It is often said that it not about who you know that matters, it's who knows you. Well I wanted to convey this statement by saying that not just whom you know and who know you, but how well you know them and they with you too.

Business networking is the final form of promotion. This can help you to get new clients, new jobs, or even help you move up the corporate ladder. This is the exact same process it takes to build relationships. Every time you attend meetings, trade shows, or social functions, you are networking and that's a fact whether you know it or not. This is your relationships with people, prospects or clients who make the difference between success and failure.

Often we have to realize the reason we have to make business an individual or company. In the case of products that we regularly buy, what helps us to make a buying decision? There is a need to buy a particular brand because they trust brand of high quality or durability. There are other people who make purchasing decisions based on price, though it is not often that happens. We often only do business because we feel good about it. Even most of the purchases or decisions to make final business is based on two things. Confidence and comfort. Trust is a very simple emotion or feeling. How are you achieving your desired results?

Trust was measured with the emotions and generated by the process of letting someone get to know more about you, not just product features and price. I know a woman who gives seminars on selling to high level ceo's. She said selling to the high level ceo's, you have more than one salesperson to sell products or services. To sell to the ceo's, you have more than a mentor. You have to find other terms then you can meet and help them to meet those needs. In doing so, you become a mentor and is trusted. They feel "comfortable" that you have their interests in mind more than make quick sales and commissions.

In the process of day-to-day we find prospective clients. We do not tend to just find someone to pitch. Should we spend more time getting to know them before we try to sell?

When we take the time to know one's wishes, dreams, and needs, and make honest efforts to help them realize that it is important to us. We are building trust, confidence, comfort level, and more importantly the relationship needed to not only make sales, but to make us an unlimited resources for reference.

While we are the people in the community meeting with prospective clients, we must continue to follow in mind. Picture your customers in the same way you would yourself. Customers have needs, so you need to help each customer fulfill that need. Until you understand what the main goal or a dream prospect, you can not meet the need via product or service.

Sales and networking is about relationships. You sell everything you do, whether you realize it or not. The time is now for sellers to build relationships more effectively. Change the way you think about the prospects and outlook will change the way they think about you.

Sexy Fine

This blog has a two fold initiative. The first one is about being a woman that illuminates great beauty from the inside out. The woman that stands tall even though only 4 feet high. This first initiative is about keeping the the outside matching the beauty inside. The second initiative calls forth the wife who keeps looking the same as she did when she first got married.Neither of these is the everyday woman. This is not the woman who has birthed four children, works a 9-5 and tries to keep home. This is the woman who has a great support system, values herself as much as she values her relationship with the LORD and really, really is that Proverbs 31 woman. This woman is sexy fine. This woman has beauty and brains, and really knows how to keep it together without losing heart or hope.We all can have this, but we have to put forth an effort. What is the effort?First of all, knowing that we are missing a small point of the mark is the main effort. As women we want people to accept us the way we are, which is fine, but when we worked hard to get our husbands, we should work hard to keep them. When we took the time to educate ourselves to get our degree, we should educate ourselves to keep our businesses.Sexy fine is more than just the beauty on the outside, it's everything that makes us who we are. We value ourselves. We love ourselves. God made us unique. There has to be a point where we say enough is enough, I need to eat right, I need to exercise, and I need to obtain better knowledge that will take me far. That is the second part of the effort. We have to DO.1. Acknowledge2. DoHow can you move forward in this and go the extra mile for yourself? Connect with a business and lifestyle coach that has more of your best interest at heart. A coach that continuously finds doors that GOD has already opened and urges you to go through them. The effort comes in the research not just the investment. You have to know that you want to be sexy fine! Do you want to be sexy fine inside out? Work it out with ME Coach DANA...It's not about what I get but what I can give you . I can put in the effort to push YOU forward in business and in life.I offer business classes, weekly motivational moments, exercise clubs and healthy snacks. 10744060893?profile=originalAfter a mentor of mind ask me the question, “Why Does This Sign Scare So Many People? Think about the path you’re on right now. Where is it leading you?” I thought about myself and all others that were at a desperate point in their lives and nothing that they try seem to work. They’ve tried different opportunities and never seem to get ahead, but just keep getting pulled back in. The U Turn Can Be Scary and Intimidating….

Dreamcatchers To The Future and Beyond

Logo13-2.jpg
I've recently gotten more questions about the dreamcatcher earrings. I thought it would be fun to share with everyone.

When was the first dreamcatcher craft you made? What was the inspiration?

-I can't really remember the first dreamcatcher I made, but I'm pretty sure that I made one in elementary school art class at least once.

What was your inspiration for making and selling dreamcatcher crafts as you do now?

-I was inspired by crochet earrings. I love crochet earrings, but never learned how to crochet. One day it came to me and I decided to buy some yarn and make dreamcatcher inspired earrings with a fun twist to it. I was thoroughly impressed by the design and got so many compliments that I started selling them on Etsy and through my own personal website. Since then, I have sold many pairs of dreamcatchers both online and in person.

What connection do you have to the Native American community?

- I don't really have a direct connection to the Native American community. My great grandmother was half Native American, but I was never really exposed to that part of her culture (atleast not that I know).

Why do you think people appreciate dreamcatchers? What do you feel is appealing about yours?

- I think people appreciate the traditional aspects of the native american dreamcatchers and the cultural symbolism. I think that people find my version of the dreamcatcher appealing because it is an idea revised and infused with fun and trendy materials. Also my dreamcatchers are wearable and can be customized in a wide variety of colors and different beads.

How do you acquire the materials you use?

-I purchase my materials. I occasional re-purpose vintage materials for use in the dreamcatchers also.

What is your process for creating your dreamcatcher crafts? What is your workspace like and how long do the dreamcatchers take to make?

-The process for creating my dreamcatchers is fairly simple. I gather the supplies, yarn, beads and such and begin assembling each. They take between 3 and 4 hours for each pair. I have a small studio in my house for my business.

Live Your Plan A

10744059490?profile=original

Plan A is your reason for being—knowing what you want in work and life and going after it. Plan A leads to passion, fulfillment, excellence, and abundance.

Plan B is being in a situation, going through the motions, knowing you're not happy.

You’re able to pay the bills—you may even be wealthy—but there is still a sense of scarcity. Plan B leads to boredom, restlessness, disillusionment, and mediocrity.

-- Diane L. Samuels

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have you ever had a dream that you longed to pursue—only, instead of going after it, you made sure that you had a back-up plan and put most of your energy, time, and resources into that plan instead of into realizing your dream?

I have a passion for watching biographies on TV. One night while watching yet another story of someone who had achieved his or her dream, I had an “Aha!” moment. It hit me that these dreams hadn’t come true by luck. And these people weren’t overnight successes—there is no such thing! Rather, what they all had in common is that they made their dreams a reality by refusing to get sidetracked by a Plan B. Sometimes that meant living in their car with “a hatchet and a bottle of Jack Daniels to fall asleep at night”, like Mad Money's Jim Cramer. One of the most famous people who went after her Plan A dream after hitting rock bottom is Tina Turner. She knew with all her heart that she was meant to be an entertainer and drew on her reserve of courage to leave her abusive husband one night, beaten and with nothing to her name but the change in her pockets and the clothes on her back. But she went on to rebuild her career and take it further than ever.

They never took their eyes off of their Plan A prize. They refused to let naysayers dissuade them. They refused to allow the hard knocks of life compel them to give up. They stayed the course, sticking to their Plan A, even and especially when they couldn’t see how they were going to get from where they were to where they wanted to be. They just knew that the ONLY possible way of getting there was following their Plan A, no matter what.

Is there something that you’ve always dreamed of doing? Do you have a new dream you want to pursue? Are there any naysayers in your life? When you think about the struggles of people like Tina Turner and Jim Kramer do you believe you can overcome the voices of the naysayers?

Share your thoughts and comments. Let’s start a Plan A community, an ongoing conversation. I invite you to stop by this blog often, to see what others have to say and to read my blog posts about Living Your Plan A.

Speaking It Into Being

10744060660?profile=originalEver had a really good idea and kept it to yourself because you wanted it to be a success before telling anyone? Let's think about that for a second. You have a fabulous idea, but instead of sharing it and your excitement, you decide to go it alone. How much longer did it take for your idea to be implemented because of that, I wonder?

Some people feel they will jinx an idea if other people know about it. Others don’t share because they are afraid their ideas are too grand. Speaking into being for me is by no means magical. It simply means that when you start speaking to others about your plan, they are able to help you execute or by putting you in touch with their networks. Sometimes sharing will also help to make you realize that your idea is in fact doable. I'm not saying that you should announce your brand new business idea to everyone you run into. But if you go the whole distance on your own you will have to do and think of things that, had someone else known about your plans, they might have been able to make suggestions that you might not have considered.

This week I want you to try a little experiment. Mention an idea you have to a couple of people you trust. Then sit back and watch things fall into place. You will get suggestions about how to refine your plan. Your friends will put you in touch with others who can help you be successful. You’ll see that speaking it into being is not just for your more eccentric friend – the most practical of us can successfully tap into it as well.

Unlock Your Motivation

There are many responsibilities women carry and one of them is learning how to stay motivated from day-to-day. We often wonder will our heavy loads ever become lighter, sometimes the load is heavy because what we allow others to put on us and at times it’s the load we put on ourselves. The majority of our heavy loads can be lighten simply by checking your motives. Motives are the hidden secret places of the heart, they frame your words and actions and they are the primary purpose behind what you say and do. Motives arise from within you but are often affected by some outside source like people and messages that fill your daily environment. Motives hide behind envy and jealousy. Envy wants what someone else has, while the root of jealousy is fear that something will be taken and both of these leave most women dissatisfied or in self-comparison with other women.

To unlock the key to your motivation ask God to reveal your motives. Write down in a journal or a notebook what God has shown you in your heart. Repent and ask God to cleanse your mind and heart. Transform your thinking by writing down what you are thankful for and your blessings.

When you line your motives and motivation up with God and His word, you know you are in His perfect will and giving Him first place in your life.
