In my travels, people ask about different motor oils, and adding additives. Everyone has their preference on name-brand oils. I don’t get into the brand-name battle. As for additives, there isn’t a need to add an additive to your motor oil. As we all know, regular oil changes are one of the most important things that can be done to extend the life of an engine. Premium-quality motor oil will maintain its effectiveness over the life of the oil drain, allowing it to help keep the engine clean. In every bottle of oil there are certain additives that play a key role. Unfortunately, the petroleum industry isn’t required to put the motor ingredients on the bottle. But, the additives are in there. Anti-wear additives help lay down the protective film between moving parts, and stops oxidation of the motor oil. Dispersants grab the dirt and sludge before they build up during engine operation. Detergents help keep high-temperatures surfaces clean (pistons). Changing the oil at proper intervals will help to prevent ring sticking and piston deposits. The viscosity index improvers are additives that are added to ensure proper oil viscosity at extreme cold and hot operating conditions. Make sure your vehicle has its proper oil weight. If not, you’re making your vehicle work harder. Friction modifiers help to reduce friction in critical areas of the engine, thus enhancing the vehicle’s fuel economy. In order for the motor oil to complete its job, follow the recommended oil change intervals, and motor oil specifications found in the owner’s manual.

Everyday, I receive information on how to do this or that. I receive information on car warranties or buying a vehicle. When was the last time someone ask, how is your vehicle maintenance going? Did you change your oil today? Did you check your oil today? Did you schedule your oil change?If you answered no, I'm here to help you make a wise decision about the maintenane of your vehicle. Changing the oil in your vehicle is just as important to you eating. Your vehicle needs fresh oil. Your current oil can't wait until you have the time, for a change. Your owner's manual instructs the owner when to change the oil. Some vehicle's oil needs changing at every 5,000 to 7,500 miles. Going over the recommended mileage isn't good for your vehicle. Also, changing the oil too soon isn't good either. There were ads that encouraged oil changes at 3,000 miles. As I stated earlier, vehicles can travel further on their oil. The 3,000 were for oils that were singled weighted. What is single-weighted? Single-weighted oil are 30, 40, or 50 weighted oils. These oils are still around. They come in detergent and non-detergent. But, they aren't used by vehicles. Today's vehicles use two-weighted oils. These oils consist of two-parted oils. Most vehicles use 5w20 or 5w30. There are more special type oils. We will discuss those oils, at another time. Plus, I don't want to make this post too boring for my readers.Locate your owner's manual. This will tell you the weight your vehicle uses. When getting your oil changed, ask the garage what type of oil they're using. Using the proper weighted oil in your vehicle is very imporant. It's nice to be back. I see there have been a lot of people visiting my spot. Thank you for looking at my page. Unfortunately, I have been away due to illness. Things are looking positive.So, I need to get back to helping with my automotive tips. Are you glad the gas prices are down? But, we keep hearing how bad the economy is doing. That shouldn't stop you from maintaining your car. Keep up with you oil changes, rotating the tires with the proper air pressure, and tune-ups. Just yesterday, I noticed the gas prices creeping back up. So, everyone needs to be dilegent about the the auto maintenance. Don't cut corners with you vehicle. With people being laid off, you may need to travel a little further to make ends meet.Where did we leave off with our tips? We've talked about using the correct oil weight. We've talked about why you should change your oil. Why the correct tire pressure is critical to the life of your tires. Here a topic that is overlooked by many car owners.Timing belt changeDoes your vehicle have over 60,000 miles? Did you buy it used? Do you have the maintenance records from that purchase? The timing belt is the most overlooked maintenace. Most people are surprised that there is a timing belt on there vehicle. The timing belt is overlooked because it's not seen by the naked eye. It's under a cover. You can't look at it to see if it need replacement. When do most people notice the timing belt? When it breaks as you're driving down the road. Your vehicle will suddenly shut off. You will lose all power to your vehicle. When the timing belt breaks, there is a chance the engine will need replacement. You won't know until the repair starts. Most engine are called interference motors. This will keep them from being repaired.In other words, get the timing belt replaced. A Day In the Life of Credit Restoration!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I rose this morning (Thank you Jesus), got the kids on the bus by 6:30, received a few phone calls around 8'ish, ate a miniature Snicker's candy bar and a few chips and began networking......Well to start, my goal today is to enroll 3 people today into the service in an attempt to help them to restore their credit to its rightfull place, follow up with some customers that have gone through the process and offer them the opportunity to join our business. So far I have a 12 noon appt. and a 6pm appt and several phone calls to make in between, but I am on a mission today.I Plan on getting one recruit today as well.My mission: Help others while also helping myself. Well, here I am back at it again....loving what I do of course but wanting to get a cup of coffee. Anyway on to the reason for this blog.The importance of having a Business Building Philosophy is to build a network whereby recruiting never stops, therefore sales never stop, therefore income never stops. How many times have we all seen an "individual" come into an opportunity and generate numerous sales???? For me, I have observed this while they observe me RECRUIT! A person that can sale, sale, sale is gifted indeed at sales, no doubt about it.My point is that, with recruits (ie, multiple outlets and/or franchises) you can have others that will duplicate your skills if you train and mentor them. That is what our fearless leaders have taught us. Not only are they a walking billboard for success, but they also provide us with the same opportunities and mentorship every 2-4 months. You can experience this regardless of where you currently reside.We are not watching them from a podium in the back of the "Pepsi Center", but we are in the same room, taking notes and shaking hands with them.Success leaves footprints and I do not ever want to have to wonder "who moved my cheese". Why am I asking this quesiton? I want to help you save money. Keeping your tires at the proper inflation is very important. Yes, they're just made of rubber. They help you keep traction with the road., If they're in good shape, you don't skid across the road, in the rain.But, here are the points on keeping your tire pressure, in check. By checking your tire pressure, you won't have to buy tires every six months. It won't wear your front brakes out. You'll help out your front end parts. You'll get a better ride. You'll save on your trips to the gas station.Now, here's the what-not-to-dos: Don't trust the free air pump gauges. Carry your own tire gauge. The free air pump gauge is used by everyone. The air gauge is dropping on the ground. It's not calibrated by the service station owner. They're just providing a free service. When airing up your tires, don't use the eye test. You know the one, where you stand back and look to see if the tire no longer touches the ground. This isn't a good tire gauge. Once again, get one from your local part store. Oh yeah, the kick the tire test doesn't work either. Here's something you can use. Your proper tire pressure is located in the driver's door jam. This sticker will inform you of the correct tire pressure and tire size. Use the information located on this sticker. It's there for you to use.
