my current existence. And you know God’s got faith in you if you were born an African American woman; don’t know what I mean, check out Job. Anyway, all that to say, that after all these years I still don’t get the concept of “black enough” but some of you have made it crystal that whatever it is, I ain’t it.Now, I’ve already admitted to confusing easy, so if I plead no lo contendre’ to all my perceived inadequacies might I bother you, my brothers and sisters, with just a few questions? Again, I thank you.How is struggling against fear utilizing fears’ tools, anger and hate, working for you? For us? For the world? Do a cursory history review or just open your eyes and take a look around. Perhaps you haven’t noticed the human race is teetering on the precipice of ultimate destruction? Yeah, that would be extinction and it renders the tried and tired political rhetoric of hate more that a little moot.I ask you to remember this “system” is fear made manifest and remember fear feeds on itself. Actions, even those with the best intentions, rooted in/fueled by fear and its cohorts, anger and hate, serve and strengthen the beast. African America, the very idea of us against them is a by-product of the divide and conquer, pillage and plunder mentality from which America was rather heinously born.I submit to you that active, intentional love is quicker and more effective. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – fighting fire with fire only produces a conflagration. I’m not talking about syrupy sweet, hugging everybody and accepting anything love. I’m talking about love that has the courage to be true to itself and its inherent divinity. We possess the power, ability and authority to simply revise the process. Why don’t we? I read somewhere that love casts out fear; I submit we dedicate ourselves to proving the veracity of that hypothesis. Commit hereEliminate “them” and “they”, whoever them and they are, not just from the equation but from our vocabulary. Will that not render the concept of us against them empty and ineffectual? It is as simple – simple and easy are not the same words – as refocusing.Like I said in my last post, our minds are wired to produce viable answers to any and every question posed. So, I challenge us to approach the tried and tired “system” with some new questions. Discover howWhat changes if regardless of circumstances or the choices of others we resolve to act from a place of integrity? What happens if we commit our choices to the standard of honoring, self, community and Divinity – not necessarily in that order? What happens if we stop fighting against those who we perceive have or want to take something from us and focus our battle on being the best we can be? What if just for today, we collectively make a personal decision to forget to be afraid? Can we honor ourselves, our similarities and our differences and silence the haters with love?

Who Doesn’t Need Extra $ In This Economy?

I joined this team in July of this year. I work part-time from home and so far, I've earned over $3,000 in retail sales and weekly commissions. This probably doesn't sound like much, but when you do the math, that's an additional $750 per month for my household! I do not work at a fast food place, or a clothing or department store, nor do I work in another office; and although there’s nothing wrong with working these kinds of jobs; I’d rather work from home and still spend time with my family.As far as I’m concerned, an extra $750 per month could mean paying off a bill or two; it could also mean getting that new car because now the note and insurance can get paid; but for some people, an extra $750 per month could mean not missing a meal or having to ration what little you do have until next payday. Listen, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t need extra $ in this economy. Do you? Besides, what can an additional $750 or more per month do for your household?

Good Morning Friend,Applications for Community Development Block Grant funding from the County and the Cities are currently available. There are 12 cities within our county that allocate CDBG dollars to non-profits, including Fontana, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Rialto and San Bernardino. You must prove that you serve residents in the unincorporated areas to request CDBG funding from the County.CDBG dollars are reimburseable. You do not receive the funds upfront. Completed applications are due no later than 5PM on November 25th. Those who apply MUST attend one of the CDBG Application Training Sessions.
