If getting the diagnosis of breast cancer and bone cancer wasn’t traumatic enough, learning that I also have osteoporosis was the real shocker. As far as I knew, only older white women appeared to be its victims as they were the only ones used to advertise and talk about it in TV and magazine ads. Never had I seen a black woman even associated with the disease. So finding out I had osteoporosis was very revealing, and something I thought important enough to share with other black women who may be in danger of having it and being unaware even of the possibility.
The type of breast cancer I have is a rare form contributed to by excess estrogen. According to my surgeon who diagnosed the cancer, the bones also produce estrogen, so the medicine they are giving me to reduce the estrogen feeding the cancer could also possibly cause osteoporosis, which is why he tested me for the problem, but we found out I already have it.
As a result, I will need to take calcium and vitamin D to build up my bones to avoid the possibility of fractures from the slightest trip or fall. Like most black people, I remember being told we have heavier or thicker bones than other ethnic groups, but regardless of that being the case, we are in need of more attention to our skeletal structure than we previously have been led to think.
Women over 40 should have a Dexa scan for bone density to be sure that they do not require a boost in their calcium intake, along with a mammogram to test for breast cancer (which I had refused for years). With the lactose intolerance from which so many black people suffer, we need to know that we should look into ways other than consuming milk to keep our bones healthy. We often hear it said that we “learn something new every day,” so I hope that this information will be something of value to your continuing good health.

Network Marketing is an excellent way for the "average Joe or Jane" to make an extra income. This business concept has been around for decades, and it will not disappear any time soon. The reason for its popularity is simple... It Works! It does however, require lots of work and most importantly, dedication and persistance to get the job done. The best part is, once you are able to set up a solid network, your business becomes MUCH less time intensive. Almost like going on "autopilot". The key is to get there as fast as possible.
Here are just a couple of tips I have found to be helpful in maximizing your Network Marketing Business:
1. Use your products regularly. This is Number 1 for a reason, this is the most ignored part of ANY network marketing business. How do you expect your business to succeed if you will not even use your own products? It does seem silly to even have to bring this up, but there are many who are not using their own products, and wonder why they are not making any money. Make a commitment to use your products for a year, and see where your business goes.
2. Educate yourself constantly. This is very important! You must rid yourself of negative ideas, sometimes referred to as "stinkin thinkin". This can be done in a variety of ways. I recommend reading at least 15 minutes a day, but try to shoot for 30. Business and self-help books are a great way to start. Don't forget your Multi-level magazines, as they are full of tips and advice. Lastly, listen to cassette tapes on multi-level tips from top earners in your business.
3. Spend as much time as possible with your upline. Your upline should have only one goal in mind, To Help You Succeed! They are a vast source of knowledge and information. Mingle with top distributors in your group, or other groups, and ask how they made it. Most everyone should be more than happy to provide you with excellent tips and advice.
4. Present your products and marketing plan personally to at least one person daily. Remember above when I said you are going to have to work, well here it is. Now here is the key, the prospects to whom you present your plan, do not have to be yours personally. Show the plan for your downline, and not only will you create "security" by placing members in your downlines' downline, it will also give you a boost in your personal income! I can guarantee if you were to follow this rule for 6 months, you would create a downline with enough width and depth to create an income to sustain you and your family for life.
5. Care for your downline. An entire book can be written on this topic. Usually, it's the little things that show you really care. Try to maintain regular contact, and always praise your distributor's accomplishments. You can even offer incentives for specific achievements, such as money, travel, recognition, or other rewards, to help motivate your group.
6. Duplicate yourself by making distributors independent of you. This will help to multiply your time, thus making you and your group more effective. Always lead by example. Never stop recruiting, training and retailing. Remember the KISS formula - "Keep It Simple, Sweety" I know, I know, I changed the last word, but it maintains the meaning. This can be done my conducting simple, brief, yet dramatic presentations, and teaching your downline to do the same.
7. Create a large customer base. This is another largely ignored, yet very important, piece of your network marketing business. Many try so hard to build a huge downline, that they forget how much profit they could also make by selling their products to retail customers. Some people will just not want to become part of your downline, no matter how great a product/system you may have. This does not mean they will not be personally interested in your product. Try to make everyone your customer. Once you earn their trust, they will come to you more, and perhaps even join your downline later. Always "leave the door open", as people needs do change.
8. Focus on your customers needs. You must give customers more than they expect, and always satisfy your customers complaints immediately. Try to listen 80% of the time, and talk only 20%. As stated above, your customers can be a huge source of future referrals and/or business. You must earn and maintain their trust. Once you have their trust, you can always ask for referrals, which leads to even more business and a larger downline.
9. Set daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals - and Write Them Down! You may have heard the expression, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." Breaking up a larger goal into smaller easily attainable goals, is the key to success. You cannot just jump to the end, you have to make progress everyday. Writing them down is another largely ignored, important tip to help you succeed. A goal is just a "passing thought", or "wish" until you put it in writing. That is when it becomes concrete and real. It is also a great idea to keep a business journal of your daily activities, as it will help you to become more productive and time-conscious.
10. Get Out There And Do It Now! All of the knowledge in the world is useless and unprofitable, until you put the most important ingredient of them all in place. This "secret" ingredient should come as no surprise at all, but this is the #1 reason for failure at anything in life. It is ACTION! Remember, knowledge is useless without action.

Ok so by now if you have been following along with my series of blogs on this your week should be complete. But it doesn't just stop at the one week challenge. In my research of how good or bad habits are created I have found that the general census is that it takes at least 30-45 days for something to become habit forming in that it is habitual, something you do on a daily basis. With that said, I believe that habitually focusing on your goals and actions toward accomplishing your goals will in essence cause your dreams and goals to manifest into reality. Especially if you have cleansed yourself of all non-essential habits, hinderances, and distractions.
So the list you created and focused on for a week, continue on through your journey of establishing your thoughts toward developing your goals into reality. So part of your process will be to create a list of short term and long term goals that you intend to accomplish by a certain date. It's important that you place an end date on when you expect these things to happen because it will help you to focus and get rid of things that cause you to procrastinate. Also it will allow you to see if your end date is reasonable, in that if you have been working on a specific goal and it is not completed by the targeted end date then you may need to revamp your goal and actions toward making it happen to see what you can improve to speed up the process, or if it's something that will need additional time.
The main point here is this, don't give up. Keep pushing toward making your vision come to pass. Also, remember an attitude of Gratitude will expedite the process of your visions, dreams, and goals, becoming a reality.

Chapter 1: Your Thoughts Create Your Reality
Greetings from Orin and DaBen!
Your thoughts have real substance, although your scientific instruments can't yet measure them. You might imagine your thoughts as "magnets." These "magnets" go out into the world and attract the substances that match them; they duplicate themselves in form. Everything around you was a thought in someone's mind before it existed in your reality. Cars, roads, homes, buildings, and cities all existed as thoughts before they became realities.
Your thoughts set up the model of what is to be created, and your emotions energize your thoughts and propel them from your inner world to your outer world. The stronger your emotions are, the more rapidly you create what you are thinking about. Your intent acts to direct your thoughts and emotions, maintaining a steady focus on what you want until you get it.
I focus on what I love
and thus draw it to me.
Because your thoughts set up the model of what you draw to you, it is important to think about what you want rather than what you don't want. You will not get what you want by fearing or hating its opposite. For instance, having money does not come from disliking living in poverty. Whatever you focus on is what you get, for energy follows thought. The more you love having money and abundance, the more you picture it and thus draw it to you.
It is also important to think in positive ways. Positive emotions and thoughts draw what you want to you. Negative emotions do not bring what you want; they bring only what you don't want. Spend quiet, reflective time thinking positively about what you want. When you do not think in higher ways, dwelling on things such as problems, you repel abundance.
Don't feel bad about negative thoughts you have, for fearing or disliking your negative thoughts gives them more power. Respond to negative thoughts as you would to small children who don't know any better; simply smile and show them a better way to be. If you recognize a negative thought, simply place a positive thought alongside it. If, for instance, you catch yourself saying, "I don't have enough money," simply say "I have an abundance of money."

loving and positive.
Positive thoughts are far more powerful than negative thoughts. One positive thought can cancel out hundreds of negative ones. Your soul stops your lower and negative thoughts from becoming realities unless having them manifest will teach you something that will help you grow. You are loved and protected by your soul and the universe. As your thoughts become higher and more positive, your soul allows more and more of them to manifest. The more you evolve, the more power your thoughts have to create your reality, and the more responsibility you have to think in higher ways.
There are many wonderful tools you can use to learn to think more positively. For instance, you can put light - an image of physical light - into the pictures in your mind. You can practice making negative thoughts fade out or dissolve, and enlarging positive thoughts. Take a moment right now to think of something you want. Select one thought you have had about why you CAN'T have it. Now, imagine that thought fading out, or imagine that thought written on a blackboard that you are erasing, or imagine putting that thought in a balloon and letting it float away. Do whatever occurs to you to remove that thought from your reality.
Now, create a thought about why you CAN have it. See that thought written out; put white light around it. Imagine someone reading the thought to you in a beautiful voice. Create a mental image of receiving or having what you want. Make the image so real you can almost touch, smell, see, and feel it. Make the image bigger, so that you are standing in the image rather than just observing it. By making your negative thoughts fade out, you take away their power to create your reality. By making your positive thoughts more vivid and real, you increase their ability to create what you want.
There is great power in repeating the thought of something you want over and over. When you got something you wanted in the past you probably thought about it frequently. Repetition firmly implants the idea of what you want to create in your subconscious, and it goes about bringing you what you think about. You want the thought to be definite and unwavering. Affirmations are positive thoughts that are repeated over and over. As you repeat them, they go directly to your subconscious where they begin to manifest as your reality. Affirm what you want in present terms, such as, "I have unlimited abundance," and repeat your positive statements frequently.
Marketing may be cut significantly when the economy is bad at most companies. However there are some cost cutting ways to continue to market in bad times. Below we visit 5 of those:
1. Find our how you can provide added-value for your clients. If you clients are happy with your services, they may from time to time as if you do: “this” or “that”. If it’s within your budget, providing new services would be a great new marketing tool.
2. Make sure you keep your service level very high. While many don’t provide a personal touch to their clients, be sure to let your clients know they can always contact you personally if they need assistance. Also be fair in your pricing so they know they are getting a great deal.
3. You can use just a bit of time and no money (outside of the phone bill) to call old leads. Try to keep a list of what’s called warm leads or persons who’ve expressed interest in your service in the past. Give a friendly call to these persons to keep your name front of mind with them.
4. Don’t be a snob when it comes to “ad-hoc” clients or those who don’t provide you with a steady income. You should be open to helping other small business persons because your help may propel them to higher levels. The clients success can turn into your success, so don’t turn away the small clients.
5. Last but not least keep your current clients in your bosom. They may be facing hard times too, so be extra kind if they are not on time with a payment or two. Let them know that they are valuable to you and you may even want to offer discounts for their loyal service if you can afford to do so.

Heard that Jesus was in the neighborhood, and wanted relief of his heavy load.
He began to cry out to the Lord," Jesus," Son of David, have mercy on me."
They tried to shut him up, but the louder he got.
"Son of David have mercy on me."
Jesus heard his cry and call on him to come.
They told him to " Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.
The blind man threw aside his garment, rose up and came to Jesus.
Jesus asked "What do you want me to do for you?"
Blind man said “Rabboni I want to receive my sight.
Jesus said, “Go your way, your faith has made you well and followed Jesus.
Jesus is a curse breaker
He's on the way to your job, your home, your bedroom.
Jesus is on His way to break all those strong holds that make you think you are doomed.
When you hear the Name Jesus things happen.
The sweetest name I know, say it over and over again.
Don't ever let anyone stop you from getting your praise on.
If you don't God will use the rocks to cry out, when it's done.
Jesus will not always show up but He'll send someone to you.
It could be me or the person next to you. To give you what you need to hear or do.
