No more Wire Bras

Upon recent discoveries, I have found out that wire bras are causing women to have cysts in their breast. I had been having pain in my breast for the past couple of months and when I went to the doctor, he advised me to stop wearing wire bras because after so long they cause cysts in the breast. With his advise and consultation I discovered a company that has a reshaping line of garments that will help you lose 2 to 3 dress sizes without diet, pills or surgery. Back in July, I tried on the flagship product the Body Magic, and I went from a size 12 in pants to a size 8. It was unbelievable but I saw it and felt it for myself. After knowing what this product can do for women and men, I decided to join the business and become an Independent Distributor for the company. After learning all of the products and what they can and will do for you, I invested my time into getting more information about the Angel Bra, which is a product that compliments the Body Magic.Ladies, did you know that when we wear a regular bra, we carry 75% of our breast on our shoulders? Some of us have a lot to carry around and for those of us who do, I know you begin to feel the pressure of carrying that weight in your back as well as on your shoulders. Our product the Angel Bra was made by an Orthopedic Surgeon and it was designed to allow us to feel comfortable and carry only 25% of our breast on our shoulders. This bra has the ablility to Maximize, Minimize or Equalize the breast. The way this bra was designed, it can be used for women who are breast feeding and especially for women who are breast cancer survivors, who have breast prostheses, if they do not fully equalize your breast, the Angel Bra will compliment them well once you have invested in this bra.To get more information on all of our products, visit my website or give me a call and I will be glad to assist you in any questions you may have.Sincerely,LaToya ClarkArdyss InternationalWebsite: http://www.latoyaclark.comToll Free: 866.395.8275Cell: 901.361.1817Email: latoya@bodymagicmemphis.com

Tax Whammies

#1 - IS IT A JUST A COINCIDENCE?October was the final filing date for 2008 taxes.October is National Disability Month.Coincidence? Makes a person wonder.Just my dry humor, Sorry#2 - SALES TAX DEDUCTION FOR NEW CAR BUYERS WILL BE EXTENDEDUNTIL YEAR-ENDPurchases of a new (not used) car, light truck, motor home or motorcycle could qualify you for a special deduction for the state and local sales and excise taxes on 2009 tax returns. The deduction is only for purchases made by the last day of 2009, and is limited to the taxed paid on up to $49,500 of the purchase price of the new vehicle. You can get this deduction whether or not you itemize your deductions. If you do not itemize, you add this additional amount to the Standard Deduction on your 2009 tax return.#3 - WARNING: IRS PUTS A 'TRIPLE-WHAMMY'ON HOME-BUSINESS OWNERSDriven by Washington's massive spending spree, auditors are under more pressure than ever to "bring home the bacon" - and it's YOUR bacon! In the coming year, if you are a Schedule C filer (sole proprietor or LLC), your chances of being audited just doubled. That’s whammy #1.Whammy #2 -- And if they do audit you, they will try to prove that you are not running a "business with the intent to make a profit" (which would kill ALL of your home business tax deductions). The third "whammy" is the careful look they will take at the deduction you took -- or didn’t take -- for business use of your home (i.e., home office). The taxpayer's problem will NOT come from CLAIMING this deduction, but from NOT claiming it.You see, auditors are being taught that every legitimate business must be "based" somewhere. If you claim to be a home-BASED business (HBB), but you don’t claim a home office, where is it BASED?

Using Auto-Responders to Boost Your Business

This work at home momma was VERY happy when a close friend introduced me to the wonderful world of 'auto-responders', which are basically emails that you can send out automatically to your list based on a time-frame that you define. For example you can automatically send out emails to your list once a week. Auto-responders are easy to setup and very useful. They help to free-up your time and keep your follow-up consistent. Here are a few auto-responder tips that I've included in my eBook, "How to Really Make Money Networking Marketing and Selling MLM Products Online". I created this particular ebook for women in network marketing ventures like Avon and Body Magic, who are trying to find new ways to market their products online. 1. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “you can catch more flies with honey.” With respect to your business, you can catch more return business with interesting content! Make sure that your email updates are NOT simply filled with links to products you want people to buy. Keep your content fresh and appealing by adding value to the lives of your customers. a. Share a question you received from a customer and highlight your response. For example if you sell Avon and someone asked you about a great product to soften dry skin, you can turn that recommendation into a product review. Again, don’t simply try to sell the product, show people how your products can add value to their lives. b. Create Tip Lists that make their shopping and decision making process easier. For example: “The Top Beauty Products Under $30.” Or “The Top 5 Best Gifts for Dad”. c. If you receive a great review from a customer (and you should be asking for feedback all the time), you can repost customer reviews in your newsletter. For example: here is a great subject line … “Find out what Sherry had to say about …” Out of curiosity alone many of your readers will open your email just to find out who Sherry is and what’s she talking about. 2. It’s also important that you get into the habit of giving your readers something to do. Where most internet entrepreneurs go wrong is ... We all have attended a conference or two and always leave wondering did we get out of the conference what we should have? When preparing to attend a conference, you get all your material ready in order to take notes and capture the most important points, but how can you really get the most out of a conference? This question was asked and answered on Young entreprenuer (www.youngentreprenuer.com). Matt Toren wrote a very good article. When preparing to attend a conference don't forget to think about interacting with fellow conference goers this includes but not limited to attending the breakfast sessions and talking with those at your table. This will give you the opportunity to meet some new people and network while eating. Be proactive in your approach to the conference. Have professional business cards to pass out to your new contacts, plan to attend some breakout sessions, some after parties (not only to have a good time, but also to continue networking).Once you return home after your conference, make notes about the conference, the people you met, and send follow up emails to those that you connected with. Attending conferences can be beneficial twofold, it allows you to network with potential employers or business assoicates and it allows you to learn the latest business best practices. So attend conferences with the mindset that you will benefit someone and someone will benefit you!Enjoy your conference.Visit http://www.youngentrepreneur.com/blog/2009/10/how-to-get-the-most-out-of-a-conference/ to read the full article. Then visit http://fromawriterspovbusinessnetwork.ning.com to sign up for the business conference that will be held November 9, 11, and 12, 2009.

Challenge #6: Reaping the Rewards of Letting Go

I'm 52 days into my 100 Day Challenge! One of the things that I realized these past few weeks is that sometimes you have to let go of a few things to get where you want to be. Now look ... I don't tell you anything that I don't tell myself. I'm a sista with 15+ websites so if ANYBODY knows how HARD it is to let go ... it's me! BUT sometimes you just gotta clean up shop. I've gone back and tweaked a few projects like my Adsense and my info website for black mothers, which reminded me that half-assed work (excuse my language) gets you half-assed results (lol). Taking the time to perfect/improve several of my web projects has really worked wonders for me! I'm very close to my goal of making $1000 per month just in adsense, ONLY because I finally decided to drop a few things and focus on the projects that are really working for me (read my social media marketing post for details on that one). If you are hitting your head against a wall trying to breath life into a dead project, let it go. You probably noticed that I've temporarily taken done several of my websites... right now I am in clarity and consolidation mode. Sometimes I have so MUCH information to share, folks don't know where to start (lol) so I'm gonna take some time to clean up shop! And you should be doing the same thing too... now speaking of time ... I've not been online as much lately because I'm sticking July declaration to put more of the MOM back into my work at home mom status. (lol) Slowing down and really taking this challenge as not just a time to increase profits but to improve self as helped me relax more and actually make more too! I've spent most of this week recovering from the sniffles and watching cartoons with my son, with very little work in between. And yet somehow I'm still busy. I'm packing tonight because I've been invited to Walt Disney's African American Mom Bloggers Conference this weekend!! I'm really excited about this one .... plus this week I was contaced by a rep from the Rachel Ray show and I'm eagerly awaiting the publication of interviews I did for an Essence Reporter and one from Black Enterprise! Isn't that crazy! There are a lot of new big things in the mix for me and I was absolutely estatic when I realized the Women of Color Coaching Program I co-founded with Richelle Shaw is now a year old! The Black Moms Club just reached 3,000 members and Black Business Women Online is quickly approaching 7,000 member! I say all this to say even though I've had my share of BAD days (as we all do) and I'm taking more mini-mommy breaks life goes on and my busy little business is still alive in kicking. A close friend reminded me this past weekend that "No one can change the destiny God has already written for you". With those words everything clicked in my head. No matter what others say or do or how good or bad a day goes my destinty AND your destiny is already written! So...
  1. Trim the Fat of unessecary projects and expenses
  2. Tweak and perfect the profitable projects that bring in money so they can bring in MORE Money
  3. Stop getting lost trying to find the next big thing
  4. Sitting in front of the computer won't increase sales any faster. Take a break and you just might make a breakthrough
  5. Remember to always keep swimming (as Dory Says in finding Nemo)
Though I need to lose a few pounds around the mid-section (lol), I do feel lighter letting things go and moving forward. Right now I'm doing this CLOSEOUT Marketing BONUS for 2009 giving over $200 worth of my eBooks AWAY for $27 bucks ( click here for details ) which is crazy and I freak out everytime I see someone purchase BUT I remind myself that closeouts help me help OTHERS who've been itching to get my stuff but couldn't afford it. AND closeouts help me virtually clean out my closest and get ready for whatever is in store for me in 2010. I hope you can lighten your load too! - LaShanda If you like my Marketing Style, definitely grab one of those 15+ ebook bundles before my 2009 Closeout offer is gone. Click here now. One Night with You by Francis RayNew York Times bestselling author Francis Ray continues her captivating series about the Grayson family and their circle of friends with One Night With You, as two people with no plans for romance find themselves blindsided by desire…Latest Release: One Night with YouNovember 03, 2009Series: Grayson Friends SeriesISBN-13: 9780312365066ISBN-10: 0312365063When you first started writing, did you think you would ever write as many books as you have and have such a loyal following? Did you know this would become a "business venture" for you?Francis: I had no idea I would write this many book or have such a loyal following when I started writing. I simply keep trying to write the best book possible, and was blessed to find an editor who kept buying my books. Yes, I always knew that you had to take the business side of writing seriously to stay in this industry for years. It requires a great busines head for promotions and even more professionalism to handle the contracts. What has been the best and the worst experience you've had on your literary journey?Francis: The best is after I sold my first book, I've never had a book that was rejected. The worst was walking away from one publisher and unsure if I'd find another publishing house that wanted my books. Scary. Scary. How long does it take you to write a novel?Francis: The time frame differs. I wrote ONE NIGHT WITH YOU, my November 03, release in 3 months. IT HAD TO BE YOU, Book #4 in the Grayson Friends series, and the last book I wrote took six weeks.Have you always wanted to be a writer?Francis: No, the writing bug didn't hit me until I read SHANNA by Katherine Woodewiss. By her third book I knew I wanted to write similar books. The difference was I wanted people of color to take center stage. How did you get started writing?Francis: I joined my local chapter of Romance Writers of America, North Texas Romance Writers of America. I'm proud to say I won the first service award, The Yellow Rose. The friendships and mentors were invaluable. I can honestly say that without them I would not be published now.Do you remember the very first story you ever wrote? What age were you when you wrote it? Was it romance even then?Francis: I had no idea I wanted to write until Woodewiss' third book. The first story I wrote was Wife For Hire for Black Romance. I was an adult.Since romance novels have a pretty set formula that they follow, how difficult do you find it to continue to write stories that will make loyal romance readers overlook that aspect of the book? Francis: The only set formula I can see is that hero and heroine are at odds, but by the end of the story they're in love and the writer has tested that love so the reader knows that whatever happens in their lives their love is strong enough to endure. I'd say the possibilities are endless. My plotting skills, not the parameters, is the challenge I face.Several romance authors have ventured into writing in other genres such as mystery, etc. Have you ever considered taking that step also?Francis: I wanted to write Christian fiction and was blessed to have been given that opportunity when Harlequin publishes, HOW SWEET THE SOUND. I've thought of writing young adult but I haven't gotten past three pages. What is your favorite part of the writing process?Francis: The actual writing is probably my favorite part. Starting a new book is always scary. I plot slow. And despite my best intention, I always have loads of research on my character's profession, the setting, even the cars they drive..What is the hardest part of writing for you?Francis: I guess the hardest part of writing is plotting. If I can't see it, no matter how wonderful the story might be, I can't write it.What challenges have you faced in your literary journey? How did you overcome them?Francis: Probably the biggest challenge in my literary journey was finding a publisher who wanted to publish African-American romances. Then, when I did find a publisher, distribution was spotty at best. If the book did make it to an outlet, the challenge was getting readers not to think the book was badly written because it was written by an African-American. I overcame the challenge by continuing to write and believing that I had a story to tell that people wanted to read. What are your best and worst experiences as a writer?Francis: The best is after I sold my first book I have never had a book that was rejected. The worst was walking away from one publisher and unsure if I'd find another publishing house that wanted my books. Scary. Scary. What is the one thing that has surprised you the most during your writing career?Francis: That people think all published authors are wealthy. What authors influence your work?Francis: Katherine Woodewiss, Elizabeth Lowell, Amanda Quick, and Nora Roberts. What are you currently working on?Francis: I'm working on BECAUSE OF YOU, Book # 6 in the Grayson Friends series. How may we contact you online? Insight into Failure - Could This Be You?

In the past, I have joined many MLMs and have failed! Yes! I failed! I spent more money than I made and more time than I should have by staying when clearly I was not ready for the business opportunity. What I realized only recently, after joining an awesome MLM organization, is that I did not fail because the business opportunities were not good. The products were really great, and I loved them and believed in the company. The reason I failed at MLM was I was not ready for the business opportunity! What I mean by this statement is this:* I did not believe in myself* I did not believe in my own ability to succeed* I had low self-esteemI had all kinds of fears:* Fear of failure* Fear of rejection* Fear of not succeeding* Fear of making mistakesThese kinds of thoughts or mindsets will sabotage any great opportunity that presents itself to you. I have come to learn over the years that you have to be ready before opportunity knocks. If you are not prepared, and you go into a business opportunity or even a job opportunity, you will fail, become negative, frustrated, and you will eventually give up and quit.Success and financial freedom does not just happen. You have to prepare for it so that when it comes you will be able to not only handle it, but you will be able to maintain what you have obtained while you reach for new levels of success and opportunities.Toxic core beliefs (mindsets/thought patterns) need to be identified and detoxed from your thinking. If you do not, they will pollute and corrupt every thing you attempt to do. Your toxic thoughts or core beliefs will cause you to sabotage your own efforts to succeed and experience financial freedom. This will eventually cause you to experience a cycle of failures that can go on for a lifetime, if not dealt with.It does not matter how much positive affirmations or faith confessions you make if your core beliefs are rooted in negativity and unbelief. You will always move in the direction of what you truly believe. Have you ever heard the saying, “People say one thing and do another?” What you actually do or do not do is all predicated on what you really believe about money, business, success, people, the world, etc.The best way that I know of to identify or discover what you really believe (your core beliefs) is to become aware of what you are saying to yourself. The best time to do this is when you are under pressure or you are experiencing adversity in your life. What do you say to yourself when you make a mistake? How do you feel when someone says no to your opportunity? Do you call yourself negative names or put yourself down?Keep a journal to document your answers. When a difficult or challenging situation arises in your life, how do you respond? In your journal document the following: (1) What was the situation/circumstance (your trigger). 2) Write your response. 3) How could you have handled it differently? 4) Change the negative core belief to an empowering one. Confess or speak them over yourself daily, especially early in the morning and just before going to bed. Look at yourself in the mirror and tell it to yourself until you believe it. This is a way to renew or reprogram your subconscious mind.Great opportunities happen when preparation and opportunity meet! Decide what it is you want and what it take to get it. Then be willing to prepare and do whatever it takes! Remember this: failure is not fatal nor is it final; giving up on your dreams and goals is!Author: Yvonne Carson, M.Div., MA, MFT is the author of several e-books: The Courage to Change: Healing from Emotional Wounds that Bind You (An Interactive Workbook for Healing and Restoration); Wisdom and Life Lessons from the True Vine; Whatever You Seed You Will Receive: 50 Power-Packed Personalized Faith Confessions. Three Tips To Help You Build Your List

If you’ve been around the internet marketing world for any amount of time chances are you have heard how valuable it is to build a contact list. So many people focus on getting to the top of search engines when they could be spending that time working on building their list which is actually more beneficial then being at the top of the search engine. Google can drop you at the blink of an eye but a list can "google proof" your income.Building a list can be challenging but with these three tips you will be on your way to building an incredible list.1. Build a relationship first. Your main objective should not be money but building a relationship with your list subscribers. Don’t send email after email that just offers your products or services. Yes, putting your product or services in front of your subscribers eyes is key to making money, however, they more than likely signed up for your list expecting to receive some informative information, not just sales pitch after sales pitch. You will surely find if you continue to do that, you’ll have unsubscriber after unsubscriber. So focus on relationship building first and the monetary aspect later.2. Be consistent. Consistency is key! Have you ever signed up for a list only to end up forgetting you ever signed up for it because the emails were so far and few in between? Not only does it cause list subscribers to forget they signed up but it causes the potential for loss of income. Then, if you decide to start the list back up later, it will be tougher to get those subscribers to open those emails. So when you start your list make sure you are consistent.3. Use a good auto responder company. Each company will have different pros and cons you’ll need to evaluate and decide what will be the best for you and your needs. An auto responder is where you will keep your emails, find your opt-in code, keep an eye on tracking how many subscribers are actually opening your emails, etc. So it’s imperative that you have a reliable auto responder company, such as Mad Mimi. These are just three tips of 101 that you will find in 101 Smart and Easy Mailing List Strategies guide. If you want to start a mailing list or already have one, pick up your copy of Moms Talk Biz Guide to List Building 101 Smart and Easy Mailing List Strategies for easy to follow tips that will help you build a strong business foundation - your list!----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Mom2Mom Network ~ Providing Tools And Resources For Work At Home Moms: http://powermoms.ning.com
