Hi All the computer Virus was worse than expected. My poor computer was wait listed to be repaired, so a lot of folks have been zapped this holiday season. I hope to have it today. My blogging everyday this month went out the window will try for everyday in January.

I spent Friday and Saturday at an expo (Phoenix Urban Expo) fundraising for the Cultural Cup Food Bank in Phoenix. A small food bank at Osborn and 7th Street that services the immediate area. I got 7 companies to hold food drives, send volunteers and go back and ask their companies to make a financial donation. I also got a pharmacutical representative to go back to her company and ask them to do a program they have going somewhere else, here. This program would help clients to the free clinic obtained needed medicines. I didn't make any moola this weekend, but I think the Universe will return it to me.

There is nothing I can think of during this time of year that's more heart renching than to stand at the door and tell a family that you have run out of food. So please make a donation, even if its only $5.00. They can do amazing things with 5 bucks. To donate to this nonprofit go to http://culturalcup.com they operate a free foodbank and clinic. They turn no one away, they will try and find someone food and its all volunteer.

So I'm well over my five $5.00 /5 hours for the month (more like 16). Now is the time to help others, if you do it no other time of the year, do it now. Where ever you are, no matter what you're going through, go help someone else. Helping others will allow you to step back from your problems, will give you a new outlook on your problems. After you help someone else it allows you to look at your situation with fresh eyes. You will be surprised at how much stronger you are to handle your situation after helping another. Your spirit and heart will be lighter.

The wirequeen is stepping off her soapbox. :) Find some small nonprofit working in the community that is doing good work. Donate some time and some cash. You be the one receiving the benefits.
This is the blog post I put up today. I won't get my computer back today, hope to see it this week.
Peace.
Michelle

Act Your Wage

Interesting title right? Well think about it. Do you act like what you are worth? When you step out of your house do you look like a potential billionaire :0? Do you look like a professional? Do you look like someone others would want to work with??? Ask yourself these questions and if you can answer "NO" to any of them, then "Houston, we have a problem!" Even if you just started yesterday, you need to realize you now have a responsibility to build your business (if you want to be successful). And the only way that happens is through YOU.You have to think about how you present yourself when talking about business or having people rely on you for business services. This is also important for those that have a 9 to 5. If you want a raise but wear jeans everyday...even if there is no dress code, they probably won't take you too seriously. If you want a promotion but you come late everyday, you probably haven't even been considered for a promotion. When you purchase a franchise, MLM or any type of business venture, you then have a responsibility to grow it and show people what you have to offer. If you have a cosmetics company but never wear any of your products, why would people want to buy anything from you? If you own a health and wellness business, but don't appear "healthy", why would people want to use your product? If you don't look like anyone that can be successful in business, then it might be hard to get your feet off the ground. So think about it....do you act your wage??

Mr. Right Attraction Tip of the Week

Does it seem like you keep running into the same situation with each new relationship? What I have discovered about people who seem to be on this merry go round never seems to learn their life lessons. It seems that a lot of women run into the same issues in their next relationship because they don’t take time out to do a self-evaluation on themselves and their relationship before jumping into the next one.So a self-evaluation consists of asking yourself the following questions:What life lessons have I learned from my previous relationship?• As a partner, what are some areas that I need to improve on to enhance my next relationship?• What have I learned about myself through these experiences?• What are some behaviors that I am not going to take or tolerate in my next relationship?• These are just a few sample questions that you can ask yourself after ending a relationship.Hopefully, doing this exercise will help you get off the merry go round and get the relationship you want and deserve.Would you like to receive more of these Mr. Attraction tips in your inbox weekly? Take advantage of the Energy De-regulation.

Most people in Maryland don't even know they NOW have the RIGHT to choose their electricity provider. Much like thede-regulation of telephone local-long distance service in the 80s, you can nowdirect BGE or PEPCO to use an alternate energy provider. BOTTOM LINE ..you getthe same electricity BUT at cheaper prices - a savings of 10-20%.

You still remain the customer of BGE or PEPCO and continue to get the samequality/emergency service ...and continue to get billed by BGE or PEPCO. ANDyou help the environment at the same time!!!

ENROLLMENT IS ABSOLUTELY FREE. NO CONTRACTS, NO CREDIT CHECKS, NO FEES, NOCANCELLATION CHARGES! AND IT ONLY TAKES 2MINUTES OF YOUR TIME. Still notconvinced - watch this Fox News Video:

Make Lemonade out of Lemons?

Due to a terrible accident, I found myself sitting in traffic instead of enjoying the wonderful Holiday Tour at The White House with some of my CMI colleagues.

As I turned around to make my drive back home, I found myself crying and pouting like I was a 5 year-old. I felt I had let Nell Merlino, and the rest of the Count Me In Group down. I am sure you have heard the phrase “When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade.” This ageless proverb has long served as a beacon of hope and comfort to grieving souls worn by life’s most complex and heart-wrenching difficulties.

Why am I thinking about Lemons?

While driving back home, tired and cold, I received a telephone call and at first I hesitated to answer it, and then a voice inside of me said go ahead, you have nothing better to do.

I answered the phone with a bit of attitude and said, “This is Diane, how may I help you?” The deep, masculine voice on the other end responded by saying, “Maybe we can help each other.” I immediately changed the tone in my voice and hung on every word the caller was saying. The caller started by stating he would like to start an affiliate program to help sell my book and, since he deals with military bases throughout the U.S., he would also like to introduce my company to some of his clients.

We chatted a little longer about how one would go about getting a government security clearance and the terrible unemployment rate, and I really started to feel a little better. We are women, we are use to disappointments in life, right? After the conversation ended, I realized several things:

  1. Nell and the Count Me In group will be there as long as I need them.
  2. I can sign up for The White House Tour anytime.
  3. I can send President Obama and Michelle the questions I had about the unemployment rate by email.

So, “Count Me In” while I make lemonade out of my lemons—with a slice of chocolate cake, tonight!

Are you using Social Media like Twitter and Facebook to build your list? Are you building a list?

One thing you must be doing if you’re going to realize any level of business empowerment is list building.

One of the most important things in an Internet Marketing business is a list of contacts. It’s important for you to build relationshpswith your customers. Your contacts are called subscribers on your listsand they are the most important asset of your business. List buildingincorporates building relationships. Your prospects are encouraged tovisit your website through your marketing efforts. Hopefully they signup to receive your free offer which should be of value to them and youare given an opportunity to build rapport with them and share thesolutions you have with them.

You notice I said you have the opportunity to share your solutions with them. Unless you have the opportunity to build rapport andincrease the know, like and trust factor you will only share yoursolutions and never have the opportunity of actually add them to yourclient/customer community.

One way to build your list is to use Social Media.

Social media includes Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Myspace and it actually includes blogging. There are many other Social sites, however,my focus at this time is on Twitter and Facebook.

If you don’t have an account on Twitter you can go to www.twitter.com and you’ll see a prompt to register and you’ll need tofollow each one. The one thing you need to keep in mind is that thefirst impression is important having said that you need to have aphoto. If you have a business you might opt for a business logo, however, I would suggest that you have at least one account with yourpersonal name and then add another one. The other important thing is tohave a link to your blog or website. I suggest your blog or if you havea free offer (recommended) have a link on your page to direct them toyour free offer. This will also enhance your list building endeavors. You can only use one email per account.

If you don’t have an account on Facebook go to http://www.facebook.com you’ll see a link to register. Follow theprompts. Same thing with regard to your photo. Don’t post every linkunder the sun on your profile. Be intentional and don’t confuse yourfriends.

You need to know the proper etiquette for each site. Twitter is a fast mover. You can actually tweet all day, however, there is a rulewith regard to the ratio. You want to do more original tweets, followedby retweets and then maybe 20% tweets to your own offers, links etc.

Facebook is a little slower. You don’t want to post updates all day and resist posting links to your business for the majority of yourupdates on your profile wall. Your profile is for personal and there isa facebook fanpage that can be used for business.

Now back to the idea of list building. You need to know what your target market is and your goals for Facebook and/or Twitter. Withoutthis you won’t have any real results.

You’ll want to know your Twitter and Facebook strategy.

Then there are followers and friends. How do you add targeted followers on Facebook/ How do you add targeted friends on facebook?

These are all great questions. I can’t answer everything in this post however, I do want to invite you to request free access to myTele-training “I Rock on Twitter and Facebook and you can too!” Go to http://budurl.com/irocktwitterfacebook and you’ll receive immediate access.

Financial Tips for December 2010

Make Charitable Contributions
Consider making charitable contributions before year-end both to obtain the maximum tax deduction and to fulfill any charitable programs or commitments you may have established.

Buy a New Car
If you need a new car, now is a great time to purchase or lease. Frequently, dealers are anxious to clear out last year's inventory prior to year-end. In making your choice, consider the federal tax (and occasional state tax) advantages for buying fuel-efficient vehicles.

Examine Investments
Examine your current investments to determine those with unrealized losses. Consider selling those investments to take the loss this year. You can deduct up to $3,000 in capital losses in excess of capital gains. However, do not let the tax savings outweigh the investment potential. You might consider "swapping" for a similar company in the same industry if you like the potential of the industry.

Pay Tax-Deductible Expenses
Consider paying tax-deductible expenses prior to year-end. Some common examples are real estate taxes, quarterly state or local income taxes, investment-related expenses, and dues. These must be paid by December 31 to obtain a deduction this year. Professional guidance will be helpful here, so please call us.

Evaluate Your Progress
Evaluate your progress for the year. How close were you to your budget? Recalculate your net worth. Compare it to the value at the beginning of the year. How did you do?

It’s time to let go and move forward!

Are you still holding a grudge?A major problem that I notice that a lot of my clients have is unforgiveness. This can range from family to friends and down to ex-boyfriends. This is something that is a major issue that will repel Mr. Right from ever coming your way. And if you have ever worked with me then you know that this is one of the first things we work on in our coaching sessions. One of my clients once asked me why is it so important that we work on forgiveness. I explained to her that the reason we work on forgiveness is because it sets you free. Have you ever heard the saying “The truth will set you free.” Well, it is the same thing with forgiveness. When you walk around with unforgiveness towards someone they have power over you. Do you actually want someone to be able to have control over you? I don’t think so. I have seen countless women hang on to issues and situations that happened years ago.You might be reading this and asking yourself, Erica what does this have to do with attracting Mr. Right? It has everything to do with it. You see unforgiveness is a form of baggage. If you were to meet that special someone today or tomorrow then you would be bringing baggage into your relationship. I would prefer that you enter into a new relationship clean so that it can blossom into something healthy and prosperous. So let’s talk about the benefits of forgiveness.• Forgiveness sets you free• Releases you from past heartaches and pains• Releases anger• Heals you spiritually• Prepares you for loveI am no different from you and have walked around with unforgiveness in my life. After my ex-boyfriend and I stopped dating, I never fully forgave him for what he did. I didn’t even forgive myself for the things I did to him. So before I could move forward I had to forgive both of us because I knew I didn’t want the next man dealing with my previous crap.So one day I had the courage to call up my ex-boyfriend and tell him that I forgave him. (I didn’t actually call but texted instead. Sorry I didn’t have enough courage to do that and besides it was like 1 year later.) Anyway, I texted him and told him that I forgave him for everything that he did to me and I also asked for his forgiveness. In my mind, I thought that this conversation was going to go well but it didn’t. He basically cursed me out through texting and said that he wasn’t going to forgive me. I was shocked after all of this amount of time he still was holding a grudge. So the lesson that I learned is:You don’t have to wait for someone to forgive you to let go of unforgiveness.Mr. Right Attraction AssignmentYour assignment for this week is to make a list of all of the people that you are still holding a grudge against whether it is family, friends, or ex-boyfriends. It doesn’t matter.Once the list is made I would like for you to choose from the following:Option 1Write them a letter describing how they have hurt you and you are forgiving them. (This letter does not have to be mailed but can be burned instead. It’s a sign of letting it go.)Option 2Contact the people on your list and talk to them about how they have hurt you and let them know that you forgive themMandatoryWrite yourself a letter and tell yourself that you forgive yourself for everything that you have been blaming yourself for. Sign it, seal it, and mail it to yourself. Once you have received it in the mail read it aloud to yourself. If you would like to recieve more of Erica's weekly Mr. Right Attraction articles visit. www.guidingu2succes.com and download your free "How to Attract Mr. Right Kit."
