In a recent call "5 simple secrets to begin living your delicious life"
I shared this as one of the secrets. There are 4 plus additional secrets

You must make sure your life is in good shape, although I didn't
go into detail on the call about Total Wellness this is also
very, very important.

Life balance

less than 3 times per week total. We will also use a tool that will be
very instrumental in taking a look at your life balance, giving you a
measuring stick to allow for improvement. You see many times we major
on the minors and wonder why we aren’t achieving the results we so desire.

Strong Divine Connection –
We need to feed our soul, body and our spirit and it is imperative
that you have a strong divine connection which for me and others on
this call is a God our Father and you must be committed to your
spiritual authority which would be God, your pastor and those of
you that are married your husbands. It’s about order and when you have order you will live a delicious life!

What is it? Passion. I don’t know how many women I’ve had a chance to
talk to, counsel, coach and mentor who often tell me I don’t have a
passion or they might say I have many things that I like but no passion
for any of them. And then some just simple ask how can I discover my
passion.

Finding your passion yields turbo-charged success.

"Follow your passion, and success will follow you." ~Arthur Buddhold

I’veoften told women that knowing your passion will fuel your motivation
and give you incredible energy. It also pushes you through crisis and
allows you to focus in the midst of crisis or any other time of your
life as mentioned in my special report “How to stay focused in crisis.!”

Knowing your passion and living your passion will attract your ideal clients to you.

Especially in terms of business/careerWhen talking about getting clear whether it's personal, spiritual or business itbegins with you. Many times we focus on the external when talking about ourbusiness/career when in essence the problem may lie internally.The first place I like to begin in a situation such as this is self discoveryor with a self assessment. Before we get clear we must know more about ourselves.Get clear on things such asWhat matters most to you?What are your limiting beliefs?What are your core values?This will also help in the endeavor to discover or rediscover your passion.And then there's focus. This is one area which can set you up forsabotage of your empowering success and that is a lack of focus. Savvy women's tips: Happy Valentine's Day? Where's the love?

OK ladies it's Valentine's day tomorrow and I know there are mixed emotions.
Included in this blog post on savvy women's tips I want to share some insight
on love and hopefully motivate you to look at your life in a different way.

Bravo!!!! To those of you who are already living this way.

The greatest love to we as Christians is Father God's love as He gave His
only son for us.

I'd like you to remember that, however, I'd also like to focus on you.
Yes, you. In the bible it says to love your neighbor as you love yourself,
however, all too many times that's the problem we don't love ourselves!!
Ladies until we can learn to love ourselves it doesn't matter one bit how
many brothas, fellas you have.

You will probably self sabotage every relationship because you are
counting on the man to fulfill you and "to make you happy!"

You must come to terms with how unique, how special how absolutely
incredible you are. You are a unique one of a kind gift from Father God.
He didn't make robots.

There is a song that was so-o-o-o very instrumental in my learning to
love myself and to feel good about myself. It was a song that Whitney
Houston sang very early in her career and some of the words said
"learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all."

You see when you love yourself you are less inclined to be intimidated
by those with more education, money, followers (smile) than you. A better
car, home, body than you might think that you have. You will be so confident
in who and whose you are that excuse me "none of it matters" enough to stop
or block you.

My gift to you is to challenge you to discover more about you.
Discover your core values, what makes you unique, what your purpose is.
And this savvy woman will help you live a delicious life with no apologies.

Empowerment is a choice and life is full of decisions and choices. The choices we make can either lead us down a road of prosperity “spirit, soul and body.” One thing to keep in mind is that prosperity is not just about money. There are also roads that lead to poverty, isolation and despair based on our decision and/or choice.As women we remain in limbo because there are so many decisions to make inour lives. We fill so many roles. Continue to read as I share tips for ajuicy manifestation of women's life empowerment!How do we know which choice to make, what decision will render the best result. What is the guarantee that we would choose the right one along the way?Step out and move forward. There are no guarantees. Keep this in mind whenendeavoring to realize life empowerment.You do not really know where a road will lead you until you take it. There are no guarantees. This is one of the most important things you need to realize about life. Nobody said that choosing to do the right thing all the time would always lead you to happiness. Loving someone with all your heart does not guarantee that it would be returned. Gaining fame and fortune does not guarantee happiness. There are too many possible outcomes, which you really cannot control. The only thing you have power over is the decisions that you will make, and how you would act and react to different situations.• Hindsight is 20/20Have you heard the cliché’ hindsight is always 20/20? Wrong decisions are always at hindsight. Had you known that you were making a wrong decision, would you have gone along with it? Perhaps not, why would you choose a certain path when you know it would get you lost? Why make a certain decision if you knew from the very beginning that it is not the right one. It is only after you have made a decision and reflected on it that you realize its soundness. One way to assess whether another a decision was correct or not is if the consequences or outcomes are good for you, then you have decided correctly. Otherwise, your decision was wrong.Seek wisdom. In the bible it says Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Proverbs 4:7• Arm yourself with as much information as you can about the situation.You cannot find the confidence to decide when you know so little about what you are faced with. Just like any news reporter, ask the 5 W’s: what, who, when, where, and why. What is the situation? Who are the people involved? When did this happen? Where is this leading? Why are you in this situation? These are just some of the possible questions to ask to know more about your situation. This is important. Oftentimes, the reason for indecision is the lack of information about a situation.• Identify and create options.What options do the situation give you? Sometimes the options are few, but sometimes they are numerous. But what do you do when you think that the situation offers no options? This is the time that you create your own. Make your creative mind work. From the most simplistic to the most complicated, entertain all ideas. Do not shoot anything down when an idea comes to your head. Sometimes the most outrageous idea could prove to be the right one in the end. You can ask a friend to help you identify options and even make more options if you encounter some difficulty, but make sure that you make the decision yourself in the end.Assess each option by looking at the advantages and disadvantages it offers you. In this way, you get more insights about the consequences of such an option. Weigh the pros and cons of every option.Now that you have assessed your options, it is now time to trust yourself. Remember that there are no guarantees and wrong decisions are always at hindsight. So choose… decide… believe that you are choosing the best option at this point in time.One more thing, never make a choice or decision in an angry mode. This is the worst time to make a decision. Move away from the situation and give yourself time to reflect and pray. These are the same women who so want toembrace the idea of women's empowerment. It is possibleto break free, however, as I say empowerment is a choice andso is breaking free from fear.What is fear?Fear is an emotional response to a perceived threat.It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in responseto a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger.Some psychologists such as John B. Watson, Robert Plutchik, andPaul Ekman have suggested that fear is one of a small set of basicor innate emotions. This set also includes such emotions as joy,sadness, and anger. Fear should be distinguished from the relatedemotional state of anxiety, which typically occurs without anyexternal threat. When I think about the trials and tribulations that I have been through, I know the one that that kept me going was the Word. So right now, I want to tell you to WORD UP! My mother and father would say, “What goes on in the house stays in the house.” Maybe your parents told you the same thing. So therefore, we grow up and become stingy. We don’t want to share. We say things like, “I don’t want anyone to know my business.” What business? Your business is somebody business because somebody has gone through you have been through. I recall having a conversation with a friend who said “Women should never go buy a car or furniture without a man.” Now for me that was some illogical thinking. With those beliefs and others we begin to lose sight of what is inside speaking to us and learn to listen to those individuals who believe they know what’s right for us. Let’s put them away forever and begin to listen to that inner spirit, that God spirit that says, “Whatever we want, need, or desire can be obtained.” Why? Because our Daddy, (yes, I like to call him Daddy) said so.The Bible talks about having FAITH as a small as a mustard seed and being able to say to a mountain move and it shall be moved. (Mat. 17:20). That’s some strong Faith. Well, I am here to tell you mothers, daughters, and sisterfriends, inside of you lives that same kind of faith. The minute you bring it to the surface, change will take place.Change takes place when you get sick and tired of being sick and tired. It takes place when you get tired of doing the same thing day in and day out. It takes place when you get tired of those temporary fixes. It takes place when your emotional bank balance becomes overdrawn. It takes place when you have grounded yourself spiritually and began having FAITH. Faith knows that whatever you ask for it shall be given to you. That’s called unshakeable, without doubts faith. My Grandmother~ An Empowering Woman

I was reading through my post in reply to Staci’s Wallace’s (Founder of Empowering Women's website) blog “Beyond the Vote” about what we are to do after Barack Obama's election to move into a place of action, and how I wrote about my Grandmother who was 83 and witnessed his election just two day prior, I am in tears. Just three days after Barack Obama was elected President, she was airlifted to a hospital in Atlanta and was placed on a ventilator after suffering not one but three brain aneurysms. My grandmother was my world. She taught me how to drive, she was there when I came on my period, she was my everything. I spent summers, and holidays with her so it was very difficult for me as I spent a week with her in the ICU watching her struggle to live and breath and then to watch her die, I am sad, in tears, grateful and just overwhelmed by this loss.My grandmother was a TRUE and ORIGINAL 'empowering woman'. She went to a historically black college (Clark Atlanta University) when few African Americans could even read and write let alone go to college. She told me months before she passed away that she had seen wonderful pioneers such as Mary McLeod Bethune and W.E.B. Dubois (was a professor at CAU at the time) walking around the her campus when she was a student. She graduated with a degree in education and taught elementary school for 37 years and even taught a second grade class of students during integration. Her marriage was very hard and my mom and aunts and uncles (6 children in all) say that he was a very difficult and unsupportive husband, but she still managed, to work, raise a family, be active in the church/community and make a way for her family. Despite all she dealt with in her life, she still managed to give back even in her later years. When I was in my early twenties, my grandmother helped teach a older woman in her church how to read, and she did this once a week over the phone. This woman was in her late sixties and had never learned to read, and my Grandma took it upon her self to teach her friend/church member something we take for granted in this day and age. They started with basic elementary school books and worked their way up to bible stories. What a precious gift she gave her friend.I struggle through my tears as it’s been a week or so since we buried her, but reading my post to Staci’s website, and actually going to visit my Grandmother on the day that we voted for Barack Obama (my last day to see her alive and functioning as normal), just sitting and talking with her about how she never thought she would see the day that an African American would be president and then to loose her so quickly, I am grateful. That my daughter’s who are 10 and 4 got to experience, love and be around their great grandmother is truly a blessing. They cried at her funeral because they would not see their precious “G.G” (Great Grandma) as they called her anymore. My Grandma Lucy was truly a woman of God, whenever I went to visit her throughout my whole life she always had a bible and devotional on her bed. You would think that after 80 years of life you wouldn’t need to study His word as much but she taught me that you always need God no matter how old you are. My Grandma was a strong, yet meek woman, always had a smile on her face and LOVED the Lord. She was active in her small country church in Georgia. In her dying days she could no longer smile, lift her arms or move her legs. So we, my mother and my aunt would read her, her favorite scriptures and sing her favorite hymn “What a friend we have in Jesus”. I could see only in her eyes that she heard every word and song that we sang.At her funeral her pastor said that she was truly a woman of God an empowering woman that inspired us all and he asked the audience who would take her place, who could she pass her baton to, who would fill her pew in the church. As I sat in the pews that I grew up in during my visits to my Grandma’s house, I realized that I would take her baton; it would be me that would carry on in her place. My dreams of inspiring girls and women are beyond what my Grandma could imagine in her time, she just wanted to teach young children. My dream is to empower and help girls/women to realize who they truly are and how special they are. I realize today, as I am sad by her loss, but encouraged by how much of an impact she had on me to make me be the woman that I am. To see how she raised my mom to be the beautiful and awesome woman that she is and how that trickles down through generations is truly amazing. So today I continue with my Grandma’s baton to lead the way to make a difference and influence generations to come.
