There are many, however, that issue press releases on a regular basis. What they don't understand is that press releases can be part of your SEO efforts, and can be used to gain presence in the editorial results of the search engines, even if it's not a direct presence for your actual domain.Press releases, in the traditional sense, were meant to reach out to journalists with the hope that a publication would pick it up, call someone within your company for comment, and gain a presence within the traditional media community (television, radio and/or print) to enhance your image and further your business.Press releases in the digital media environment can do all of that, plus a bunch of other cool stuff. Even though many continue to issue press releases, few have made adjustments to their efforts to include press release optimization for the digital community and to further their interactive marketing -- and specifically SEO -- efforts.By paying attention to a few important details, it's possible to craft an interactive press release and create synergies within your other marketing efforts:Step 1: Creation of the Press ReleaseWrite for the editors you're trying to reach traditionally, as well as the search engines.Headline: You must have a catchy headline or else no one -- aside from the search engines -- will read it. If you want the most from your efforts, include at least one relevant keyword phrase that people search for.Copy: Mention the keywords of focus for the release within the first paragraph.Linking: Many press release distribution companies allow you to include keyword-rich anchor text in links. These links should be directed to specific URLs within your Web site that, ideally, have a title tag, header tag, and content that supports this same keyword phrase. There's great SEO value in having links on other Web sites linking to you, using keywords that you'd like to rank for within the anchor text of the link.Tags: Many distribution partners allow you to tag your press release with keywords that you'd like to have this release associated with.Step 2: DistributionMany companies offer varying levels of service for distribution. I'll outline a few:Business Wire. The leading source for press releases, photos, multimedia, and regulatory filings from companies and groups throughout the world, and suited for businesses of all sizes. Pricing for their optimized releases is currently $225 per release with a Business Wire circuit, and $295 if ordered standalone (a free membership to Business Wire is required). These releases via EON (Enhanced Online News) offer the use of anchor text and links, trackbacks, Web site preview, and customization of the permanent URL. This is also great for targeting long tail terms.PRNewswire. More than just an online network, they'll distribute through the traditional and interactive outlets. Hyperlinks are often removed from online releases, although the releases can rank well in the organic results. The newsline you select and the length of your news release determine the distribution cost. Each newsline covers a specific geographical area: local, regional, national, and international. Their optimized releases are included in US1 releases for $680 or can be added to any other release for an additional $255. Membership is $195 annually and releases start at $180 depending on the location you're targeting.PRWeb. Great for small to medium-sized businesses, PRWeb is a leader in online news and press release distribution:Standard Visibility: Basic submission, inclusion on Google and Yahoo News, two-day distribution, $80.Social Media: Basic plus social bookmarking links for increased Web 2.0 distribution (tagging, etc), $140.SEO Visibility: Allows for controlling anchor text of links in the release, next day distribution, and advancedSEO statistics (keywords referring traffic to the release, etc.), $200.Media Visibility: Guaranteed distribution through the AP and top U.S. newspapers, addition of embedded video, $360.PRLeap. This newest and least expensive outlet also has the fewest press releases being submitted on a daily basis, and is great for smaller businesses. My company has successfully distributed press releases through this channel into Google's universal results.Basic: Google and Ask News inclusion, text links, inclusion in PRLeap RSS feed (600 word limit), $49.Plus: Basic plus AP and UPI distribution, social media tagging/bookmarking, allows for one media attachment, and next day service (1,000 word limit), $99.Premium: Plus benefits and allows for five media attachments (2,000 word limit), $149.Step 3: Publish Press Releases on Your own Web SiteWhile you're going through the trouble of creating and submitting all of these press releases for distribution, don't forget to publish all of your press releases on your own Web site to aid your SEO efforts. The search engines love sites that add keyword-rich pages on a regular basis. The more pages, the better. And, if you can organize your press releases by category (similar to how you might organize blog posts), all the better.One other note: if your press releases are posted correctly (i.e., a unique title tag, header, and other content), this will avoid duplicate content issues with the release that exists on the distribution partner's Web site. There can be issues with other syndicators of this content (they may not go through the trouble of creating unique title tags, headers, etc.), but the good ones will rank.

As I type these words, there are 1,690 signatures opposing the law at this blog. By the time I upload this post, there will be more. I'm sure of it.

I am excited to be working with you on this project. You all bring so much innovation and passion to what you do. How fulfilling, both professionally and personally, it is to work with you to create a world where small and woman-owned businesses, perhaps those that will one day be owned by our children and young relatives, can thrive. I am confident that our combined efforts will be fruitful, and that the cosmetics industry as a whole will be strengthened by this investment of our time.

Our aim is to work with Congress to enact legislation that adequately funds the FDA and protects consumers, while at the same time:

(1) preserving a level playing field for all cosmetics companies;
(2) encouraging and empowering all cosmetics companies to operate legally and safely without unduly burdensome regulations, fees and paperwork;
(3) supporting a vibrant, robust and competitive market place where companies offer consumers a vast array of safe choices; and
(4) refraining from implementing barriers to entry that force thousands of companies to close down and discourage thousands of others from ever entering the market place.

Everything we say on Tuesday will support this message. We will take each one of you, your families and your customers with us.

Ok, so my 20 year old son decided he would fix dinner tonight--Spaghetti, Salad and Texas Toast. I know most of you are wondering how I can have a 20 year-old son, when I'm only 25, but that's another story for a different day....Anyhow, I am a Weight Management Consultant. Well, that's one of the hats I wear. I am happy to say that I've helped many reach and maintain their optimum weight through Transitions, my company's weight management system.I decided that this year would be the year for me to lose those last terrible 10.So, our dinner tonight wasn't too bad: spaghetti sauce, minimal carbs; angel hair pasta, cooked al dente, medium carb content; salad--no carbs; Texas Toast--CARB COUNT OF THE CHARTS!!!!Have any of you ever had Texas Toast? I don’t know about you, but the continued increase in the cost of gas that we are paying at the gas pump is kicking me where it hurts! What’s that you say? I say in my wallet and I’m sure you may be feeling this same pain as well. I’m sure you’re wondering like me, how high will the gas prices go? Some predict that the fuel prices may escalate to $10.00 or more a gallon at the pump. I don’t know about you, at that point or even possibly sooner the price hitting that level, there is really no point in going to work! You would be probably working to pay for gas to go into your vehicle and virtually nothing else. Most people are average folks just trying to make it in our economy and it would be difficult for them to manage paying high gas prices that continue to go up! As a matter of fact, it may already be difficult for some people. We are already at record level gas prices at the present time. In some places the price for regular unleaded gas is already over $4.00 per gallon and steadily approaching $5.00 per gallon as of this writing. It appears that the future outlook on the gas prices coming down are bleak and the stress on our wallets will continue.Click Here To Read More

Nah, not the type you need to see the doctor about. I mean that great, burn inside your chest feeling you get when the idea comes into your head and you know it's THE ONE! It's not a feeling that you can look for or find, it just comes to you. Sometimes at the weirdest times, in the strangest of places.I've known that I wasn't doing all I could and was in the process of restructuring my business end, but not sure exactly how. Well today, it hit me - and HARD, while cleaning no less. Picture that. I had just moved the storage and filing cabinets from under my desk and was pulling out all the crap that had fallen behind them in the last... 18 months. Nah unh, don't say nuffin! Somewhere within the Go Gettas site, there is a post by Thedy B about clearing out the clutter. I'm here to attest that not only does it work in finding stuff (like my PayPal debit card that grew legs yesterday, but found it after throwing some things away), it can allow those lightbulb moments to happen.I have taken to writing down whatever pops into my head in regards to this idea, because although it's what I needed the timing isn't exactly right. I have some obligations to take care of before I can start cultivating. Tying up loose ends also helps, by the way.I learned something on Thursday at a seminar, well more like had recent revelations confirmed... NEVER get comfortable, NEVER stop learning and NEVER take on anything that doesn't make you beam or want to shout it from the mountain top. When that fire burns inside you, it transmits and translates. There is a lot to be said for following your passion. Enthusiasm is contagious. Seriously. As you read this, can you feel my energy? The type that tells you I want to just SCREAM with JOY? lolIt's also probably why it took me all of 2 minutes and 7 backspace corrections to finish this particular blog post. Catching up on things

Hello to all! I know I’ve been MIA for a while – I’ve managed to peek in and read a bit, so I am caught up on what’s going on. I’ve been in the process of switching my website from its initial inception at neosoul.essentials.com to www.sheaproducts.info . I plan on sitting down at the computer with my notebook catching up on my BBC obligations.That being said more change! I finally figured out Zen Cart, so for those who are currently struggling with this open source shopping cart/store design, there is light at the end of the tunnel. (Notice I did not write that I could offer help. I’m still learning, and I don’t want to mess anyone else up!!! LOL) I like the look of my new website – it looks clean and neat. Plus I love my new photo istockphoto. Of course, you’ll have to visit the website at www.sheaproducts.info to see what I’m writing about. I’ve also included a store blog where one can, surprise, also purchase products.
