Here is another question I get asked a lot, is it hard to purchase a short sale home. Well my answer to that is what do you consider hard? In Orlando Florida the vast majority of homes on the market now are short sales. Here are a few tips I give potential home-buyers before they decided to purchase a short sale not necessarily in this order.•1. A home may not really be a short sale ( lender approval is needed)•2. Just because they are advertising a certain price, it may not sell for that price.•3. Be aware of homes priced to low, remember if it seems to good to be true it is•4. Be prepared to submit an offer higher than the lowball short sale offer; I educate my customer to submit an offer that is close to the market value.•5. An educated Realtor, there are multiple things that need to be done (check and see if their are multiple liens, how much is actually owed on the house, make sure the listing agent has everything need so it does not delay the closing. etc).•6. Be PATIENT, most (not all) short sales take 4 to 6 months to close, just because you submit an offer, you should be aware you could be outbid.Buying a short sale in Orlando, Florida can be a bit overwhelming, it will require a lot of patience, but in the end you could own a piece of the American dream at a reduced price! If you are interested in purchasing real estate in the Greater Orlando, Florida area contact me .Yvonne Long, RealtorCell# 321-217-4321Innovative Realty Solutions Group, IncYvonnel.long@gmail.com

Some entrepreneurs think social networking is profitable and others think it’s pointless. The ones who don’t do it are either making good money doing ‘other stuff’ or they’re upset because they can’t get social networking to work for them. As someone who makes good money social networking, let me give you a few good reasons why social networking isn’t pointless and how it can be very profitable for you.
When you think about the fact that every show you watch and practically every friend or family member you have is on Facebook, Youtube, or Twitter… what does that tell you? People are social networking more and doing everything else less. They are watching less tv, their reading fewer magazines and newspapers and that means that if you want to reach more people, more customers, you’ve got to tap into the profit potential of social networking. Print media is out, social networking is in and it's free, which is all the more reason for you to learn how to profit from it while you still can.
If you just sit back and look at the entrepreneurs scrambling to join a ton of networks, you might think the profit simply comes from sharing your business link with as many social friends as you can, but it doesn’t. Truth be told, only a handful on people know how to profit from social networking because most people are doing it wrong. The easiest way to profit from social networking is to spend money advertising on popular social networks OR to spend time figuring out how to profit the no-cost marketing way.
If you are like me, investing thousands in advertising isn’t an option, so your only option is to utilize these free spaces the right way. The secret is simple. Think of social networks as free media outlets where you have access to thousands of potential customers. Initially your job is NOT to get those people to buy; it’s to get THEM to notice You and when they do notice you… that’s when the magic starts to happen.
I doubled my profits in a matter of months by meeting the right people on the right social networks. I made a few mistakes and made a lot of money, so I can honestly tell you how this ‘STUFF’ works if you want to know. Take my 7 Day ecourse, “Selling on Social Networks.” It is filled with eGuides and social networking training videos that you can watch online.

This is such a great network. I am enjoying this throughly. Please add me as your friend. I am not a black woman outside, people that know me well always say I am a black woman stuck in a white body :)God Bless you all :)RuthiePS I loved listening to Gladys Knight talking on Michael Jackson, Only God is the judge..He was so talented and His life was unique. My prayer is that in his death, many will consider their own God-given gifts and talents and let the Lord develop them. Michael was about perfection and his work showed it. He was the Elvis of my generation.

Finding the right balance between time and money is one of life’s never ending sagas. We all have heard it before. People get up in the morning in a dead heat, take a shower, make breakfast, eat, drive one hour to work, come home late, feed the kids, pet the dog, do a load of laundry, say hello to the spouse, work the home business for a couple of hours and poof! 24 hours is gone and the bills still haven’t been paid. Perhaps a second job is in order but, there is no time. The struggle for time and money is a delicate life technique few people can achieve without diligent thought and planning. Without reflection of desires and goals, many of us spend time as though it has no worth or, spend money as though it comes to the bank without great effort. Both time and money are needed finite resources. When used properly and thoughtfully, time and money can bring great joy and satisfaction. Follow some of the tips below to help pave the wave for a money/time balance that promotes life happiness. But How Do I Balance Time and Money?1) What are your immediate, midrange and long-term goals. By identifying what you want to accomplish, you can better plan the time and money necessary to achieve your goals.2) Determine who is going to be involved in your life plan. If you have a husband, wife and children, sit down and discuss what the goals are as a family and as individuals. Consistent communication and negotiations of goals will allow everyone’s needs to be met. The same philosophy holds true for any worthwhile relationship. If Joe knows that Suzie wants to earn money for the family by working on her business two hours a day four nights a week, Joe can agree to take up the family chores for that allotted time. On the weekends, Joe may want to improve his golf game on Saturday mornings so, Suzie makes sure little Jimmy gets to his ball games on time so Joe can meet his leisure goals. By communicating desires and goals to the family, everyone can have the balance of time and money they need.3) Decide what is important. As we mature, life events make us examine our needs more acutely because time is not on our side. We may have money, but time with our friends and family start tipping the scale.4) If you are starting a new business and want to be one of the top 20% income earners world wide, capitalize your business with time because working more at your nine to five job will not make you wealthy. Slash the household budget but do not put more time into salaried employment.5) Does your family need more time? If you have more money then time, find other people to do the things you are not skilled in doing for your business. For example, maintaining a wordpress blog can take enormous amounts of time. Spend the extra $50 a month to have a technical specialist make adjustments because in the end, it may take you 10 hours to do what an expert can do in one hour. Ten hours is a lot of time that can be spent with your family and your time is definitely worth more than $50 an hour.6) Be respectful of your time, it is a non-renewable resource. Once used, time is gone forever.7) Make an investment of time in yourself. Your willingness and desire to work extra hours to master a field by investing time, to gain the experience of failure in a world of uncertainty, will pay off. Those who are unwilling to master their field will always remain in mediocrity for the rest of their lives.8) The compounding process is what produces great success. Consistent action is key. However, the front-end costs, especially psychological costs, keep most people away from their life goals. People unwillingly serve as salary earners rather than creators.9) Respect your family and friends throughout your journey. Without their support, time and money have little meaning.Time is money but, when spent wisely, a life of balance and joy will follow.Authors Note: For a free 30 minute consultation on how to start your business for success, contact me at sofiahogan.com. Believe it or not, I’ve spent a good portion of the last ten years searching for Black Businesses Online. I like convenience as much as the next shopper, but it’s almost impossible to shop conveniently when trying to support other black owned businesses. I’m sure you know what I mean. It’s ten times easier to simply go to your local Walmart or Target for just about everything, than it is to find local black products and black business owners to support.
Finding Black Businesses isn’t always easy, but it’s a challenge worth undertaking. Being a black entrepreneur, I feel it’s important to support other black businesses as much as I expect others to support me. Long story short, among the many things that I do online, I maintain the Search Urban Directory, which is in my opinion one of the biggest and most comprehensive online directories of black businesses and black websites.
I’m always impressed by the new and exciting minority owned businesses that are submitted to the Search Urban Directory on a weekly basis. Contrary to popular belief, we do have an ever growing number of black inventors and innovators creating products and services designed to make our lives better. If I can support them simply by maintaining this directory, I know that I’m making it a little easier and a little more convenient for other black consumers to commit to buying black online and in their local communities.

After doing several Social Media Workshops, Panel discussions and everything in between. I am writing this article for all of the conversations, discussions and pushback. I hope this list adds some value.Social Media is NOT…1. It is NOT the Holy Grail… Yes it is everywhere. Yes it is low cost. Yes it is effective. Yes it is Powerful if used properly. It still can only be one prong of your overall marketing approach. Social Media is designed to strengthen and insulate relationships. You still need some traditional marketing. Obviously this is based on your market, your company, your goals etc. It is meant to enhance and amplify your message. Do not put all your eggs in any basket. Balance, prioritize, have a strategy and goals. Engage you audience.2. It is NOT Magic… You are not pulling a rabbit out of a hat. It is not a way to pull the cover over your customer’s eyes. So let me advise not going out and planting those beans in hopes of a magic beanstalk.3. It is NOT Fake… I truly believe it can be either the most powerful tool or the biggest fake. Always remember that you have to earn attention. It is creating, maintaining and enhancing relationships. So do not have someone write tweets for you. Work hard at providing the right experience for the right audience in an authentic and genuine way.4. It is NOT One-Way… I hear SO many people say that they do not think a social media tool doesn’t work or that social media overall is not an effective medium. Then after discussion with them about how they are using it, we discover they use it as a broadcast medium. They do not engage with the audience. They create content and let it sit without using the real power of the medium. CONVERSATION. This creates connection.5. It is NOT Advertising… It is not about you. It is social exchange of ideas, thoughts, insights and best practices. The great news for those who forget. It is Social Media and it is in the title for you. It is SOCIAL. It is a chance to interact with your customers, prospects and suspects in an engaging way.6. It is NOT Something to Do Without a Plan… Take the time and effort to set some goals, a benchmark. Have an idea where your audience is and what you are going to share with them. Start with a destination and then a map of how you will get there. If you do not, then any road will get you there and that road may be through un-travelable roads or roads with heavy roadblocks.7. It is NOT Corporate… Again, this is human and personal. Do not talk about you, your products or your company. Do not talk like a corporation in your annual report. Do not talk with your logo. Speak in a voice. Be real. Be from this planet. Have fun and relax.8. It is NOT a Replacement For Eyeball to Eyeball… It is a way to enhance person to person networking. It strengthens relationships. It is a great way to share or talk about events.9. It is NOT a FREE… So even though the platforms require a very low cost. It requires a lot of human capital to run a successful social media campaign. There is a big cost; it just doesn’t come in the way of subscription or dues. There is also a bigger cost of avoiding and putting on the backburner.10. It is NOT Without Work & Effort… You cannot just put up a profile and then go away. It requires interaction and engagement. The effort can not be when you want. It has to be frequent, consistent and sustained.Even though this list is not exhaustive, it is something to think about.Other Related Article(s)I wrote another article last week you might also enjoy about 10 Myths of Social Media - http://tr.im/tSLS* By Chad Rothschild MBA, Marketing & Branding Expert | Social Media Marketing Authority | Author | Speaker | Workshops | www.chadrothschild.com

I just recently lost 10 lbs so I had to reward myself with a hot fudge brownie sundae. A homemade brownie, vanilla icecream (though I wish it was Blue Bell), hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry. I was not counting one single, solitary calorie and if I could have thought of something else to add on to it I would have! It took me about 30 minutes to eat it because I savored every morsel!Ladies, when you get overwhelmed with the thoughts, goals, aspiration, tasks, responsibilities, and dreams of being a successful entrepreneur, think of the hot fudge brownie sundae. Do one thing related to your business and then eat you a sundae (or do something to REWARD yourself). As time passes, do two things and then reward yourself. Keep increasing the number of things you do to get your reward and then look back in awe of all that you have accomplished.May God's Favor chase you down and overtake you!Kimberlyhttp://www.iamcoolinandschoolin.com

I make money from social networking. How do I do it? I know how to attract the attention of my ideal customers on social networks. And I know how to get people to buy the things that I sell, just from sharing information, creating conversations, and posting a few videos.
Are you trying to Sell On Social Networks? Let me share my social networking strategies with you: http://www.socialmediasistas.com/selling-on-social-networks.phpRead more…
Today I thought I would sit down and share a tip or two with my readers and fellow entrepreneurs online. This past week, a few sistas have asked me about my web business (they were not really looking for a designer) just wanting to know how they could get started and do what I do. New to me, the obvious questions were do I do this full time and is it profitable?
Yes and yes. Though you won't hear me claiming to make Five thousand dollars a week, I can say with all honesty that I do make thousands of dollars as a full time, work at home mom building websites, selling digital eBooks, ecourses, and coaching other women entrepreneurs. The BIG question I get is of course, "When did I really start to see profits online? What did I do?"
My honest answer is simple: When I discovered my niche and created my own social network, I essentially made my own market. I figured out that I loved working with and really connected with other women entrepreneurs of color, so when I created BBWO (a space for us) I found friends. To my surprise many of my new friends wanted to either learn from me or utilize my design services, which opened up a steady stream of customers. At that point and ever since, I've paid nothing for online promotion, because I figured out how to drive traffic to my websites and promote my businesses just by building my own networks.
There's is my answer and I hope it helps inspire and provide direction for my fellow 'work and web women' trying to build their buzz online.
I am coming out with an new eCourse on Social Media Marketing this week, so if you are interested in that, definitely let me know. In the mean time, feel free to download and read 2 of my best selling eBooks, which I've just bundled for you: "Turn Your Niche into a Network" and "Create Your Own Ningalicous Network".
