Thank you LaShanda.
Believe it or not I have felt like quitting. What? The Empowerment Diva?
Yes, moi. However, I do feel blessed to have conquered many fears, opportunities to lose hope and throw in the towel. How? My faith, life skills, embracing the process, mastering my mindset, having an appreciation of life, embracing an attitude of gratitude, being authentic, giving value, being committed to my core values, connecting with mentors, loving and being loved by my family and more!
I’d like to dedicate this poem to you. Whatever you do get clarity of your purpose, goals and be a tenacious woman with a resolve of no retreat. Stand strong in your faith and embrace Divine influence.
Keep learning. Keep reaching. Don’t be an island. Connect to an accountability partner.Don’t be afraid to let go of Dream killers, toxic and negative people. Live long and prosper “spirit, soul and body.”
You can make it. Soar above your challenges and manifest “Your Diamond Life!”
Don’t Quit
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
For life is queer with it’s twist and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won if he’d stuck it out.
Success is just failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the cloud of doubt.
And you never can tell how close
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit!

Say this “I will not quit. I have everything I need within me.
If I just don’t quit. The best is yet to come.
I will not quit!”

I spend most of the year promoting and reviewing the products of so many wonderful black entrepreneurs online, so when the holidays hit, one of the things I enjoy is sharing my finds with others. In 2008 I created the Color of Christmas, a free - downloadable African American Holiday Shopping Guide. The Sneak Peak version currently includes a range of products from African American Christmas Cards and Ornaments to Stylish Tees, Beauty Products, and Toys for our Kids.
Click here to download the sneak peak preview. The majority of the black businesses featured are from the BBWO Network. The official guide will be released after Thanksgiving, so if you would like to include some of your products in this year's guide visit the website for more details | http://thecolorofchristmas.com.

p.s. Also be sure to also review the latest Dollar Downloads and share your own!
I was lucky enough to obtain the Sistas Who Sell 7 Day Challenge for $1 and it's been worth it. LHenry has given great information so far on how to market yourself and your business using social media, driving more customers to your site and making your site easy to navigate for your current and future clients.
Personally, I haven't logged into my blog in months and I haven't earn a dime with my afflilate marketing. I've learned that I'm being what LHenry calls a "lazy entrepreneur" and that gets you nowhere fast. Listening to the audio lessons for these past 4 days have given me motivation and also idea's for an online business. I can't wait until I'm implementing what I've learned during these 7 days and seeing the results from my hard work and LHenry's expertise.
The journey has only just begun! Let's Get It!!!

Thanks,

We attended this years annual trade show put on by the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is known for its themes and putting on a great show. I don't know if it is the economy or the cloud hanging over their head from the lawsuit that they have lost on two judicial levels, but it was not the same.
This years theme was "Walking the Red Carpet." The Chamber as usual did a great job. They had the red carpet set up complete with backdrop. Kidder and staff were dressed for the event. The vendors this year made NO effort to get into the theme. This year only one or two booths even made an effort by dressing in after 5 attire.
Last years' theme was "The Fabulous Fifties" and the vendors were all in. The winner of the best booth design was very hard to pick. We wanted a hair salon to win. They had cigarette girls and a nail tech who dressed as Madge from the old dishwashing detergent commerical (Dawn I think) she even had a bottle in her pocket. The booths were Fabulous.
I know the economy is in the tank, but if you're going to spend the money for a booth, you have to put your game face on and give your best effort.
If you had spent the money on a booth what would your selling technique have been? Would you have gotten in the spirit of the theme, or would it be business as usual?
I gravitated to those who made an effort. I noticed others who attended did also, even they weren't the ones you originally intended to see.
Are you your own worst enemy?
How many times have you started out with a Bang and end up with a fizz?
It goes something like this. You have a great idea or maybe we’ll call it a bright idea. You’re excited and can’t sleep at night becauseideas are flowing and you can’t turn it off. You jump up ready to goand put some things in place. This keeps up for about a week and slowlybut surely you start winding down.
Or maybe you’ve struggled with fear, low self esteem, a lack of confidence and you have a good week and another two good weeks so youthink everything is peachy cream until one day you hit a low.
What happened?
Why can’t you keep it going? Why can’t you sustain the motivation?
You are operating off of the high of self preservation, innovation and creation but lack the internal wiring to sustain your motivation. You recognize a need to develop the skills needed to change things, however, you talk yourself out of it due to a one day, week, monthwonder.
Can we be real (authentic) here. What’s happening on the inside? Is there a void and you’re trying to fill it with external things? Is yourinner critic louder than your healthy spirit and soul?
Are you suffering from an independent spirit and refuse to acknowledge your need to step out of yourself and get the support youneed?
It’s important that you nurture your spirit, soul and body. Take time to lay a solid foundation by settling and mastering yourpsychology which includes things such as your mindset, limiting beliefsetc. , get clear on your vision, setting and writing down effectivegoals and applying strategies that will allow you to realize your goals.
Without this your efforts will be a hit and miss.
Next it’s important that you connect with an accountability partner. I say this often, however, it’s key to your overall empowering success. If you continue to have episodes such as what I mentioned above you’llsoon become discouraged and conclude that business success is just notfor you leading you to abandon your dream and return to the routine 9to 5 job.
Are you your own worst enemy? Yes, you can be. If you neglect to acknowledge where you are and seek out support to resolve your concernsand simply apply a band-aid by coming up with the next best bright ideaor sucking in yet another teaching of the next best Guru you are yourown worst enemy. If you push down the negative chatter, disempoweringbehaviors and limiting beliefs due to a sudden surge of empowermentinstead of dealing with the internal, you are your own worst enemy.
No one’s going to commit to your destiny like you. No one’s going to do whatever it takes to realize your dreams, “YOUR diamond life” like you will.
The time is now to stand up for yourself. Seek out support. Your challenges don’t have to overtake you. You can soar above them.
Arise and shine. It’s your life. Say yes to YOUR Diamond life!

So I began to think about a conversation I had with Lashundra the other day she said " YOu have to be authentic and transparent"...as simple as that is..it is hard for some people to wrap their mind around. I am thinking be transparent..are you serious..so you want me to tell people that I lost over 50lbs and I still struggle with food choices...so you want me to tell people "You can do it"but I have affirmations all over my house reminding ME that I CAN do it:)
Yikes that is scary but heck what is there to lose? My life is the best story that was ever written so why not tell it..why not share with the world....can't always be the expert..can't always be the guru with no flaws...heck this is NOT corporate america..its Attraction marketing...so the same thing that attracts a moth to a fire..is what will attract others to YOU...YOUR LIGHT...so Go on out there is the world...and let it shine...shine shine shine :)

Powergeneses II The Acts of the Universe
The greatest conquest of all is to be the Conductorof the acts of the universe. Suddenly the power of God came. Suddenly I knew that every word of Godwas true. It was like living water burning on my hands and feet. There came a whirlwind of pounding rains. Listen to the rain, the thunder andlightning. It was the sound of a 1000 drum songs.
I took in a deep breath and braced myself. Slowly in a slight circular manner I movedmy right arm from my right side and around forward and up. Look high to theheavens. inhale the life of the millioninhabitants. Feast on the power of the million year old forces.

The orchestra of the drums was reaching a crescendo and a thunderous roar was heardthroughout the universe. Knowledge, wisdom, revelation, understanding, might and information held to the massive wave thatinvaded All. It was tradition. We seemed to have become frozen in time. Thesacred sounds, beats, rhythms and tempo were infusing health, wisdom and wealth into an already ignitedatmosphere. The boom screamed leaving footprints in the earth. A legacy secondto none was being conceived.

Though this may seem obvious, it is often overlooked or done poorly.First, say your name and company, then ask for the same from your listener.
2. Be specific about your line of work.
Don't say, I'm in technology or, I'm in insurance. Instead, bespecific. For example, “I specialize in creating targeted marketing solutions for business insurance agents. Or, We focus on the lowest possible fares for law firms that fly their lawyers on short notice, and we can get them waivers and favors to reduce their bottom lines.
3. Organize your introduction.
Prepare a 15-second opening statement that describes what you do. Ifyour product or service is technical or hard to explain, begin with a 15- to 20-second story that illustrates how you provide solutions for your clients. Stories help create and maintain listener interest.
4. Inform, don't sell.
Don’t come on with a sales pitch. Always remember that your initial goal is in building a relationship. When in doubt, remember a low-key introduction is always better.
5. Be yourself.
Not being yourself can make you look silly, artificial, or worse.Learn what makes people receptive and master that. There is no substitute for being genuine.
6. Be a better listener,
When someone else is speaking, it’s tempting to be thinking of yourresponse. But careful listening builds goodwill, trust, and confidence. Two ears, one mouth, use them proportionately.
7. Follow-up.
Always send a personal note to follow-up your conversations. It isunlikely your listener will need your product or service immediately. But don't be surprised when they make the call and say, I really appreciated your note when we met last. Oh, and can you do it via email? Sure, but a sending a personalized greeting card goes a long way toward making a lasting impression.
So after your next networking event, pick someone and send them a follow-up greeting card on me. Go to www.sendoutcards.com/80793 - click option #2 and follow the prompts.
Take care and stay blessed!
