Woman, the Gift from God to Man

Woman, the Gift from God to ManEverything that God made, He made it to be a giver as Himself. The sun gives, light and heat, the flowers give off a sweet fragrant in the air, bees give honey, and the clouds give shade and rain. When God created man in His image, He made a man that was not able to give anything since he had no one to give to. God insisted that it is not good for man to be alone; God made a helper that would be suitable or proper for him (Genesis 2:18).The Lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and God took one of his ribs, and He built a woman just for man and presented him with the ultimate gift from God. Then Adam declared that this gift was bone of his bones, and flesh of his flesh; that she shall be called woman because she was taken out of man. (Genesis 2:21, 22)I would like to take a moment to ask all married men, "Do you see your wives as the precious gift that God took the time and built just for you?" Many men if they really assessed this question would find that truthfully they could not answer that question with a quick "Yes".Marriages are failing so rapidly around, and in the church there is no exception there. Many men don't view their wives as the gift which God's intended from the start. Man is to love and cherish their wives until death do they depart. What is a gift? (noun)1. something bestowed voluntarily and without compensation.2. the act, right, or power of giving.Woman was given to man to be that suitable helper and gift from God in marriage. There are divine purposes of marriage as to what God wished to give to man and to the world. God knew there would be a need for woman after He formed man. The woman is absolutely essential in the plan of God.Woman's role in the will of God was to be a "help" who was suitable to maintain every particular mental, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical need. When Adam declared "bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh", this resulted in what has become know as the universal law of marriage. It can be seen that:1. the responsibility for marriage is on the man's shoulder – man is to "leave his father and mother";2. the responsibility for keeping the union together is on the man's shoulder's – man is to "cleave unto" (stick to) his wife; and3. the union is indissoluble – "they shall be one flesh."Woman as the gift from God to man is to bring him complete satisfaction.Contentment and satisfaction with the wife in marriage is essential for a happy marriage. Proverbs 5:19 states "Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished or exhilarated always with her love."Husbands are to appreciate God's gift that has been given to him by cherishing his wife tenderly, as a delicate object of affection, focus on her body and sexuality only, and let her affection and devotion consume him. With the high use of internet today, so many men have fallen into the trap of bondage of satisfying their lustful desires outside of the marriage. There are pornography sites, chat lines and instant messaging that has taken the place of the sacred bond of marriage and their vows as communication has broken down along with intimacy and trust. It is God choice that the wife of your youth be the only one to satisfy him. It is not the will of God that man disregards His order and seeks the affection or to fulfill his sensual cravings through artificial means.by Glyniel Garner

Receiving Through Giving.

We all know what scripture says about giving and tithing. But I learned a lesson yesterday that it is not always about giving money. For the last two months, I have found myself giving my business away. I know, pretty strange during times like these. But now that I think back, everytime I referred a customer to another insurance company where they received more coverage for less money, they all thanked God and said it was a blessing. There was a point, when I referred one of my favorite clients that I said to myself, Lord I am giving all of my business away. But I then felt in my spirit it was the right thing to do. So I have continued to do it. Not feeling guilty, but feeling glad that I am able to help someone save money and protect themselves more.Well yesterday, I received my numbers for new business that came from corporate. And it indicated that for the last 60 days, my office has written the most new business in my district. This made me smile. Because it showed me that with my obedience to look after other people and not be selfish, I trusted that God would take care of me and He did. This is just another way God "winks" at us. And I am thankful to Him for it. And of course it has encouraged me to continue to do the right thing when it comes to business as well.Just wanted to share this.Stay encouraged.

Allow the goodness

Allow the goodnessWhatever you allow to hold you back will hold you back. Whatever you allow to push you forward will push you forward. There are many factors, circumstances and influences that will flow through your life. Whether each one is a liability or an asset is, for the most part, up to you.Great disappointments and tragedies can arise out of seemingly perfect situations. And magnificent achievements can come from desperate, seemingly hopeless conditions. What matters most is not the nature of your situation. What matters most is what you take from it and what you do with it.Even in places and pursuits where others may have failed, you have the opportunity to succeed. Even those factors that may have held others back can be your motivation to move forward. Many things may seem inevitable, and yet most things are really not. No matter what life may send your way, choose to use it in a positive, productive and valuable manner.Allow the goodness, the abundance, the joy, and they will be.Be Blessed, Terri

What About Your Future?

My plan for your futurehas always been filled with hope.Jeremiah 29:1111 For I know the plans I have for you,? declares the LORD, ?plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV Bible)

We live in a world that sometimes seems void of hope. Wars, famine, pollution, recessions, etc. can cause us to become easily discouraged when we look at the prospects of our future. Discouragement can lead to depression, and depression can lead to hopelessness. When we are feeling hopeless, we see our circumstances and surroundings through a filtered lens that can cause us to continue to spiral downwards in our emotions and our attitudes. In this devotional scripture, God says that He has a plan for you, a plan that will prosper you and not to harm you, a plan that will give you hope and a future. While the economy may be saying one thing to us, God is saying another. While your circumstances may cry out hopelessness, God is saying that He has a plan to prosper and not to harm you. While we don’t know what the future does hold, we know who holds the future. We can trust in the goodness of God to care for us in the midst of situations that seem hopeless. Our hope is not in our circumstances, but in God our Father. That does not necessarily mean that life will always turn out the way we expected, but it does mean that we can always trust in our Father to love us and watch over us. If we commit our lives into His care, we are guaranteed from an everlasting perspective, that we will have an incredible future filled with hope awaiting us, that will last forever.PRAYERFather, I thank You that You have a plan for me that is filled with hope and a future. I know that You have plans to prosper me and not to harm me. I need not fear and I need not despair for you are in control of my life. Help me to commit my life to You, trusting in Your faithfulness to accomplish all that You have promised to do. In the name of Your beloved Son Jesus I pray, AMEN.Shalom,CandaceCANDACE HOUSE Ministries

The Wrong Short Sale House Might Not Ever CloseWhen you spot a short sale house that interests you, take your hand off the mouse and step away from the computer. Before you get all excited over the prospect of buying that short sale house, pick up the phone and call your real estate agent. Your agent needs to research that short sale listing first. In some real estate markets, fewer than one in 10 short sales close. Just because that home is listed as a short sale doesn't mean it's really for sale (because it's subject to lender approval), nor does it .......the rest of the article can be found on my blog http://shortsales-yllong.blogspot.com/God Bless

I used to be you. They snatched us and took us away from the land of our mothers. They raped and pillaged the minds of our brothers. They carried us like famished stocks of cattle and flocks of dehydrated and malnourished pheasant. But yet you forget. Why do you look at me that way like I chose to come here? Why must I walk around with my head down, drenched in guilt and shame. I was the one who was deprived of wearing my father’s birth name. I didn’t want to leave you, I had no choice. I didn’t speak the language, I had no voice. Stop veering at me with those eyes of hate. It has been so long but I will never forget the date. The time when I had my arms stretched screaming your name, asking you to come and save me. They held you back and closed their eyes, they did not want to see or even think of my demise. We floated in waters unknown. We heard creatures with unfamiliar tones. We departed from the only people we had known. We cried and screamed but no one was listening. No longer Kings and Queens, animals we would now be known. I didn’t want to leave you; that you must know. Instead of staring at me like I am some stranger, embrace me while we feel the wind blow. Tell me that you remember my eyes, they never changed. Even though my skin is lighter, don’t you still know my name? I am you and you are me. We are brother and sister, we are family. Look within, and remember that even though my DNA is a little different now, I am your kin. I carried a bow and you packed the arrows. You made the spear and I fetched the water. Don’t you remember me, I am your daughter. Our ancestors carry the same name; I knew you before the history books made their fame. We would run through tall grass of green, we would lie down and seek the stars. I might have left you but look in your heart, I didn’t go far. I have always been with you and you with me. They could not change what has always been, we are blood, so One we will always be. “African American” is now what they call me.Literary ThoughtCopyright 2008

Color Me Beautiful

Did you know that your underwear speaks volumes about the person you are or would like to be? With so many styles out there, whether it’s Roza or Ed Hardy Intimates it’s possible to find the perfect underwear that you feel truly good in. But it’s not just the style that creates effect but the color too. Nickii’s Boutique offers a range of styles and colors from esteemed USA and European designers. What does your underwear color choice say about you?White is clean and fresh, but it also shows a desire to make an impact and an attention to detail. For the ultimate in girly glamour, pink is the shade to choose. Pink lace and floral print lingerie isfeminine, gentle and sweet as sugar but pink can be racy too if you go for a hot shade of fuchsia.Purple is a great color for every femme fatale. If you’re shy about your body, purple is ideal as it harmonizes well with any skin tone and has a slimming effect. Lilac projects confidence and individuality and can create an aura of elegant seduction.More conservative? Then blue is the color to go for. Mid-blue projects an image of you as devoted, faithful and trustworthy. Make sure your choice isn’t too plain or you may appear boring or predictable! To achieve an irresistible air of mystery, opt for silk in a rich midnight hue.Black portrays a mysterious and sophisticated image. Perfect for a hot date straight from work, it’s a color you’ll feel sexy and self-assured in. If you want to turn up the heat a little, choose a sheer black underwear set. Sheers and satins are the height of fashion this spring/summer so you’ll look sassy and alluring in an electric combination.Red is the color most men opt for when choosing underwear for their wives or girlfriends. With that in mind, why not show your fiery side in a color that screams sex appeal! But, to guarantee you carry off the sex siren look to maximum effect, be sure to buy the right red to suit you. If you have an olive skin-tone, stick to the brownerreds like tomato red. For the fair-complexion, try the blue-based or cherry tones like a cerise or strawberry color.Warm pink would be an alternative for a softer look. If you’re dark skinned, the deepest reds are the best for you. Those of you with dark hair and pale skin can go all out in pillar-box red. If you fancy the drama of red but don’t feel fully comfortable in such an assertive, confident and exciting color, why not opt for black with a hint of red for a sexy but subtle look.

Our Prize

We’ve taken our eyes off the prize. Our gifts. Our babies. Our children. Our future. For too long. Far too long. Far too lost.Far too many, too far gone.Today, the things that matter most to our youth shouldn’t.And the ones who should matter most, don’t.The things they want to be, they’ll never see.The things they should see, they’ll probably never be.Why?Because, we’ve taken our eyes off the prize. So tomorrow, it’s time to reclaim our young generation.I know it’ll be hard. I know it will be tough. We’ll have to reach way down to get to them. To a dark place where demons of media, society, environment and so-called friends dwell. And loom large. And when we get to our children, it’ll be just as hard to lift them up to see the light. To take them from where they are, to where they need to go to grow. We’ve taken our eyes off the prize. So now, we’ll have to fight for and with our own babies. And, sometimes, some of us will get beaten. Some of us will give up. Many of us have. But I know I’m not afraid or alone. For when it’s time to battle, I will stand tall next to three warriors, rather than cower beside 300 cowards. And when I’m fighting all those damn demons, I’ll get weary. But find courage and strength I’ll need in others. So every day, and every tomorrow, I will fight. And focus. On my vision of a better world and way for my babies. And our children. While never taking my eyes off the prize.R.
