God knows what you need

today I was feeling down. I have a brother in prison, and everytime he writes me i get upset, he just happens to be closer to me than the rest of my brothers. I stopped my car and broke down and cried out to God about his situation and went on about my day. when i got home i opened my email and there was a post on my site and on the site there was a utube.as i listened to the tape i began to be grateful for my brother and his situation and that I still have him and he alive. I also realized that God knows more about what is best for him than I do and when gets ready a change will happen for him. But more important i realize that i am blessed and have a lot to be grateful for and that no matter what things look like it is not really what it seems.God is in control and it will turn out alright for me and for him.thank you father for reminding me of who I am and whose I am.be blessedmechelle

I apologize.I apologize for all that you had to go through.So much pain and various disappointments.You heart was broken, so many places and into pieces.I apologize.I apologize for your low self-esteem and not knowing your self worth.How you tolerated many of the things that was beneath the Godly standard.Wanting to be accepted and comprising your Identity.I apologize.I apologize for that man taking your body, mind and soul.Who raped and stripped you of what God gave to you as a treasure for the man he destined for you to discover. You listened to the lies of him proclaiming to be your lover.I apologize.I apologize for you having to be alone having to raise your children and build a home.Scraping for pennies to make ends meet which sometimes don’t make it.The lights, phone, water, gas bill were due, only to be disconnected.I apologize.I apologize for you desiring to better yourself in education and when the time comesYou can’t walk those halls and go the class room.Things come up to hinder, stop and bring your dreams to a halt.Mama, daddy, grandma, child, girlfriend get ill and sick,Only to give you an ultimatum and your career you dare to pick.I apologize.I apologize for the sisters that are so jealous and hate on you for what you do have.Something you might have saved or worked real hard to get, but they do not see the story behind what seems to be glory and kill you for that,I apologize.Now, Sister you listen and listen real good, because I’m getting ready to speak into you like another true sister should. These are the things that I do not apologize for..I DO NOT apologize for the pain you have suffered because in that pain God has birthed with it your purpose. Purpose that you can encourage another sister and give hope to the hopeless and that Happy Days are here again.I DO NOT apologize for the low self esteem because you can now relate and see another sister that has her head hanging low and tell her that she is beautiful and made in the image of her God, the Creator. She truly is built and wonderfully made.I DO NOT apologize for that man taking away your dignity and pride because through it you willed to live and survive. Abuse didn’t and cannot destroy that which is strong. God made you and you are truly a Victor and not a victim. God has turned your ashes into beauty and erased the shame and clothed you in righteousness.I DO NOT apologize for you being a single parent, being the Mama and Daddy.Paying the bills, providing food and shelter and you seem to think you did it on your own? No Sweetheart, you was sustained by the Heavenly Father; He supplied your every need and gave you your hearts desire.I DO NOT apologize for your career being put on the back burner for your loved ones.Mama and Daddy gave you life, Your baby depend on you and your girlfriend don’t have anybody else, when you are there for somebody else, that is when God will be there for you and make all your dreams and hearts desire come true.I DO NOT apologize for the sisters that hated on you because of what you work so hard to get. It was the jealousy and envy that provided the platform for God to bless you. Don't Be an Old Fool!

I grew up in a single-parent household and I watched my mother struggle tremendously trying to raise my brothers and me on limited resources. Things that other people took for granted like having clean clothes on a daily basis, weren’t always a luxury for me. As a result, the spirit of lack took hold of me and even as I became an adult, that spirit manifested in my life to the point where I was living hand-to-mouth on a regular basis. To look at me on the outside, you wouldn’t have known because I had become a master at disguising my struggle. When I was on my own and earning an income I got into credit trouble where I ended up with two car repo’s and credit so bad that I probably couldn’t even finance a pack of bubble gum!Now, many years older and wiser, my credit is restored and I can probably buy just about anything I want on credit. Through my many mishaps in life I have developed a motto of, “No experience is a wasted experience”. What I mean by that is that when setbacks occur in life, whether they were based in your own ignorance or not, there is always an opportunity for growth. What having jacked-up credit has taught me, is to never intentionally get myself in a situation where I can’t rent a car if I need to, open a checking account if I need to or get the lights turned on with the power company without a having to fork out a huge deposit. I took the obstacle of having poor credit, and the consequences it brought with it, to learn and grow from it.I’m sure there are situations that have occurred in your life that you thought you would never recover from. But you did! And although you may have been down, you don’t have to be out. View the apparent set-back as a set-up; a set-up to start a new business, a set-up for healthy, loving relationships, or a set-up for that dream house. Turn those past experiences into gold mines of wisdom-gained and don’t let it go to waste. Getting older doesn’t necessary equate to getting wiser. There’s a saying that says, “There’s no fool like an OLD fool!” Capitalize on the things that you’ve learned and, please, don’t be an old fool!

Individuals have varying requirements a company must meet before they decide to become a customer. In order for companies to be successful, they must be able to identify these requirements (conducting market research enables companies to get these answers). Businesses are often chided for not listening to their customers. Of course it is the organization’s responsibility to start a dialogue with their target market, but as a consumer are you doing your part to keep the conversation alive?More than ever companies are trying their best to connect with consumers and are sometimes greeted with deafening silence. For example, have you ever been asked to complete a customer satisfaction survey? I am sure the answer to this question is a resounding, “Yes!” Now how many times have you answered a survey? Despite the number of pleas, I am sure many people have not taken the time to answer these surveys (yes, as much as I hate to admit it I am guilty of this too). One of the most quoted reasons for not answering these surveys is, “Sorry, I don’t have time.”Sure we all have time constraints, but the only way companies can improve their services or fulfill needs that are not currently being met within the industry is if you share your thoughts with them. It is not fair for consumers to complain about receiving bad service or inferior products and then neglect to fill out a survey or turn down the opportunity to participate in a focus group. Now more than ever, due to the increase in competition, companies are trying to entice individuals into talking with them by compensating them with money, prizes, etc.The mere fact that companies are starting to “invade” social networking sites demonstrates that they are trying to talk to consumers on a platform that is convenient for them. I realize that there are some companies that still have a lot to learn when it comes to the social media arena, but I applaud them in their efforts to do so. They are finally acknowledging the fact that consumers are more apt to purchase products from those who they trust and making a concerted effort build a relationship. Companies are increasingly becoming more attentive and seeking ways to engage consumers into speaking with them–so what are you going to say?
