How Do You Define Success?

Perhaps you didn’t win the Presidential Medal of Freedom or help to win the USA vs. Mexico soccer match but one thing is for sure, your success, however large or small is just as important. You wake up, turn on your computer and you received a $100 affiliate commission or just brought in another distributor for your company. Such successes are important because, most often, these successes are a culmination of very, very hard work. But how do you measure success? How do you define personal success?The media has a way of making us feel that ordinary people have instant success in life and that every day citizens do not work long and hard. Most business owners or successful people spend countless hours marketing, talking with customers, vendors and employees just to break even their first couple of years.Network marketing gurus and affiliate commandos take a concept and implement massive action to find peak business models for their products. Numerous hours are spent on self-development, marketing techniques, communications and sales which leave little time for family or social events.Are you committed to taking the time needed so you may have a certain amount of success in life? Too busy to live?

Are you too busy to live?Every year Americans die from a lack of proper management andcare for our health . I know you don't have time to take a 20minute walk at least 2 times per week. It's too much to take time toplan my meals so that I don't consume too much food with empty calories,or overwork your heart with saturated fats.....sure we only live onceand must enjoy ourselves with over indulgence with desserts, fats,carbohydrates, sodas, fries, burgers, alcohol and...need I say more?Read the following study done by HHS' Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention (CDC)...........Mortality for several leading causes of death declined in 1999,according to preliminary figures from HHS' Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention (CDC), released today by HHS SecretaryTommy G. The Price of Parenthood - A CNN Study

Beneath CNN's top news of the Democratic Nomination sits an article that reads, "The Price of Parenthood - Mother's love worth $117,000 per year, study says". You can read the article here.I probably would have passed this article but decided to take a gander. In brief it states that SAHM work 94.4 hrs/wk. The basis of the dollar amount is due to all the overtime hours we put in for a typical day. And get this a woman that works outside the home makes in comparison (average) over 68K. Now I worked outside the home and have come close to that salary ( I cringe ever time I think about it) But whether you are Mom who works outside the home, stay at home, work at home are far more worth all the rubies and diamonds in the world. There is no dollar amount to equate what my Mother did for me or what I do for my kids now. Although I would like for someone to write me a check for $1,000,000.00 once in a while. LOLWhat about you? Is there really a price value for what you do as a mother or what our mothers did for us? Comments are welcome.
