Choice of feelings

You create your feelings and you are responsible for them. By controlling those feelings in a positive and purposeful way, you can profoundly change your life for the better.If you blame another person for your feelings, what you're really doing is giving that person control over an important part of your life. If you avoid taking responsibility for your feelings, those feelings can quickly overwhelm you and leave you powerless.The way you feel can affect every corner of your life. By taking positive control of your feelings, you put yourself in a powerful and influential position in your world.Keep in mind that every feeling you experience is a feeling you have chosen. Though much of what comes your way is beyond your control, the way you feel about it all is completely up to you.If your life seems to be stuck, that's a sure sign that you're holding on to feelings that are no longer appropriate. Know that you can let those feelings go and be gloriously free to move quickly ahead.Feelings are powerful and can bring much richness to life, and the power they have is the power you choose to give them. Are you too busy to live?Every year Americans die from a lack of proper management andcare for our health . I know you don't have time to take a 20minute walk at least 2 times per week. It's too much to take time toplan my meals so that I don't consume too much food with empty calories,or overwork your heart with saturated fats.....sure we only live onceand must enjoy ourselves with over indulgence with desserts, fats,carbohydrates, sodas, fries, burgers, alcohol and...need I say more?Read the following study done by HHS' Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention (CDC)...........Mortality for several leading causes of death declined in 1999,according to preliminary figures from HHS' Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention (CDC), released today by HHS SecretaryTommy G. How to Find The Right Home Based Business

I recently read a request from someone seeking a Home Based Business that she requested was "honest", to work with. Knowing that people are shopping their business all day long, I wanted to shed some light on the process of picking the right business and what you should be looking for when comparing businesses.Here is my response to her request:Hey,So glad to know that you are seeking independence in the form of working from home. My name is Nicole Cooper and I mentor and coach others on how to brand and market themselves online. Having a background in Home Based Businesses (HBB) and Network Marketing, I just wanted to shed a bit of insight into what you should look out for when seeking a HBB...1. Find something that you can believe in. It is so important to believe in your product. You do not want to do something "just for the money". It will never last, and starting an HBB can be pretty challenging at times in all honesty, so you want your passion to see you through the challenge of the development stage.2. Find a mentor that you can trust. Although you will be in business for yourself, you will not be working by yourself, but will be working with a team of people that 'MUST' have your best interest in mind. I've worked under good and poor leadership, and trust me, the poor leadership nearly killed my business. Find someone that will show you how to disover your passion and push you to maximize your potential. But also keep in mind that you must be self motivated as well.3. Make sure that the compensation plan is worth your time and is tangible. In every business meeting opportunity, you will have the "highly paid" testimonials of that someone in the company that is making all this money in a short period of time.....BIG DEAL!!! The reality is, how possible is it for you to really make that money yourself, based on your talent and your efforts? Find a company with a compensation plan that is worth your time.....if that money is just a few dollars here and there, you may get discouraged and quit, feeling like your spending more money than your earning. There are companies that aren't that expensive to get involved with, and will pay a reasonable amount of money. YOu have to be realistic with how much money you want to make in comparison to how much effort your willing to put into it.4. Be ready to work hard....Working from home can often be harder than working a job. The reason why is because your hours go way past the normal 40 hours a week and you arent' getting paid every two weeks. You must also be disciplined with a daily agenda of "money producing activities" that will promote you to where you want to be financially. The downfall with network marketing companies is that most people rely on their upline to get them to their desired level of success. The truth of the matter is that it is all up to you. They may support you, encourage you and guide you but YOU must do all the work! At the end of the day, you can not place your future in anyone elses hands so be willing to be in control of your future and your work ethic.This is my tidbit of wisdom that I felt is necessary to share as you seek a business. One last tip....5. "Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: 'This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him.'" Mark 9:7I remember once being told that there is a reason God created us with two ears and only one mouth. Before we speak, it is important to listen carefully. I can think of times in my life when I spoke with my mouth before I really listened with my ears... and I got into big trouble as a result!Not long before his sacrificial death and triumphant resurrection, Jesus revealed his awesome glory as the eternal Son of God on the top of a high mountain before three of his disciples. Then and there the heavenly Father placed his stamp of approval on his Son and his God-given mission of saving the entire human race from sin's hellish curse. "Jesus is my dear Son whom I love with all my heart. Listen to whatever he says."My friend, listen to Jesus in his Word, the Bible. When you are lonely, hear him promise, "Surely I am with you always. I will never leave you or forsake you." When you are burdened by the guilt of your past mistakes, listen to him say, "I am the Lamb of God who has taken away all your sins and guilt forever. You are washed clean in my precious blood, poured out lovingly for you!" When you are worried and uncertain about the future, listen to Jesus assure you with his promise, "I have plans for you. I know you by name. Your times are in my hands. Be still and know that I am your God and Savior. I will lead you through life's journey." When you are afraid of dying, hear Jesus say, "I have conquered death and taken away its sting. When you walk through the dark valley of death, I will be your Good Shepherd and will hold you in my strong arms. You will die in peace, surrounded by my love. I will open your eyes to the joys of heaven!"Use your two ears to listen to Jesus! Administration Announces Nearly $8 Billion in Weatherization Funding and Energy Efficiency Grants

THE WHITE HOUSEOffice of the Vice President For Immediate Release March 12, 2009Administration Announces Nearly $8 Billion in Weatherization Funding and Energy Efficiency GrantsWill support energy efficiency efforts nationwide that will create 87,000 jobs and cut energy bills for familiesWashington DC -- Vice President Joe Biden and Energy Secretary Chu today detailed an investment of nearly $8 billion in state and local weatherization and energy efficiency efforts as part of the President’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. With an investment of about $5 billion through the Weatherization Assistance Program and about $3 billion for the State Energy Program, the Department of Energy will partner with state and local governments to put 87,000 Americans to work and save families hundreds of dollars per year on their energy bills.To jump-start job creation and weatherization work, the Department of Energy is releasing the first installment of the funding – about $780 million -- in the next few days. The Department will release additional funding over time as states demonstrate that they are using the funding effectively and responsibly to create jobs and cut energy use."This energy efficiency funding for states is an important investment in making America more energy independent, creating a cleaner economy and creating more jobs for the 21st century that can’t be outsourced," said Vice President Biden.The funding will support weatherization of homes, including adding more insulation, sealing leaks and modernizing heating and air conditioning equipment, which will pay for itself many times over."Even as we seize the enormous potential of clean energy sources like wind and solar, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act makes a major investment in energy efficiency, which is the most cost effective route to energy independence," Chu said.The Weatherization Assistance Program will allow an average investment of up to $6,500 per home in energy efficiency upgrades and will be available for families making up to 200% of the federal poverty level – or about $44,000 a year for a family of four. [$55,140 for Alaska and $50,720 for Hawaii]The State Energy Program funding will be available for rebates to consumers for home energy audits or other energy saving improvements; development of renewable energy projects for clean electricity generation and alternative fuels; promotion of Energy Star products; efficiency upgrades for state and local government buildings; and other innovative state efforts to help save families money on their energy bills.The DOE’s Weatherization Assistance Program allows low-income families to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient, reducing heating bills by an average of 32% and overall energy bills by hundreds of dollars per year.

The First Quarter topic is...HI, MY NAME IS...THE DEALIO:Give us a little background check: who you are, what you do, where you’re from, likes, dislikes, etc. Feel free to use your real name, a goofy name, a nickname, the name of a character in your book (or someone else’s), or a member of your family.THE CATCH:~ You MUST BE between the ages of 13-18 and a student (public, charter, homeschool, alternative, etc)~ up to 4,000 words max.~ Material can be either fiction or non-fiction in the form of a short story. If you’ve never written in this format before, here’s your chance.~ No violent content (rape, murder, sodomy, incest, etc) or excessive use of swear words.~ No limit to number of entries.~ Material MUST BE original and unpublished.~ Please edit your work before sending it in. Do You Know James Ingram the Artist from Akron OH

The latest music of one of my favorite artist and someone knew from my hometown is so awesome I want everyone to be blessed with this music as I have been for most of my life. James Ingram and I grew up in the same neighborhood, in Akron, Ohio and his music is so familiar to me.James has an extensive collection of music from Revelation Funk of the 1970’s to singing back up with Ray Charles and everyone remembers PYT “Pretty Young Thang” and “Secret Garden” just to mention a few of his talents.I have listened to his parents sing in church, his brother play the organ in church and stood next to his sister in our high school choir. Yes the entire family is talented and deeply Spiritual. This latest work brings back memories of that sleepy little industrial town where everyone worked at the rubber factory and went to church.His latest work reminds me of high school football games, summer picnics at Turkeyfoot Lake and going to church. “Stand in the Light” is reminiscent of Sunday school followed by morning service and a dinner after church already prepared waiting to be reheated.The testimony of a neighbor or someone “shouting” and being filled with the Spirit that morning in church inspired you to make a new commitment to yourself to be better because it could always be worse and that you could be in someone else’s shoes.In Don’t Let Go he sings of what his father taught him about lessons learned and enduring life on life’s terms. A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door..SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.SON: 'I just want to know.. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.. 'The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy..'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.Just something to think about!D
