Mommy-hood is no easy feat; regardless of age your mind, body, spirit and career will never be the same. The moment you meet your healthy and beautiful bundle of joy, your priorities will shift and you will change. But after the maternity leave has ended, how do you re-invent your personal brand to incorporate your new status when its time to go back to work?
At 43, with two kids (including a toddler), and in the midst of a re-invention, I have recently upgraded from sweatpants to fitted jeans, and the process to become the “brand” new mommy has not been easy. I had a thought: do all mommies—including celebrities—struggle to re-define their personal brand? The answer is a resounding yes. [continue reading]
I am so disgusted at what I am seeing and I want you to chime in. I want as many of you to chime in as you can, because I for one am tired of seeing my President, our President Barack Obama be blatantly disrespected in a way that no other President has been before. And in spite of all that, he still rises to each occasion with the grace, dignity, and professionalism that we should all mirror in all facets of our life. [video at bottom of this post]

It's no secret that Fox News dislikes President Obama. In a somewhat contentious interview, President Obama sat down with Fox News to talk health care reform but spent much of the time being interrupted. Obama couldn't get a word in edgewise with Bret Baier's mouth going. Total disrespect and an embarassment.
"I'm trying to answer your questions and you keep on interrupting," Obama told Bret Baier.
Fox News' Bret Baier interrupted President Obama so many times during Wednesday's interview that Newsweek described the enounter as a "interrupt-a-thon."
Baier acknowledged his repeated interjections at the end of the interview, by interrupting the president once more to apologize. Baier told Obama "I apologize for interrupting you, sir. I tried to get the most for our buck here."
MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell said that he could not recall a reporter ever questioning or interrupting an American president in such an aggressive way. Certainly, O'Donnell argued, Fox News never took that approach with former President George W. Bush.
Gorgeous and Glamorous. Dashing and Debonair. At Hollywood’s most glittering and anticipated evening of the year, the Academy Awards®, there was an extra sparkle on the red carpet this month. As celebrities showed off their couture outfits, sleek hairstyles and dazzling fashionable accessories, two particular items of jewelry attracted special attention.
The 46664 Bangle bracelets worn by Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary caught the eye of many on the red carpet because of their greater significance and meaningful positive impact. The bracelets are beautiful bling, but as they are engraved with Nelson Mandela’s prisoner number 46664, they also represent his humanitarian causes and the noble qualities for which he is adored around the world. The bracelets will be auctioned at a later date to raise money for the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
Morgan Freeman and his daughter were also wearing the silver 46664 Bangle bracelets which are available for purchase online. The bracelets are a powerful symbol of hope – creating employment where it’s so badly needed and supporting the 46664 Campaign of the Nelson Mandela Foundation in the ongoing fight against HIV AIDS. Every bangle sold raises funds, creates jobs, and spreads the message of social responsibility. We are grateful to Mr Freeman, his daughter, and Lori McCreary, for their support of the 46664 Bangle project.
Anyone can be a superstar and support the 46664 Bangle project by buying their own 46664 Bangle here – all the bracelets bear a digital imprint of Nelson Mandela’s hand, and are being referred to as the “South African Bracelet for Hope”. They are available in copper, silver, gold or platinum.

Since you’re selling to human beings wouldn’t it be great to know the five secrets that have the greatest influence on your customers? What I’m about to share with you will make you the Guru of Sales in your niche. I’m going to put them in the order of use in the marketing process, but they can overlap or be switched around to fit your situation.
What happens in nature when there is a vacuum? Right. There is an attempt to fill that void, and human nature also follows that law.
1. Filling the void – When someone does a personal favor or gives them something of value for free, this act provides an imbalance in the relationship. This creates a subconscious pressure on the recipient to give back in some way. This is what’s known in marketing as filling the void.
2. Reciprocation – In marketing the word “FREE” has the most response of any word in the English language. That’s why marketers use it over, and over again. Everybody likes something for free, don’t you? Even though “free” means there is no obligation or cost, the recipient does feel obligated. If something of real value is given to the person, an imbalance is created – a void in nature – that needs to be filled. Maybe not immediately, but if that person has gotten great value and use from the gift, there will be a nagging sub-conscious motivation to reciprocate in some manner.
You’ll find that some people just don’t seem to reciprocate, and it could be that they didn’t appreciate the full value of your offer. This is why it’s so important to make sure when you are offering a free gift with a promotion, that your customers are made aware of the full value of what they’re receiving.
What really makes this work in marketing, though, is that you make your “free” offer available when your customer takes action. Now it can be a very small one like filling out a customer card for you (which gives you their name, address, and email address), or accepting your product on a 30-day trial.
3. Getting your customer to like you - Have you heard the phrase, “if a customer knows, likes and trusts you then they’ll buy from you”. Well, you’ve gotten them to know you with your “free” offer, the next step is to get them to “like” you. The quickest way I know to get someone to like you is for you to let them know that you like them (reciprocation, again).
Now, not ALL people are going to “like” you and you’re not going to like all your customers, but if you take this approach you’ve a lot better odds of finding customers.
When you’re writing your ads and marketing letters always write as if they are a personal note to a real, live, breathing friend. Use plain talk as if you’re talking to your best friend, and not “hi-tech techno babble”. Keep it simple!
4. Trust – I don’t know about you, but when I hear someone say “TRUST ME” it reminds me of a snake oil salesman and makes me do anything but trust them. So how do you get your customers to trust you? Take a leadership role with them and tell them what they should do to take action and buy. You must be or present yourself as an “Authority” figure. An expert in your field and the only one they should buy from as proven by the endorsements of your other customers, their friends and neighbors.
If your offer is made in a letter, than include some endorsements from others, mention articles written about you, books, articles, newsletters that you’ve written, etc. It is interesting that most people don’t want to make a decision, and it’s better that you give them an action plan to say “yes”.
5. Scarcity – This is one persuader that really motivates humans to action, and you must create and manage this to your advantage in every offer you make.
People want things that solve their problems or make them feel good about themselves that are of good quality. They want it even more – if the quantity is limited in some way. Remember the law of supply and demand? If the demand for a product is high and the supply is low, then the price that’s charged will be accepted readily be it high or low. (Sounds like buying gas for your car, doesn’t it?)
Even if you create the “perception” that there is a limited quantity available, a limited time frame for availability, or whatever you conceive to use, you’ll find this a catalyst to action for your customer.
Of course, it goes without saying that you always include a guarantee of some kind in your offers. I always like the “no questions asked” type of guarantee for 30, 60, 90 days or even a full year if it fits for you. With this you’re emphasizing your credibility (trust) by saying you’re going to be around for a while. I’ve found that most times there are very few takers to the guarantee policy you offer, and if there is – you don’t want to keep an unhappy customer anyway.
Be sure to include all five of these tips in all of your offers (ads, sales letters, presentations, etc.) and you’ll see dramatic results and an increase in your business.

Empowered Entrepreneurial women are students of life
What separates an Entrepreneurial leader from a follower?Thereare many characteristics, however, entrepreneurial leaders do not havea mindset that adapts to failure. Things go wrong, of course, butentrepreneurs don’t call them “failures” they call them “glitches, mistakes, bungles, setbacks” – but not failing.
I've often heard it stated that you only fail when you quit or you only fail when you fall and neglect to get up.
An empowered entrepreneurial woman will approach decision-making withthe idea that there’s a strong likelihood that she will be wrong. Thisdoesn’t dissuade them – on the contrary they just do the best they canand worry about handling obstacles as they arise.
Another way oflooking at it is to realize that you will make mistakes, so make themas quickly as you can in order to learn from them. A good leaderdoesn’t view making mistakes as negative or irrevocable, he/she feelsfree to press on and try something new. There is the belief thatsomething useful has been learned, and hopefully not at a high cost.
Since we're going to make mistakes in this life why not make use of them as learning tools and don’t make the same ones twice.
Entrepreneursalso know the value of “intuition”. While you shouldn’t act on theresults of tossing a coin, there is something to be said about your“gut” feeling about the situation. Very often business people become soinvolved with systems and checks-and-balances that they forget aboutthat “gut” instinct they had when they started.
While notstrictly logical, intuition does draw on a combination of experience, knowledge, and analysis as well as a lot of “gut” information you mayhave forgotten that you have.
How do you become a strong leader? One way you become a strong leader in your business is by “practicing”being a leader. It’s not a course you can take at a business college;it’s learned in the school of life as you’re doing business.
Asa leader, you have to set standards and higher standards for your ownbehavior. You must do this because appearances are sometimes moreimportant that facts.
You must also set a commanding presence.
Do you maintain the appearance of leadership? Do you project a confident appearance of a successful entrepreneur?
Presentingyourself as a confident entrepreneur, filled with the excitement ofyour business idea, and a strong leader of your team (whether it’s 1 or10 employees) is what will make you a winner and add untold weight toyour Business Plan. After all, you are your business to that idealclient/customer so you’d better look good and confident.
To protect that faith that your people and your customers have in your organization, always ask yourself these two questions:
Could this be interpreted by anyone in a way that would shake their faith in my leadership?
Could this be misinterpreted and held against me or the company?
Onequality that every empowered entrepreneurial woman must possess is theability to bounce back. Strong leaders know that leadership is alifelong learning experience, and
that they are students of life and when they make a mistake they simply continue to move forward.
Don't waste your time waddling in the mud. When you don't achieve the desired result, get up and try again quickly.
Need motivation, direction and support in raising your game and making mindset
shifts so you can live a golden delicious life?

I find it funny how girls will take the fact that they are crying and upset over some guy that they just met and just charge it to the game; BUT when it comes to making that same guy mad or upset you wana get all worried and be like “I think I made him mad” or “I think I made him jealous” and then are wondering how to fix what you did….. ya, I don’t see the point in that either, if he don’t care that your upset and crying then why are you caring that’s he has his dick in a bundle. If you are able to tell him how you feel and he get mad and try to flip it on you and be like your making him mad, what’s the point and even having the convo with him.
If all women would take a second and STOP giving their “other half’s” excuses for their misbehaviors and just take it for what it is [them fucking up] there would be a lot less moodiness, a lot less tears, a lot less stress, and a whole lot more damn common since. I mean lets be real they can make up their own excuses for why they are acting the way that they are, and they already are but all we are doing is helping it out and pleading their case for them. Ladies stop fighting with yourself and be on your own team for once. TRUST you will see a WHOLE lot of things differently.

There is a split in you that is very clear. There is part of you that knows what you should do, and a part of you that does what it feels like doing. Don't let passion drive you, let reason hold the reins.
Once you understand these opposing forces warring within you, with this knowledge of the truth: you no longer remain a slave. A clear understanding of this will make you the master of your life.
Resistance is your thoughts transformed into feelings.
Change the thoughts that create the resistance, and there is no more resistance.
Are you controlled by your thoughts or are you controlling your thoughts? If you do not conquer self, you will be conquered by self.
If you are ruled by your mind you are a king, if by your body, a slave.
