Do You Have Misplaced Relationships In Your Life?Misplaced relationships are those relationships you have that distract, stop or sabotage your dreams and goals. Do you often find that you’re involved in relationships that disappoint you? Are you not getting what you need and desire from the people you choose to associate with? Does there always seem to be something missing? A few examples would be:• People who are only around when they want something from you.• Staying in a bad relationship because of what they can give you.• Making excuses for other's disappointing and bad behavior even though it is hurting you.• Afraid of being alone or that no one will want you.• Relationships you have with other women you know who really don’t like you or support you, talk behind your back and always telling you what to do if they were you.• Relationships with men who can’t commit, show love or who are married. So today I want you to make a commitment to remove these misplaced relationships from you life by looking at your priorities.************************************Join me at my new Ning Site - UnStoppable Women Who Win Network

So today is my birthday! I am so blessed. Much of my family is beautiful and has surrounded me with love. The greatest gift I received today was from my very loving husband. He bought Hydrangeas and some more flowers for me. Hydrangeas are my favorite. They inspire patience and calm. They make me think serene thoughts. I do not have anything that looks like a green thumb. Sooo, I decided to take some beautiful pictures of my gifts. My 5 year old thought I looked quite silly trying to get pictures to pose for me. He had to get in on the act. We made a slide show. I am also going to create some stationery for our store from some of the photos.Check out our creation in the recently uploaded videos: Justin, Mom's B-Day & Hydrangeas. Also visit us at http://threebrowngirlsandabasket.orgRemain close to your creativity.e. jones

Have We all Gone Numb?

How many shootings, how many kidnappings, how many senseless deaths will it take for people to wake up? How many homeless people do we need to wake up and do something? Just how many dropouts, teen pregnancies, how much bullying, and suicides do we need to move into action? I know—there is a prediction that the planet will reverse its axis and we will all be toast—that’s a plan. Maybe it is a good idea to wait until the youth of today are grown before we concern ourselves with the damage that is being done to them by having metal detectors and policemen in their schools and living in fear—fear is a great molder of personalities. Maybe we should sit around and just wonder how our young people will make it in tomorrow’s world with an inferior education and let’s wait to find out the affects of teaching to the tests instead teaching them to think critically. We can wait—we’ll probably be dead anyway. The plates a shifting beneath our feet just like an earthquake it is almost imperceptible, but it is shifting nonetheless. Having been in an earthquake, I can tell you, once it starts there is nothing much that you can do about it accept ride it out and clean up the damage afterwards. There are lots of things that you can do before it happens to retrofit the areas that are likely to be affected. That is what I am asking you to do now. We need to retrofit our families, our communities, and our world to minimize the damage that will be done if we don’t make some changes right now. Here’s what I know and love about people—they will rise to the occasion when disaster strikes—be it earthquakes, a tsunami, tornados, hurricanes, or any dramatic emergency. We run to the scene, we raise money, we donate clothes and food—we unify for a common cause. Now I am asking us to EMERGE before the emergency hits. I am calling for you to wake-up. My call is to baby-boomers who have the wisdom and resources to lead and to younger people who have the stamina and energy to run this course. I am calling out “spiritual seekers” who have spent years focusing on self growth, to turn outward and to begin to serve from their enlightened insight. We need all hands on deck.I am not going to tell you what to do—let Spirit be your guide—but I am asking you to do something. Being a world changer is a daunting task if you are trying to do it by yourself or trying to figure it out for yourself. That’s what this call to unity is about. I think we collectively can agree on a few things and that is that we all want peace, love, joy, health, and prosperity. Anyone who doesn’t want these things please feel free to just go back to sleep, but I promise you, the wave of change will eventually sweep over you. This past weekend a 6 year old got a knife from his home and swung it at my grandsons, 2 people were shot and killed in a nightclub, and I read about 2 small children being found in a dumpster after being reported taken by their mother’s boyfriend. I am, quite frankly, pissed! I am well past waiting and hoping. Join our community www.7principles.ning.com, take the 7 Principles Pledge, and one of the other steps, and be about the business of change, healing, and purposeful living. We will create a future that is worth living. It is a matter of consciousness. Wake-up!

Happy Monday!I am back from Blogher 2009 (www.blogher.com). I had a grand time with the Blogher ladies and sponsors in Chicago. I also had so much fun using my Vado Creative Cam and filming webisodes of Ananda Leeke TV (www.youtube.com/anandaleeke). I was able to create a groovy series on Black women bloggers who attended the conference. Look for the webisodes later this week. I also filmed some fun episodes featuring me sharing my insights and chatting with Sam Smith, one of the coolest guys at Blogher. I did something unexpected and participated in two video projects. One was for Tropicana Juice. I gave my healthy tip on eating oatmeal with raisins and honey for breakfast. My webisode will be posted on Blogher and Tropicana’s web sites. I also gave my two cents on what advertisers should consider when marketing to women in a documentary filmed by Holly Buchanon. The Windy City weather was fabulous. I had time to meet my cousin Ellen and sistalove Mari for dinner at two Indian and Nepalese restaurants. I also went to the National Museum of Mexican Art. I will post videos from Ananda Leeke TV featuring my museum visit later this week.Be sure to tune into Sisterhood, the Blog Radio Series on Blogher 2009 beginning Tuesday, July 28 at 8pm EST on Talkshoe.com: http://www.talkshoe.com/tc/42015. I will reveal my reasons for attending the conference on July 24 and 25 in Chicago, favorite Blogher moments, and lessons learned from Blogher workshop sessions. I will also give a preview of the August series of interviews featuring approximately nine Blogher participants. If you miss the live show, don’t panic. "Affirm your life, your goals and your dreams. I love knowing that I'm getting value for my dollar (and time), and that I'm getting special treatment by way of a monetary deduction. When I do my calculations and confirm that I'm on the winning end of a deal, I say an emphatic YES!YES, to the deal; YES, to myself; YES, to the fact that I deserve a discount! To that end, I use coupons, I rummage sale racks, and in my own business ventures, I look for ways to give the same courtesy to existing and potential clients. Are you happy?

Are you happy? I mean really truly happy. Now I'm not talking about perfect, I mean we all have ideas about what could make our lives better. I'm not talking about being content either. I am talking about genuine happiness. Before you answer that question, I want you to think about two things:1. How do you define happiness? What does it really mean to you?2. What makes you happy? Now, based on the answers to those questions, are you happy? If you say yes, GREAT! That means that you are on the right track. Now what are you going to do about it? That's right, how are you going to maintain it? How are you gonna take it to the next level? If the answer is no, then my question for you is the same: what are you going to do about it?Let's face it, happiness is a choice. Just the same, success is also a choice. Not just one choice, but a series of choices. A process. The bright side is that you are never too young or too old to change direction and get busy. You can decide today, right now, to be happy and successful.Take a second and think about it. Let me remind you that it is going to be a challenge. It's gonna take some hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Remember, anything worth having is worth the sacrifice it takes to get it.Whatever you dream of doing, no matter how wild or far fetched it may seem to others, is possible.Microsoft was a dream to Bill Gates at some point, and what do you think his friends and family thought? I mean computers were not even commonplace. And Al Gore's family and friends must have though he was all types of crazy. He had a dream of using computers to allow people to communicate and connect all over the world, instantaneously. Thus the birth of the Internet. Where would we be if he was afraid to dream? As my dad always says "Dreamers built the world."The first step in Discovering your Dreams is to really think about what those dreams are.Your Homework:* Get a 2 spiral notebooks, or a legal pad and a spiral notebook. See you next week.* Come back next weekend for the next step in the process* Comment below and tell me:What do you dream of doing? What do the people in your life have to say about that? You can subscribe to this blog at www.discoveryourdreams.blogspot.comFollow us on twitter at www.twitter.com/XperiencEduCorp
