Calling all Women - We need 1 Million Women to Join the Financial Literacy Campaign

Please help us to reach our goal. Tell all your friends to Join us at http://financialfitnessforlife.ning.com.

We are serious, no nonsense women who are determined, driven and focused. We have monthly meetings where we map out ways to improve your personal finances, business, ministry, relationships or ways to help you get started with your purose.

"Women can invest, save, and handle Money as well and skillfully as any man"

Did you know that in 2009, one million women declared bankruptcy -- 150,000 more than the number of men in the same year. Women work an average of 12 fewer years than men, get less in Social Security and retirement, and live longer. Roughly 90 percent of women will be solely responsible for managing their finances at some point in their lives.

Elizabeth Habersham, a Coach on Finances who is the President & CEO of the 2010 Financial Fitness for Life Campaign, pointed to these sobering statistics as evidence of the need to provide financial education that translates into practical application over the long term.

OK ladies it's Valentine's day tomorrow and I know there are mixed emotions.
Included in this blog post on savvy women's tips I want to share some insight
on love and hopefully motivate you to look at your life in a different way.

Bravo!!!! To those of you who are already living this way.

The greatest love to we as Christians is Father God's love as He gave His
only son for us.

I'd like you to remember that, however, I'd also like to focus on you.
Yes, you. In the bible it says to love your neighbor as you love yourself,
however, all too many times that's the problem we don't love ourselves!!
Ladies until we can learn to love ourselves it doesn't matter one bit how
many brothas, fellas you have.

You will probably self sabotage every relationship because you are
counting on the man to fulfill you and "to make you happy!"

You must come to terms with how unique, how special how absolutely
incredible you are. You are a unique one of a kind gift from Father God.
He didn't make robots.

There is a song that was so-o-o-o very instrumental in my learning to
love myself and to feel good about myself. It was a song that Whitney
Houston sang very early in her career and some of the words said
"learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all."

You see when you love yourself you are less inclined to be intimidated
by those with more education, money, followers (smile) than you. A better
car, home, body than you might think that you have. You will be so confident
in who and whose you are that excuse me "none of it matters" enough to stop
or block you.

My gift to you is to challenge you to discover more about you.
Discover your core values, what makes you unique, what your purpose is.
And this savvy woman will help you live a delicious life with no apologies.

Of course I'm going to invite you to connect with me for additional
support on this new journey by either joining my
Breakthrough Mentoring and Coaching program here or attending my preview call and you'll need to register here
for that. We will definitely cover a self discovery component during Breakthrough.

Happy Valentines Day!!

Celebrity Kids - Teen Kids

Celebrities Kids | Celebrity Obsession: Are our teens too star-struck?

Following the lives of teen celebrities such as Taylor Lautner or Miley Cyrus are part of the normal past time for the average teenager today. While on the surface this may sound like the sort of thing we'd expect a young person to be doing with their time, this behavior can also lead to some major psychological issues that have far-reaching effects. In a recent study of adolescents between 11 and 16 years of age, two major categories were identified that pertain to how teens relate to celebrities.

The first category, called "entertainment social celebrity worship", consisted of teens that viewed celebrities as sources of entertainment and talked frequently about celebrity news. This was considered completely normal for the everyday teenager. These teenagers displayed healthy emotional independence. However, the second category called "intense personal celebrity worship" showed teenagers who were seeking a personal connection to the celebrity and often developed an unhealthy obsession. These teens, while trying to go through the normal maturity cycle, seemed to suffer from lower self-esteem and confidence than their peers. Their relationships with family and friends were extremely poor.

So this begs the question, "How can we prevent our teens from becoming too often with the lives of celebrities?" Well, there are a few things that can help. First, teens should be actively involved or engaged in school activities. Teens who have responsibilities such as an after school job or specific household responsibilities have less idle time on their hands. Also, teens should be encouraged to volunteer their time to serve in the community to develop an awareness of others who are less fortunate. Lastly, teens who are encouraged to have a spiritual foundation often have a healthier self-confidence and thus feel less inclined to seek out celebrities to idolize.

YOU ARE NOT THE CEO!

For many years I have studied the direct sales industry. And it makes melaugh every time someone tells me I'm the CEO of my company.Hellooo...It's not my company!!

I have a few questions to ask you and this will confirm you are not theCEO.

Can you change the logo at your free will?

When you signed the contract, were the guidelines and policies somethingyou put in place?

Why are you addressed as the affiliate, associate, or representativeoppose to Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, ChiefFinancial Officer or even President?

Billions of people become reps. of direct sales companies by theseconds. I actually love the direct sales industry and the system theyhave in place. There are so many millionaires and billionaires that wereborn from following the systems that were put in place. Just fromduplicating the successful ASSOCIATES before them.

However, it's not your own business!!! You are simply representingsomeone else company to help them sell their products or service. Youare assisting the CEO of those companies live their dreams. If youfollow the system, be self motivated, and focused you and also live outyour dreams.
Just a reminder ..... You are not the CEO!

Do you know their are limits? If you wake up tomorrow with a new ideafor a product or service that you believe will take that company tohigher heights, can you just call a meeting with your board of directorsor advisory to have this new big idea implemented in what the companyalready has in place? Let me answer that...NO!
Because you are not the CEO!

Do you want to be the CEO? Start your own business.

Become a Business Owner and figure out a way that the company you areaffiliate with product or services and be an enhancement to YOURcompany.

If you do not want to the responsibility of running your own company, noproblem. Just know your position and don't let anyone play mind gameswith you.

The other day I was speaking to two very dear friends, who both are indirect sales. These queens are independent associates. Neither one ofthem are active with these companies. They gave me many a few reasonswhy they are not active. From listening to them speak, I feel that theyare not active because it does not fall in line with either one of theirpurposes. They were not passionate enough to build up their directsales business.

One of the queens she is a business consultant. Now to me as a businessconsultant her company could benefit from the services that her directsales company offered. I recommended she added the services to her lineof services. It gave her company more value.

By the end of the conversation, she really seen how she can take bothcompanies to another level without being overwhelmed.

As the CEO you can change the rules. You can change the logo.

The purpose of writing this message at 2:30am is just to bringawareness to those of you who say you are the CEO of someone else directsales company.

YOU ARE NOT THE CEO!!!

Your Dream Undeferred

The past couple weeks, I’ve been bombarded by the harsh ramifications of America’s weak economy on friends and clients alike. Repeatedly I’ve heard pined for dreams of business ownership assassinated by laments over lack of cash. It breaks my heart and fires my passion to think of all the dreams deferred or worse abandoned because the dreamer confused money with resources and accepted the delusion that possibility is dictated by bank balance.

I just stopped by today to tell you that’s a load of bunk; wherewithal and creativity can create money. Money cannot create innovation or talent. Think about it and be reminded that a shortage of dollars in no way equates to a shortage of promise. I implore you to take an honest and meticulous accounting of the gifts, talents and experiences you have in your hand and assure you, you will discover you are exceedingly well equipped to step out into your dreams come true.

Be encouraged; you can Start Your Business Today Without One Thin Dime. I’m not blowing smoke; I’ve walked this talk. I had glimpses of a vision and little else but time 18 months ago when I decided to get serious about this cyber entrepreneur thing; perseverance, awesome teachers and amazing friends carried and lifted me to this place where I have quite a few thin dimes. I’m not going to pretend it has been easy. I’ve busted my bootie and still do; I am going to tell you blessings ain’t personal. If I can do it, so can you.

Many of you know of my strong aversion to time clocks; for those of you who didn’t, this isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve very little patience for corporate structure and have therefore spent my life earning my living by my creativity. I’ve trained with folks like Tony Robbins and Brian Tracy and started from scratch more times than I care to count; this cyberspace thing was new to me though. Gotta tell you I’m loving it. I’m making a comfortable life for me and my son from the middle of my bed, in my warm comfy jammies. I stepped out on the gifts, talents and experiences I had in my hand and I repeat, if I can do it, you can too.

I wrote Start Your Business Today Without One Thin Dime to share the encouragement and practical knowledge to help you do just that – Start YOUR Business TODAY. I show you how to develop a simple business plan and identify your target market, as well as how to build relationship with your customers and close the deal. What is it? Passion. I don’t know how many women I’ve had a chance to
talk to, counsel, coach and mentor who often tell me I don’t have a
passion or they might say I have many things that I like but no passion
for any of them. And then some just simple ask how can I discover my
passion.

Finding your passion yields turbo-charged success.

"Follow your passion, and success will follow you." ~Arthur Buddhold

I’veoften told women that knowing your passion will fuel your motivation
and give you incredible energy. It also pushes you through crisis and
allows you to focus in the midst of crisis or any other time of your
life as mentioned in my special report “How to stay focused in crisis.!”

Knowing your passion and living your passion will attract your ideal clients to you.

Takea look at the word passion here a : ardent affection : love b : a
strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or
concept c : sexual desire d : an object of desire or deep interest .

I'dlike to reference b : a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some
activity, object, or concept and d : an object of desire or deep
interest. Meriam webster dictionary

We all have passion and it may need to be discovered, re-discovered or renewed.

Ifyou don’t know your passion or need to renew your passion don’t give
up. There are a few things you can do. I’ll mention a couple here.

Takesome time to reflect, go back to when you were a child and answer what
was that one thing that gave you excitement when you thought of it?

What makes you come alive?

Ifyou're looking to renew your passion you must first take inventory and
answer the questions above. Next recommit to living your best empowered
life and that includes not settling for anything less than anabundant life. Once you discover or rediscover and commit, it's up to you to take inventory of the resources
around you that will enable to follow your passion.

There are many other elements involved, however, the information I've shared here will give you a start.

My Story

I was born March of 77 to a strong single parent, Lavonia Johnson. During my early years my mom worked full time while attending cosmetology school. She then opened a beauty parlor, Lavonia’s Unlimited Styles and remained working full time as a dietician at a private daycare in order to provide for us. My mom was my hero, my best friend, my beginning and my end. All my life it was just the two of us. I was well cared for and nurtured. I felt safe and secure. And as I grew into the woman I am today you could see how my mom’s blueprint played a major role in the shaping of my life.

June 2009, I lost my job, and July 2009, just two days after my mother’s 62nd birthday, she suddenly passed away. And I was there from the beginning to the end. As I saw her soul leave her body all I could sing is “What A Mighty GOD We Serve, What A Mighty GOD We Serve!” My world crumbled, the color of my shell became gray but it could not completely disappear for I, and I alone, had to provide for and take care of my 4 year old daughter Danielle (Danie). She too was there and witnessed the beginning of her grandmother’s transition to be with the Lord. I had no idea how to explain to Danie that even though grandma and I left to go to the hospital together, grandma would never return.

I recalled the day I just laid there wrapped in my sorrow, and Danie kept tapping me. She put her round face right in front of mine--for those who don’t know my daughter, she is an advanced 4 year old and her personality had already developed, her spirit was one that had been reborn; nonetheless, she is definitely my offspring, a mini me! Watch out world--she said “Mom? MOM! GET UP! I’m hungry and you know grandma is not coming back! It is just you and me, so you have to fix me something to eat!” From that day forward I have been striving to keep myself together for her, and in the end what’s best for her is best for me.

I still have not fully grieved for my mother, but I rejoice in her memories. I cry when reminiscing about the past, and I laugh when I think of all the funny moments. I still remember the words she said to me the day I came home from losing my job. She looked at me with a very humble face, and although she felt sorry for me there was nothing she could do. She said, “You will be okay, everything will be alright.” Prior to my mother’s passing she kept speaking of wanting to go and visit her mom, my grandmother. She said that when she got there, we were going have a big party and there would be lots of people. Every week she would ask “We are still going right?” She would then remind me we were going the end of July or the beginning of August and I said “Yes mom, I know,” as she had told me a hundred times already! I had a service for my mother the end of July in NYC and she was buried in GA the beginning of August. Funny how she arrived where she so longed to be just when she wanted to.

I looked at my life and I was just disgusted with how I had fallen off track. I have my Associates Degree, and I had started working on my Bachelors and stopped right at the finish line. I needed 39 credits. 2003 was the last time I was in school. I realized that I had started something that I had not finished, and that was not me. I was also instilling in my daughter that education is important but I felt like a hypocrite. School was the one thing I valued growing up and the one thing I failed to finish. When I arrived back home after the funeral I began to take the necessary steps to enroll again not realizing six years had passed. If it is the last thing I do, I will finish! As I write, I am in school and after this semester I will have nine more credits to go yaaaaaaaay!

I was raised as an only child; my mother would always tell me “GOD bless the child that has their own.” She left me and I felt alone, as if I had no one and nowhere to turn. The one thing that was constant in my life was that I loved myself and that I knew for sure. There was once a time when I loved someone more than I loved myself and I went through what I considered being some serious transitions in life. I found myself dealing with situations I was not accustomed to nor did I want to become accustomed to. It was not until I was about to deliver what was my only true surprise in life that the love for my unborn was greater than the love I had developed for myself. I knew something had to change. In all my times of desperation, despair and confusion all I had was me. I was the keeper of my destiny. I, with the power of GOD, had the ability to change what I did not like or the direction I was headed.

As a child I remember playing in the tub and creating what I called bubble world. I was always, and still am very imaginative and creative. I love to take baths. There was something about the warmth of the water that soothed me. It was the only time I had peace within my mind. The time I use to shower or bathe is the time I would use to not only clean my skin but to pamper myself. It is my time. And even if it is only a quick ten minutes it is all mine and I do not have to care or focus on anyone else but me!

January 2010, I started Me Myself & I. I began distributing luxury beauty products, hoping that the joy, relief, the time for reflection, the time to remember to love yourself and put yourself first would be able to help others as it has helped me. Me Myself & I envisions a world with people who value self-love and appreciation; and who are committed to providing themselves with the necessary care to be true to these values. We are dedicated to providing a wide array of luxury beauty products that will allow you to heal and rejuvenate the mind, body and soul.

Visit www.memeandmoreme. Treat you! Love yourself! Remember, “If you don’t, then who will?” Me Myself & I Luxury Beauty Products are designed just for you!
