The following are the most common causes of women's hair loss:

Andogenetic Alopecia

The majority of women with androgenic alopecia have diffuse thinning on

all areas of the scalp. Men on the other hand, rarely have diffuse

thinning but instead have more distinct patterns of baldness. Some women

may have a combination of two pattern types. Androgenic alopecia in women

is due to the action of androgens, male hormones that are typically

present in only small amounts. Androgenic alopecia can be caused by a

variety of factors tied to the actions of hormones, including, ovarian

cysts, the taking of high androgen index birth control pills, pregnancy,

and menopause. Just like in men the hormone DHT appears to be at least

partially to blame for the miniaturization of hair follicles in women

suffering with female pattern baldness. Heredity plays a major factor in

the disease.

Telogen Effluvium

When your body goes through something traumatic like child birth,

malnutrition, a severe infection, major surgery, or extreme stress, many

of the 90 percent or so of the hair in the anagen (growing) phase or

catagen (resting) phase can shift all at once into the shedding (telogen)

phase. About 6 weeks to three month after the stressful event is usually

when the phenomenon called telogen effluvium can begin. It is possible to

lose handful of hair at time when in full-blown telogen effluvium. For

most who suffer with TE complete remission is probable as long as

severely stressful events can be avoided. For some women however, telogen

effluvium is a mysterious chronic disorder and can persist for months or

even years without any true understanding of any triggering factors or

stressors.

Anagen Effluvium

Anagen effluvium occurs after any insult to the hair follicle that

impairs its mitotic or metabolic activity. This hair loss is commonly

associated with chemotherapy. Since chemotherapy targets your body's

rapidly dividing cancer cells, your body's other rapidly dividing cells

such as hair follicles in the growing (anagen) phase, are also greatly

affected. Soon after chemotherapy begins approximately 90 percent or more

of the hairs can fall out while still in the anagen phase.

The characteristic finding in anagen effluvium is the tapered fracture of

the hair shafts. The hair shaft narrows as a result of damage to the

matrix. Eventually, the shaft fractures at the site of narrowing and

causes the loss of hair.

Traction alopecia

This condition is caused by localized trauma to the hair follicles from

tight hairstyles that pull at hair over time. If the condition is

detected early enough, the hair will regrow. Braiding, cornrows, tight

ponytails, and extensions are the most common styling causes.

Have you discovered your voice yet? In 2006, I purchased Stephen R. Covey’s book The 8th Habit from Effectiveness to Greatness. The book came with a DVD to teach the lesson on each chapter. These short films were so intriguing I decided to place the book on the bookcase and read it later. Well later was this weekend. A still small voice stopped me in my tracks and told me to go read The 8th Habit. The first 3 chapters discuss the pain we maybe experiencing as a result of not discovering our voice, the problem in using outdated paradigms which cause the pain and the solution to change yourself from the inside out by finding your voice and inspiring others to find their voice. In order to learn how to find your voice and inspire others, chapter 4 tells us to open our birth-gifts.

One such birth-gift is our freedom and power to choose. I love the analogy Mr. Covey gives of this gift. He said, “The essence of being human is being able to direct your own life. Humans act, animals and human ‘robots’ react.” That is so profound. In order to discover your infinite potential, you must recognize how to activate your freedom and power to choose. “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In those choices lie our growth and our happiness. Although, I heard this before, this time it hit me like a ton of bricks. How do you respond to a stimulus? Do you act or react? In order to grow and bring more happiness into our lives, it is wise to take a pause in that space to consider the most practical choice to make and then respond. Makes me wish I’d read this book back in 2006.

Our next birth-gift is natural laws or principles. Do you live by natural laws and principles or the next “quick fix”? One of my favorite sayings is “it’s the principle of it.” “Principles are universal—that is, they transcend culture and geography. They are timeless, they never change—principles such as fairness, kindness, respect, honesty, integrity, service, contribution.” An example, “you can never have enduring trust without trustworthiness." So, if a woman and her husband agree she will not buy shoes this month to cut back on expenses and then goes shopping with her girlfriends and buys a new pair of shoes that was calling her name and then hides them in the closet before her husband gets home, is she untrustworthy? The wife may feel this is a minor indiscretion; however, “all actions have consequences.” 

The last birth-gift in this chapter is the four intelligences/capacities of our nature. Our four parts of nature are the body, mind, heart and spirit, which correspond to “the four intelligences, that all of us possess: our physical or body intelligence (PQ), our mental intelligence (IQ), our emotional intelligence (EQ) and our spiritual intelligence (SQ).” Developing these intelligences will allow “great peace and power to come into your life.” Since our “(PQ) is the instrument of the mind, heart and spirit we can subordinate our appetites and passions to our spirit or conscious—and become masters of ourselves.” 

Recognizing the pain, problem and solution to your frustration or dissatisfaction along with the freedom to choose, natural laws and principles, and developing your birth-gifts will aid you in discovering your voice. Victory Professionals Services is currently employing customer service agents to work from home. Customer service representatives are paid $9.00-14.00 per hour, and they make their own schedule. 7 Tips To Building Relationships With Book Clubs

Hello everyone,

Today, I want to ask you a few questions:

• Do you feel unappreciated by others?
• Do your contributions and talents go unnoticed?
• Do you suppress feelings of frustration because, you are trying to be nice and not rock the "boat" at home or at work?
• Do you feel that others treat you disrespectfully?

If you answered yes to any of these questions? Then, you may have an issue with self-perception. People's treatment of us tends to be a direct reflection of how we treat ourselves. If you treat yourself well; others will too.

For example, if you notice people:

• Talk over you doing regular conversations or disagreements.
• Do not respond to your requests for help or to complete a task you assigned them (Co-workers. your kids,etc.)
• Make you feel "invisible".

Then these things may be occurring because you:

• Are not speaking up and articulating your opinion with confidence.
• Are not holding people accountable to complete the task/s you have given them and in your frustration you simply take care of it yourself. (This simply encourages people to ignore you because, they know you will do their work for them.)
• Appear to lack self-confidence and you tend to "hide" from recognition.

Our self-assured or poor opinion of ourselves shows up in our work, relationships (family, friends, romantic), and in the general day to day activities of our lives.

If you constantly feel frustrated or overwhelmed; find yourself constantly complaining about a lack of cooperation or help; or allow others to ignore you. You are encouraging behavior that says it is okay to treat you carelessly and with a certain level of disrespect.

Maybe you grew up believing:

• You had to make everything right for others, go the extra mile (Even, if it meant ignoring your needs.)
• Do whatever it takes to keep the peace (Even, if it meant loss of personal peace of mind.)
• That having a good opinion of yourself is arrogant and uncomely behavior (especially for a woman).

Whatever has brought you to this point in your life. Now, is the time to change how you feel about yourself and finally experience a life that is more complete and satisfying. Take charge of your personal self-opinion and acknowledge you are an amazing person who deserves to receive the best. Others will follow your lead.

Here are a few things you can do to get started:

• Stop taking on other peoples responsibilities. (Co-workers, spouse/partner, your children, etc.) 
• Say "No" more often. If you feel uneasy about a request for your time and attention because, you know it will "stretch" your already limited time. Just say "No".
• Treat yourself kindly. Find ways to pamper and allow yourself time to relax.
• Make time for things you enjoy and be firm about this time being just for you. Let other people work around your schedule for a change.
• Speak up; if you feel strongly about something or have an idea that might be helpful let others know. Even, if the idea is rejected. At least you spoke up and others know you are unafraid to speak your mind.
• Be thoughtful and courteous to others and allow them to be helpful for you as well.
• Learn to accept compliments. Yes, this seems like an odd thing to say, but learning how to be more gracious encourages others to treat you with more respect and look for additional ways to make your life easier and more pleasant.

Utilize the above list and gradually you will see a positive change in how others treat you and even more important; how you are enjoying and finding new ways to honor and respect yourself.

You are always in control of your own good opinion of yourself so, lead by example.

The unknown secret to purchasing pure 100% extra virgin olive oil

Is to first make sure that it is stored in a dark colored glass bottle. Olive oil should be stored away from sun light or bright lights and away from heat. Clear glass or clear plastic is an indication that it is not pure.

Second - When tasting pure extra virgin olive oil, after swollowing a teaspoon or so, you should feel a slight spicy or a very, very light hot sauce type of burning after swallowing.

The third thing is to place the bottle of extra virgin olive oil in the fridge and allow it to reach refridgerated temperature .Pure olive oil should cloud up or solidify in cold climates.

The fourth test to do is to take a piece of paper towel and tightly twist both ends.Then dip one end or pour enough olive oil to soak one end (less than a third of the paper towel) and light with a match.

Pure extra virgin olive oil is flamable and will ignite instantly when exposed to a flame. (((((WARNING/CAUTION))))):If you chose to do the flame test,

BE SURE TO HAVE RUNNING WATER OR A POT OF WATER CLOSE BY TO DOUSE THE FLAME WITH IMEDIATELY AFTER LIGHTING.

Also when purchasing 100% pure extra virgin olive oil is to look for a harvest date that should also be printed along with the experation date.

Try to find olive oil that has the "California Olive Oil Council" seal printed on the nutrition label.

There is reason to believe that extra virgin olive oil could play a significant role inpreventing cancer. It's been estimated that up to 25 percent of the incidence of colorectal cancer, 15 percent of the incidence of breast cancer, and approximately 10 percent of the

incidence of prostate, pancreas, and endometrial cancers could be prevented if the populations of Western countries would consume the traditional Mediterranean Diet.Of course, this would mean an increase in fruit and vegetable intake as well as the substitution of olive oil as a main source of fat in the diet.
