It's almost Mother's Day, so I wanted to do something sweet for my fellow moms in business by sharing some of my favorite online goodies + one of my best workshop replays to date and a few sistasense tools you can use to improve your profit and productivity online. Goodies first:

I do practically everything online .... work, pay bills, shop and even some of my favorite relaxation activities involve the web world (smile). If you frequently shop online like I do, go gift yourself I $10 Target gift card. I got one of these just by signing up to eBates*, plus I get cash back for making purchases through ebates via my favorite online stores. I got a cash back check for the last airline tickets I bought and I'm awaiting my next check for the dining room furniture I recently purchased on Overstock through ebates.

Click here to sign up and get your $10 gift card.

Every busy mom needs her quiet time. Some of us get it under the dryer at our favorite salon. Some of us recharge with a good book. I personally enjoy curling up with my kindle and watching my favorite old and new shows on hulu*. I just spent the past weekend thoroughly enjoying a korean dramedy on hulu called 'The Flower Boy Next Door.' It's where I can catch up on all the latest tv shows I missed and indulge in all my old favorites like (shhhh... Buffy, Felicity, and yes I'm a Gleek too!)

From me to you, click here and get two free weeks of HuluPlus if you are not already a member. We watch it on our smartTV, via the kindle, iphone, the laptop, everrything! Watching Hulu is definitely one of my favorite ways to unwind.

For my mompreneurs with lots of web business start up questions - a complimentary download to my latest guide - 101 Money and Marketing Questions Answered for Entrepreneurs (download here). I've spent the last few years creating videos, audios and how to tutorials on so many topics that I decide to create this guide to help you find the exact answers that you are looking for on sistasense.

For My Business Moms On a Budget
Redesigning your website might be something you would love to do this year BUT maybe it's not in the budget. So I recently created a 5 Hour Updates package for less than $300 I will give your website a fresh new look and you don't have to break the bank to get it! Click here for details.

I started my online business ventures on a very small budget, so I depended heavily on social networking sites to reach new people and connect with potential clients. I created the BBWO Network as a space to make it easier for my fellow women entrepreneurs and moms to connect. If you haven't already joined the network, you can use the code BBWO4MOM to join for $25 (one time membership fee) - join here.

Just for a little while you can also watch the video replay below from my Power Circle Conference: When Your Passion Becomes A Pain: How to Fall Back in Love With Your Business, Rediscover Your Passion and Tap into Your Hidden Profit Potential.

There are about 10 videos from this years Power Circle Conference. Use the code 274MOM (there are only a few of these left) and watch replays here or click here to join the online Power Circle for $7 to get monthly tutorials, video, audio and downloadable sistasense sessions.

The affiliate links included in this post are from some of my favorite online places! If you try them be sure to let me know what you think.*

I’ve created a list of social networking tips you can use to promote yourself and your business on BBWO. The key to this list and any strategies is not doing one thing once and then giving up if you see minimal results. You have to create a game plan. You have to carve out time either daily or weekly that you commit to networking online and/or promoting your business on social networks. And the BIG thing is you have to always work on getting people back to your space by  making recommendations on a product or service that would be helpful to them; essentially sharing something on your site that you would like them to try/ sign up to.

  • Browse the member directory – find people who are local to you or share your interests. For as long as BBWO has been online we’ve had hundreds of members forge new partnerships, find new clients and make strong connections by simply finding like minded individuals and taking the time to have genuine conversations with them.

  • People can find your profile via our member directory and even through direct searches on Google. Make sure to complete your profile page with information about you and your business. You can add links to your site, your RSS Blog Feed and product photos.

  • Use the main site search box or browse the forum and/or groups to look for people asking questions about your area of business and answer them. Let people know you are available to help.

  • Post informational articles via your BBWO Blog and/or in the forum.

  • Start a group around your business – this is a great way to build a listing of people you can communicate with, help and sell your offerings to.

  • Browse the Advertising options on BBWO to see how you can get your banner ads featured or send out an email eBlast to our Community.

  •  Become a BBWO Expert – share weekly advice and at the same time promote yourself as an expert with services our members and readers would be interested in.

  • Add your videos to our video page for additional views and exposure.

  • Follow us on Facebook and Twitter – respond to tweets, join our twitter parties and comment back on the Facebook page to reach others and gain exposure.

How She Does IT?
Use the comment box below to expand on any of these recommendations or share one way you have been able to effectively promote your business on BBWO or other social networks.

Hello everyone,

Question? How are you?

Looks like a pretty innocent question, right? We hear it everyday throughout our day from family, friends, and strangers. We hear it so often we seem to slip into autopilot when we answer this question.

What is your normal response? I'm:

  • Fine
  • Ok
  • Sad
  • Lousy
  • Angry
  • Scared
  • Sick

And the list goes on. Too often the responses are energy-sapping like the ones I listed above. How often have you heard responses like these. How does it usually make you feel? Bummed out, right?

Think about it. If you were asking the question in good faith, did you really want to hear an awful answer. We all can be compassionate, but sometimes we would like to hear some good news.

It can become so overwhelming at times and there are probably some people you no longer ask how they are doing. Because, you know they will not have anything good to say. So, you avoid them or limit your conversation with them; which is perfectly fine. You have the right to protect your good feelings and peace of mind.

But, what if you are the one who provides the "downer" answers to this little question? We all have days when we don't feel our best; this is normal, but what if you consciously decided to answer differently. Let's do this again:

"How are you?"

Now, instead of using the standard response to this little question; what if you responded by saying I Am:

  • Amazing (I got up this morning and realized I live an amazing life.)
  • Excited
  • Delightful (I am great. My life is delightful and full of joy.)
  • Fabulous
  • Fantastic
  • Magnificent
  • Wonderful

Can you see the direction I am heading with these responses? Say them with me:

  • "I Am Amazing."
  • "I Am Excited."
  • "I Am Fabulous"
  • "I Am Fantastic."
  • "I Am Magnificent."
  • "I Am Wonderful."

How do you feel? Better, right?

Yes, I'll admit it may feel a little awkward at first, but do this on a regular basis and I guarantee you will feel better and your life will begin to shift in a more positive direction. Gradually, you will begin to notice more happy and interesting things taking place around you and you are ready to receive this newfound joy. It can be really exciting and fun.

Will this simple exercise change your life overnight? It might, because, how you talk about your life and life experiences does show up in the outward appearance of your life. But, if not overnight; at least you will be on track to making some pleasant changes in your life and how it shows up around you.

So, instead of talking about lack, misery, sickness, etc. Talk about the things you are happy about or grateful for. Let the universe know you are in a good place by talking about what makes you feel good and guess what? You will be provided with more reasons to enjoy your life and the world around you.

How can I be so sure? Because, I am living and loving proof this works. When I:

  • Was going through a major health crisis (Fibromyalgia) that I left me in constant chronic pain. I chose to speak positive and healing words. I am completely healed and naturally pain-free. (I'll share how on a different day.)
  • Walked away from a 10 years relationship with a man I loved dearly. I chose to speak words of gratitude for the time spent and lessons learned from an interesting and wise "teacher". (New love has entered my life.)
  • Moved away from family and friends to begin a new chapter in my life in a new state where I knew no one. I chose to speak words of excitement and joy for the opportunities I knew where coming my way. (I truly wake up thrilled about each new day.)

I can list many more life events that I have used the power of words to create incredible experiences, but I mainly shared my personal experiences with you because:

I hope you allow yourself to utilize the power of your words to positively reconstruct your life too.

So, let's start simple. Tell me, "How are you?"

If you are ready to live and love your life in the most joyous and spectacular way click on my website link www.undeniablyirresistible.com  and schedule your Complimentary Irresistible Solutions Session. It is a fun and pleasant way to receive a tip or two that may delightfully change your life.

Have an amazing day and let's talk soon,

Cyndi Harris, HP

Do you know how to create content to market and support your signature products and services?

You probably have some idea of what to do. Tweet it, pin it, post it…may be among some of your options. But, what kind of combination of content is best to promote your offerings?

If you’re still reading this. you probably know what you want to create. But, perhaps you’re not quite sure where to begin.

Educate to Sell Your Signature Products and Services

First let me make one thing clear. Educating to sell does not mean trying to win over people who are not aware or have a desire to solve their pain? I don’t care how much or even how good your content is, these people will never buy or engage. So it is a waste of your time and resources.

Instead, you want to educate people who have the desire and ability to purchase your solutions. Content Marketing is about soft selling by making your customers smarter than they were when they found you. So, your job is to create content that guides them from awareness to the sale, without being all “salesy”.

Once you create your product or launch your service, you want to be sure that you support it with client attracting content that reaches all over the web and sustain sales beyond the launch.

Here are 5 of my favorite ways to create marketing content to support your signature products and services:

10744091099?profile=original

#1) Create content that relates to each of your core offers

Content marketing is all about creating purposeful content. Creating content that educates your audience on topics related to your core offers will meet his requirement. Supporting content can include, articles, social media content, info-graphics, emails and more…

Supporting content can also include internal items like step by step training materials, course content, exercises, scripts, checklists, templates, and accompanying articles that highlight the training programs.

#2) Create several types of author resource boxes to get people to click-through your offers

If you want to create more opportunities for your audience to interact with you, create an author resource box. An “author resource box” also known as byline or mini bios are short summaries located at the bottom of blog posts or articles.

You can use your byline and embed links in articles your distribute around the web. This will help you to increase the flow of “qualified” traffic back to your site.

#3) Create social media postings that promote your articles

Most entrepreneurs make the mistake of not promoting their content. Great articles need help getting seen. I  like creating the posts as I create my blog articles. It’s just a part of the process, so it helps to ensure it gets done. Plugins like Tweet Old Posts are one way to automate this process and make life easier for you.

#4) Create sample promo content to make it easy for JV and affiliates to promote your offers to their networks

Pre-creating content such as ads, banners, emails, blog posts, social media content and more  helps make you more sharable. The easier you make referring and promoting your products and services, the more successful your affiliate marketing and joint venture programs will be.

#5) Create “Welcome Content” to support and guide your customer’s experience after the sale

We often hear about all the “external” content we need to create like blogs and social media content, etc. But, what we often overlook is creating content to WOW our customers after the sale. What type of content can you provide your customers to make your solutions easy to implement?

Exercises, handouts, scripts and templates are some common examples. Some other examples include, learning guides, mind maps, emails nurturing campaigns and newsletters. The more you can wow them, the more they’ll come back again and again and bring friends.

There of course are other powerful forms of content to promote your core training programs products and services. I will explore them in this article series so stay plugged in.

What types of content do you create and publish to support your signature products and services? Share your answers with me below…

Very few people I know use business process mapping, but it can be a really good way to figure out the difference between what is happening now vs. what you want to have happen with certain systems running in your business.

For example, you might have this really great product out in your online store, but you somehow keep losing customers -- like 85% of the time -- after they click the "add to cart" button.  What happened?

Or in another instance, you may have tons of referrals and they come to you willing and ready to invest, but you only convert 10% of them into clients.  Where's the breakdown? How do you know?  And what resources do you need in order to increase that number?

Many times, knowing the solution that works the best for you does not just pop up in a magical light bulb over your head.  Instead, it requires knowing what is taking place, step-by-step, so you can make improvements for the better.

Business Analysts (also known as BA's) tend to take advantage of process mapping because it suits them perfectly since they tend to be practical thinkers, always looking for the "why" behind what's going on.  They also get really passionate about information.  I like how this article from TDWI says, "They love to wallow in it, get it all over themselves, see what they can do with it, and see it change state and morph and eventually crystallize into facets of meaning."

Basically, these guys can get really geeky about improving a system, or set of activities so you get the most optimal results.

How do I know?  Because I actually have an analyst background in my "other" career.  Yeah, that's how I got to be such a systems geek.

Now here's what is cool about that...

There are a lot of creative thinkers marketing how great it is to use your creativity to ...well...create things. Products, new service offerings, you name it. I love it and I think that's great.  If you want to promote creative thinking, mind-mapping is a very effective tool. But that's a whole different type of method than what I'm talking about.

The thing is, not everyone is naturally given to creatively wild or illustrative thinking.  Some of  us tend to be a bit more structured and systematic in our thinking.  Having those type of people in your business network can be tremendously helpful because we help with the execution of the actual sale of that wonderful new product, or we help you fix problems with the way you're handling questions from prospective buyers so they feel better about trusting you and affirmed when they buy.

This is the beautiful place where process mapping comes in.

In my upcoming webinar, 10 Ways To Design Better Systems For Your Business, I share more about process mapping and what it can do. Plus I'll be talking about more ways to improve what you're doing in your business, so you can be more efficient which => (ta-dah) more profitable.

Business process mapping may just be the answer to your problems. Oh, and if you search the internet now for some process mapping resources, it will probably look a lot more boring than how I do it.

I've made the webinar publicly available.  No registration required.
