setting (23)

PRESS Release - Sacramento, CA February 10, 2014

Go For More in 2014!

It’s a sad fact that 50% of resolutions are given up on by February. You can change that.Whether you’re at the beginning of the year or mid year you’ve got to have a plan and move away from traditional resolutions to intentions and commitments attached to effecting goal setting and achievement.

Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more. Tony Robbins

It all begins with a decision. God’s gift to you is life and what you do with it is your gift back to Him. Go for more in 2014!

“Before working with Robin in the Make it Happen 30 days of Empowerment Coaching program, I was looking for a coach that could provide some guidance and directions with the goals that I wanted to achieve. After working with Robin I got more clarity on how to break down my goals and focus on the areas that I could strengthen. Then I could identify the areas that I needed to work on more in depth and now I have more confidence in pursuing the goals that I have set for bringing my Vision to reality. Robin has a great positive attitude and knows how to work with her clients to help them achieve maximum results. Thanks for all you do Robin and may God continue to Bless you and the GREAT work you do.” Monique Spence

Whether you want to improve your finances, health, life, relationships, spiritual growth, business or other you owe it to yourself to set aside time to design, create and manifest your ultimate “authentic” lifestyle now!

Are you frustrated with your goal setting endeavors?

Are you dealing with broken focus?

Maybe you’re a Christian woman in business, coach, author or speaker with a great vision but don’t know where to begin with planning and/or how to market your business via online marketing or social media.

Whatever the case may be it’s important that you know that having an overall ‪goal‬ or ‪clarity of vision‬ is vital to ‪success‬.

Is there really any benefit to setting goals?

Setting goals is a very significant part of success and positive accomplishments. People who set goals literally create a map of their target achievements in life, marking where they should begin, where to pause, where to delve a bit, and where and when to stop. Once this map is created, it allows the map drawer to check where he is in the scheme of things and whether or not he is making some achievements that will take him closer to his goals.

All great achievers have goals. You need to know exactly what you are working towards!

How to Redefine Success

Redefine Success

Over the years of me working in the Financial Services Industry as a Personal Banker, I have acquired the knowledge about how successful women think differently about themselves when it comes to viewing success. Women truly take it hard when they cannot meet the needs of there family, or when they don’t accomplish a set of goals. It is important to reevaluate our goals according to life’s happenings. Life is an on going cycle and we should adjust our goals around it. Your goals need to be changed every so often. Over the years as an entrepreneur, I have personally re-evaluated my goals and redesigned my brand in alignment with my beliefs. As the year come to an close it is important for you to take the time out to re-evaluate your goals in your life and business. I have provided you with a few ways on how you can get started with evaluating your goals. Make sure you allow yourself room for change and don’t forget to give yourself permission to change them as your circumstances change.

1)      Evaluate your Intention

Set time aside to determine your real intention. Successful people that I have come to know of have an intention. Set the right intention for accomplishing what you desire. Setting the right intention will keep you on track to completing your desire goal.

2)      Evaluate your Mindset

Your thoughts have the power to become things; so you truly want to set yourself up for success, simply by jotting down on paper positive words, which you are going to implement in your life. You want to surround yourself with other positive people. Keep a positive mindset free from debilitating beliefs that may cause your thoughts to control you.

3)      Evaluate your Desire

All of the successful people that I have come to know. Truly had a burning desire to be and do more. Ultimately, it is that desire that will wake you up in the wee hours of the morning, while half the world sleeps just so you can get a task completed. This desire that I am talking about is necessary in order to complete a goal. Know your why.

4)        Evaluate your Biz and Life

Set aside a moment to Evaluate your progress. Look at where you’ve been and where you want to go. Make sure that where you want to go is in alignment with your purpose. Always remember it is not a sprint; it’s a journey. Visualize where you want to be in the next 90 days and write it down.

4 Reasons to Set Fabulous Goals

(From my book, How to Change Your Mindset + Live Your Most Fabulous Life)

Goal setting is the first step in successful goal achievement. If you don’t set goals, the other steps in achieving them can’t happen. A few reasons you need goals:

  1. They provide clarity on your vision. By not having goals in life, you’ll just be running around without ever accomplishing anything for yourself. You first have to create what you want in your mind (by setting the goal), and then your desires can become a reality.
  2. Goals give you one focal point to concentrate on. While your vision and purpose gives you a wide focus, your goals provide laser focus on what, exactly, you need to spend your energy and time on.
  3. They move you forward. They represent the inner desires that motivate you and are what push you to keep going when things get rough.
  4. Goals help you become the best version of yourself (your most Fabulous you!). They can help you reach your highest potential, and without them, you subject yourself to the normal, daily actions that make you feel comfortable and safe. And while those actions may feel good, they keep you from growing and don’t allow you to be the best you that you can be.

Have a goal you want to achieve but need assistance getting started? Or, do you need someone to hold you accountable for taking action on your goals? Goal-getter Sessions are for you! Learn more here, or email me: coaching (at) jamieflemingdixon (dot) com.

Smart women understand that setting clear goals create a road map to follow and drastically increase chances of success in business. Regardless to where you are in your business cycle, the success of it is dependent on long and short term goals you’ve set and how a roadmap to getting there. What goals have you set for your business? Better yet, what actions have you taken toward accomplishing them? If you are not sure, here are 5 P’s of successful goal setting.

Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.” Tom Landry, football coach

PASSION

Why is passion an important ingredient in business? Starting and running a business is extremely challenging. It takes endless time and attention. When you absolutely love what you do, then you will be able to face every uphill battle to overcome difficult obstacles as you work your way to the top. That passion will enable you to see your goals to the end.

PRIORITIZE

Women are notorious for putting others first, especially their family and business. Unfortunately, doing so often causes stress, exhaustion or illness… if you are not careful!

Taking care of you should be priority! In setting your goals, it should be first about you, and then your family and business. Ultimately, you are in control of the ‘how, when, where and why’ of achieving your goals. Your goals must align, personally and professionally.

PLAN

If you take a road trip and fail to plan your route, how likely will you reach your intended destination? Just as planning your route is critical; determining what goals you want to implement and creating a plan to review and measure progress is also.

Your goals need to be specific and attainable. Just saying you want ten new clients in the next six months is not enough? A great way to measure your progress is by implementing SMART Goals. SMART Goals is a simple tool used by businesses to formulate an actionable plan for results. SMART illustrates the 5 characteristics of an efficient objective:

  • S- specific
  • M - measurable
  • A – attainable
  • R – realistic
  • T – timely

PERSISTENCE

Persistence is the key to success in business. It is the ability to remain steadfast when faced with adversity or opposition. Accomplishing your goals require consistent action. It’s easier said than done… but you must remain tenacious and push ahead! If you make a habit of tracking your progress and achievements so you can see how much closer you're getting with every step forward.

For example, instead of setting a goal to increase your internet marketing presence, you might want to list several specific ways you plan to do so, such as:

Pod casting: delivered via an RSS FEED and available via audio content.

RSS Feeds: Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an easy way to send information directly to online subscribers without using e-mail.
Article Marketing: Short articles written pertaining to industry related to a website. Articles are syndicated on the web and contain a back link to the website.
Press Releases: submitted to journalists in order to encourage them to develop articles on the subject.
PROFIT

Ultimately, people are in business to make a profit. This is extremely important for the health of your business. As a new or growing business, you need to be diligent about your finances. Some experts suggest reviewing your profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports on a monthly basis. In addition, hiring a CPA or bookkeeper can be a wise investment.

Assess your present expenditures and establish goals that take into consideration your short and long-term financial objectives. Here are 3 helpful tools:

Goal Tracking Tools

  • Goals On Track - This goal tracking software does so much more than just assist in tracking your goals. It will help you prioritize, visualize and stay focused on what matters most.
  • 43 Things - An online tool to help you track your goals as well as motivate you through fellow member recommendations.
  • Joe’s Goals - An easy to use and extremely efficient online tool that is great for tracking your everyday goals.
  • Lifetick - a web based software that brings together goal setting and achievement like you've never seen before through its intuitive and easy to understand process.

In closing, goal setting is vital to remain successful and competitive. Your goals are extremely crucial to your roadmap to business success!

7 Basic Tips for Effective Goal Setting

By ShaChena Gibbs

Many new entrepreneurs do not set realistic goals. We get so excited and want to do so much so fast.  Moving too quickly allows us to miss some important steps. Effective goal setting in business building is one of the keys to a successful business.

Setting goals in your personal and professional life is extremely important if you have intention on succeeding.

Setting goals is not something that is difficult to do. You just really need to be committed to doing what is needed to get the task done.

When I set goals I just think about why am I setting these goals and what do I want my end result to be. Then I get started with my simple basic steps.

Tips for Managing Goal Setting Worksheets

Creating your short and long-term goals will provide you with a roadmap to success. Keep these tips in mind when creating your goals.

1. Visualize your goal and success of the long-term ultimate goals – plant it firmly in your mind as you begin creation of the actions required.

2. Evaluate and consider your resources, skills, and abilities. Determine where there may be a lack of ability or skills and determine how to compensate for this deficit.

3. Make sure the actions are clear and concise. Break them down into smaller steps for greater success.

4. Use positive words in your actions and steps. Positive-thinking has a powerful impact on our ability to succeed. A “self-fulfilling” prophecy, which means we become what we think we can become, is important to remember when creating a goal setting worksheet.

5. Use affirmative words in action plans. Don’t say “I think I will complete the research by April 15”, or “I want to…..”. Instead, use affirmative statements such as “Complete the market research on potential niche products by April 15.”

6. Create relevant actions that will help you achieve your goals.

7. Monitor your actions and deliverables frequently.

8. Create ticklers or calendar alerts to remind you of pending due dates. Don’t wait until the action is due to evaluate progress.

9. Set reminders on your calendar or email to remind you to accomplish certain actions or steps along the way. It’s impossible to keep track of everything in your head and this can sabotage your efforts if you don’t have an organized plan to manage actions towards goals.

10. Plan the necessary steps towards your ultimate goals and monitor them frequently!

Creating a goal setting worksheet is a tremendous asset to you in your professional goal setting strategy and creating your online or offline business.

It gives you the tools, steps, and actions needed to succeed. Once you have a clearly defined goal setting worksheet with achievable, challenging action steps, you’ll be on your way to entrepreneurial success!

Achieving Your 2011 Goals

10744058258?profile=original

At the start of each New Year many people make resolutions that by the middle of the year, sometimes sooner, are all but forgotten. So how do you make good on the momentum you have on that fresh start that the New Year brings? I recommend that my clients take different approach this year, which is to try setting just one or two major goals and put all your energy and resources into achieving those goals. Trying to fix everything in life all at once and is just not doable.

I'm including a Plan A Goal Development and Action Planning Worksheet below which you may use to help you achieve your 2011 goals. This is a tool I am also putting. This way my clients will know that I've 'gotten a taste my own medicine' and it works.

GOAL DEVELOPMENT AND ACTION PLANNING

GOAL (be specific about what you hope to achieve):

How will I know that I am improving? What is my feedback plan?

What obstacles might get in the way of my progress? What can I do to diminish them?

What strengths do I currently have that will help me reach this goal?

What support do I need? From whom might I need support, partnership, coaching, mentoring, or advocacy?

What resources do I need to be successful (financing, technical support, etc.)?

What will success look and feel like?

Please feel free to let me know how you will use this tool and to provide feedback on its usefulness as you do. Here’s to wishing you all the best on Living Your Plan A in 2011!

Empowering last words of 2010

I shared the following on Facebook and wanted to also share them with you. Ending on number 8 wasn't intentional, however, it all worked out
quite well if I can say so myself. Enjoy!

Empowering last words of 2010: #1 Although there are great blueprints, systems, formulas and 12 steps to follow never forget to keep God in your plans
(actually at the head). There is nothing new under the sun and you are
empowered to create because you have the creator within you. Creating
innovative systems, blueprints with your unique design inspired by God's
wisdom. Remember "Wisdom tells knowledge what to do!"

Empowering last words of 2010 #2 Want to Supercharge your entrance into 2011?
Cultivate an attitude of gratitude regardless of what wasn't
accomplished in 2010. Start a gratitude journal (If you don't have one)
Post at least 5 things you're grateful for Thursday and Friday Morning.
Give it an extra power-boost with evening posts on Thursday and Friday.
Your attitude determines your altitude. Continue & Soar in 2011!

Empowering last words of 2010 #3 Is there any unfinished business you need to
close before you enter 2010. Phone calls you need to make?Forgiveness
you need to impart? It's important that you make peace for complete
healing of your soul even if they've gone on."Unforgiveness is the
poison one takes expecting the other person to die." Author (Young man
from Africa) "Forgive, let go and live!"(c) My long awaited book

Empowering last words of 2010 #4 Have you heard this? Some things never change?
There may be some validity to that , however, if you're going to move
ahead and realize empowering success you must change your response,
change your actions. You'd be surprised how this defuses many negative
situations. Besides it's essential to stressed-less living.
#stressed-less

Empowering last words for 2010 # 5 Although we're anxiously awaiting 2011 I am not
one to take any day that God gives for granted. God's gift to us is
life & what we do with it is our gift to HIM. So.... maximize every
moment through 2011. 2010 is not gone yet & if you read the
obituaries you'll see many that thought the same & didn't make it to
2011. Celebrate & be thankful for every day while making plans for
2011.

Empowering last words of 2010 #6 Remember: As we remember those gone on in 2010,
good times, sad times, challenging times we take from each the lessons God
allowed us to see and learn, the gratitude of being blessed with those
gone on to be part of our lives and celebration of the victories. As we
move forward in 2011 cherish the love of family & friends when times
seem challenging remember How Faithful God has been.

Empoweringlast words of 2010 #7 Set Intentions and Expect - When you set
intentions you aren't preoccupied w/ the how as much as the desired
result. Set your intentions for the New Year & then Expect. There is
power in expectation. Expect to receive,to be empowered to manifest
your desired results through systems designed to help you chart your
course. Connect w/ an accountability partner. Co-Partner w/ God!

Empowering last words of 2010 #8
The
# 8 stands for New beginnings. I didn't know how many ELW of 2010 I
would write, however, somehow I've ended here. The last words "Celebrate
New Beginnings!" We are entering into a new year with it's own path
that we each have for our lives. Go with God. Stand strong. Fear-less
and Faith-full. There is nothing you cannot do with God on your side.
wish you Peace, Love and Joy. A prosperous New Year!!

Happy New Year!

Know God Know Peace

No God, No Peace

You shall go out with joy,
And be led out with peace:
The mountains and the hills
Shall break forth into singing before you,
And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Isaiah 58:12

I don’t know about you but that sounds soooo good, refreshing and rejuvenating.

In my earlier years of marriage I may have desired to win the creative, intense fellowship
(argument) (smile).

I had more energy to exert and my mind was just a little bit clearer. It seemed that I didn’t understand
the value of a peaceful environment.

When a value is not placed on a thing you tend to abuse it. You also don’t guard it to make sure that
it is healthy.

Well ladies I learned that I would rather have my peace than to live in an environment of strife and discord (which God hates) more than winning any battles that will take it away.

I look at it like this, more evenings with my husband and family makes me rich. Rich in the creation of positive memories. Rich in increased vitality and health to my bones because I am notsetting myself up to become resentful and/or bitter and rich because myenvironment is peaceful allowing me to create and receive insights andrevelation from my Father God through Holy Spirit as I’m in Hispresence cultivated by a peaceful environment.

I truly believe that it allows for activation of His word that states that He teaches us to profit and He gives us witty ideas andinventions. Peace can open the lines of His Divine intervention.

Strive for a peaceable life and you will realize a Rich life!

Empowering you,

Robin aka The Empowerment Diva

Savvy women and Woman Entrepreneur’s Productivity tips: The To do list reborn and Batching

We’ve all heard of the 10 things to do list.

The problem with this is that you end up with 10 humongous tasks which all require attention of their own.

I’d like to call this The to do list reborn. When making up your to do list don’t just jot down 10 things on the list Put the items of highest priority at the top. You don’t want to have a list of 10 things
to do. You want to narrow it down because you’re going to add some
action steps or mini goals.

It’s important that you do this activity correctly if you want to achieve the highest results.

I share this in the Make it Happen "30 days of Empowerment” mentoring program. You’ll discover how to get Big results faster than you have before.

Another productivity tip is what is called batching.

Pull out your new and improved To-Do list. Look it over and I I’m sure you’ll see some commonalities and patterns. You might find there are types of tasks that are all performed similarly.

How are they similar? Maybe you complete these tasks while you’re in the same mindset or while using the same equipment. They might be tasks that are call-related, tasks that need to be done in the same software
on the computer, tasks that require extended thinking, etc.

By grouping these tasks together, you can save transition time between activities – and, of course, get more done in less time. These are the types of tasks that are perfect for batching:

Tasks that occur or can be scheduled in the same physical location. By grouping tasks in the same environment together, you save time moving back and
forth. For instance, if you’re meeting a client downtown, arrange
several other meetings in the same general area.

Other ideas: Mailing/shipping at the post office, doctor’s appointments, running errands, even daily tasks in your house (when you’re in the kitchen cooking breakfast, put away the dishes in the
dishwasher, too).

These are just a few of the productivity tips that I’ll also share in my upcoming Make it Happen “30 days of Empowerment” Mentoring program.

This post is an excerpt from my free call You Empowered! Simple secrets to conquering overwhelm.

For a limited time you can request my free gift audio replay download of this call only. On this call I also share one thing that can be attributed to weight gain, overwhelm and
chronic disease and more!

Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must
fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act.
There is no other route to success.

~Stephen A. Brennan~

Do you have goals for your life and business?

I'm sure you do. Are you achieving any of your goals?

Even when you've set a "good" goal - you can run into some

challenges along the way... namely, motivation. Without motivation,

even the most ambitious person will get sidetracked. Here are the strategies that
will keep you on track to achieving your goals:

Write it down

It's one thing to set a goal and yet another to write it down.

You're making a step towards committing to your goal when

you write it down. I know it seems obvious, however, you'd be

surprised at how many individuals

don't complete this step.

Determine what achieving this goal will do for you

Give life to your goals. Write down what it will mean or what it

will do for you to achieve this goal. Visualize it and write it down.

Place yourself in the moment. This is also a key to manifesting

your goals.

Focus on success.

Being overcome by negative thoughts or "what if" scenarios can spell
disaster, even death, to your goals. When you start out by finding a
million ways why your plans won't work, your energy is getting diverted
to dealing with failure that hasn't even happened!

Instead of funneling your time and resources into negative thoughts and
processes, make the decision that you're not going to entertain any
ideas of failure. If it happens, it happens. You don't have to spend
your precious resources worrying about it now.

"What you focus on expands." ~ Author unknown

Chart your progress.

A great motivation is to create a visual graphic to represent your
progress towards your goal. Think of those thermometers that elementary
schools place outside on a busy road, measuring how close they are to
achieving their fund-raising goal for the new community pool or
library. A similar, physical chart that you can update with progress
will do wonders to keep your attention focused.

When you're doing this step, think outside the box. If you're trying to
spend more time at the gym, why not post a map of the US on your wall,
and draw an inch from one coast to the other for each hour you spend on
the treadmill? Visual reminders are fun ways to keep your goals in the
forefront of your mind.

Don't be afraid to ask for help or turn to an expert for advice.

Some individuals feel guilty about asking for help or admitting that they
need help. Or you may think that you need to do everything on your own.
Nothing could be further from the truth! Alcoholics Anonymous has
sponsors, Michael Phelps has a coach, and Jack Welch had an advisory
board. No one has to be alone in their goal-setting efforts. Trying to
eat healthier? Nutritionists will help you fine-tune your diet. Working
out to get fit? Trainers will help you find the most effective
exercises to achieve your physical goals. Trying to get clear on your
vision, goals and stay focused or maybe even get unstuck? Coaches such
as

myself can assist you in this area.

There are business mentors and coaches who can help you figure out social

Getting Ready to Get Ready

Are you getting ready to get ready?

I’m sure that several of you have heard this expression before. Today was the first time that I used it myself. As soon as the words departed my lips I knew that I needed to take my own advice.

I was speaking to a prospective student over the phone. The woman on the phone, was one that I’d spoken with several times in the last year. Every few months she calls the school, asks when classes will be starting. Sometimes she even makes an appointment to come in and complete some part of the enrollment process. Most times though, she would call back a day or two later with some excuse. “Too busy. I need to look for a part time job. I need to wait until the kids are on vacation. I need to wait until the kids are back in school.” So, this time when I saw her name come up on the caller id on my desk I answered, “Hi, Jane Doe, are still getting ready to get ready?”

We all have something that we keep putting off. Something that could really change our lives if only we could get started. When I started to look at my list of “dreams deferred,” writing was on the top of that list. I have been researching blogs. Reading other people’s blogs downloading ebooks on how to write them, but kept putting it off. I even told myself that I needed to wait until I reviewed some grammar books and I bought a few of those too. But then, the lights came on. I was using the excuses to cover up my fear. I was getting ready to get ready and in the mean time not a single thing was getting done.

STOP GETTING READY TO GET READY!

While you were reading this, your list of excuses probably started to go through your mind. You probably thought of at least 5 things that you’ve been putting off because of fear. The vacation you’ve never taken. That dance class you thought about. The classes you were going to start. The novel you said you’d write. Write them all down. Find the one thing on that list that really scares you. The one with the most “legitimate,” excuses and do that one first.

I did. I finally stopped getting ready to get ready and I started writing this blog.

We all have habits, some good and some not so good. These are behaviors that we've learned and that occur almost automatically. And most of us have a habit we'd like to break, or one we'd like to develop.

For most people, it takes about four weeks for a new behavior to become routine, or habit. The following steps can make it easier to establish a new behavior pattern.

1. The first step is to set your goal. Especially when you are trying to stop or break a habit, you should try to phrase your goal as a positive statement. For example, instead of saying "I will quit snacking at night", say "I will practice healthy eating habits". You should also write down your goal. Commiting it to paper helps you to commit. It can also help if you tell your goal to someone you trust.

2. Decide on a replacement behavior. (If your goal is to develop a new habit then your replacement behavior will be the goal itself.) This step is very important when you are trying to break a habit. If you want to stop a behavior, you must have a superior behavior to put in it's place. If you don't, the old behavior pattern will return.

3. Learn and be aware of your triggers. Behavior patterns don't exist independently. Often, one habit is associated with another part of your regular routine. For instance, in the snacking example the trigger may be late night television or reading. You automatically grab a bag of chips while you watch. Many people who smoke automatically light up after eating. Think about when and why you do the thing you want to quit.

4. Post reminders to yourself. You can do this by leaving yourself notes in the places where the behavior usually occurs. Or you can leave yourself a message on the mirror, refrigerator, computer monitor or some other place where you will see it regularly. You can also have a family member or co-worker use a particular phrase to remind you of your goal.

5. Get help and support from someone. This is kind of obvious. Any job is easier with help. It works even better if you can form a partnership with someone who shares the same goal.

6. Write daily affirmations. Write your phrase or sentence in the present tense (as if it were already happening), and write it ten times a day for twenty-one days. This process helps make your goal a part of your subconscious, which will not only remind you to practice the new behavior, but it also keeps you focused and motivated.

7. Reward yourself for making progress at set time intervals. Focus on your goal one day at a time, but give yourself a small treat at one, three and six months. The rewards don't have to be big or expensive, and you should try to make it something that's associated in some way with the goal. Doing this provides you with both incentive and extra motivation.

Following these steps is no guarantee of success of course. Depending on the habit it may take several tries to finally make the change. But if you stick with it, you can do it. Good Luck.

It's already been stated that one critical thing to your breakthrough is to make the right mindset shifts.

Andone of those shifts is a shift to a success mindset. I've sharedessential keys to mindset breakthroughs, the importance of a successmindset and today I want to share one of the hindrances to a successmindset. One hindrance is that of not being aware of fatal distractionsand being overcome by fatal distractions.

One hindrance to a success mindset is that of not being aware of fatal distractions and being overcome by fatal distractions.

The following are the definitions as found in the dictionary.

Fatal: a: causing death b: bringing ruin c: causing failure

Distraction: a: the act of distracting or the state of being distracted; especially: mental confusion

Wecould say that it represents bringing ruin to our mental focus. Anotherway to look at it is causing death and mental confusion with regard toa desired outcome, destination, etc.

Let's move on and I'd like to present another view of fatal distraction.

Onetypo, two typos, three typos, four? This was the pattern that followedas I continued to read. It was a good book, something that wouldbenefit my spirit man tremendously. I felt like I was being lifted, challenged, restored and then it happened.... The power of the readingwas diluted and my attention was drawn to the errors. I'm not sayingthis to draw attention to the errors found in books or other readingsas now you may look for errors in this article. (smile).

When Isaw the first one it wasn't a big deal, then the second one and I saidto myself wow two on one page. I turned the page and saw yet anotherand actually stopped to make sure the error was there.

What wasthis? Why am I so interested in the errors that are here? It wasn't theerrors I was interested in it was a fatal distraction. The word fatalmeans "causing or ending in death." There is definite opposition to oursuccess and the goal to make sure that we die spiritually and/orphysically. You will be presented with distractions the bottom line isthat many are meant to be fatal. It took me sometime to stop what I wasdoing to refresh myself with devotion, devotion that would give lifeand refresh my vision.

Watch out for fatal distractions. Don'tlet distractions break your focus or intercept your endeavor to makemindset shifts. Being consumed by fatal distractions can send negativeenergy to your subconscious mind.

Maybe you're trying to getclear on your goals, vision and purpose you must do whatever is neededto overcome the fatal distractions that will come. Defuse the power ofthe opposition to your endeavours.

When you pray turn off theringer on the phone if you must. Have devotions at the time of daywhere there is the least traffic going through your home.

Howmany fatal distractions have you been presented with? Is Father Godtrying to get you to the next level and can't because you aredistracted by altercations that seem to occur often? Is He trying towarn you of your lack of spiritual development but you are beingdistracted by your commitment to your job and the promotion that mayfinally be realized? Maybe there is a witty idea and invention that istrying to be made available to you and yet you are more focused onanother situation. Block the distraction! Press in, stay close, anddraw nigh to Father God. Realize a mindset shift to success by beingaware of and overcoming fatal distractions.

Are you dealing with dis-empowering behaviours? Want to unstop the blockage to your empowering success?

Maybeyou'd like to remove the emotional baggage, phobias, and toxicbehaviors from your life. Are you afraid that you will succumb to yournegative thoughts and self talk? I know you long to be free to live themost delicious abundant life available to you. Did you know that toxicbehavior and thoughts can also induce unhealthy habits, weight gain andchronic illnesses. These behaviors are at the root of your lack ofpersonal, spiritual and business success.

Q: What is your most pressing question where it concerns your

personal, spiritual and business empowerment?

A: Transitioning from my old self, with those limiting beliefs, to who I truly am.

The first place you want to begin is what I call awareness. In this step
you need to take inventory of your limiting beliefs. You can identify them
without placing them in categories and after you've identified some of them
you can then categorize them in the money, education, career, faith and
other category. Don't get too caught up on this simply jot down what comes
to mind.

Why do you have those limiting beliefs?

What steps can you add that will assist you in overcoming your limiting
beliefs?

Another key factor is your mindset. I won't go deep into this, however,
a lot of our success is sabotaged by our mindset and you would do good
to discover what your mindset is and make the necessary shifts.

You can do this on your own or enlist the help of a coach such as myself
who are equipped with various tools and experience to support you in
this endeavor.

In order to know where you're going you must know where you are.
This is also true where it concerns evolving to who you truly are.
Make sure you are clear on who you are. What are your core values?
What is your purpose? Vision?

All of the above will support your endeavor towards transitioning from
your old self to who you truly are.

The steps mentioned above are supported by my Dream Launch
eCoaching program.

New Year...New Strategy

Out with the old, in with the new is a term you often hear as we leave one year and enter the next. If only it was that easy. The truth is, it takes more than a clock striking twelve, a kiss with a love one or few fireworks to change a current challenging circumstance.Whether you are looking to change a business practice or personal situation, it is going to take a lot of work and much planning accomplish that dream or goal. Is your problem lack of focus? Motivation? Commitment? What are you going to do differently in 2010?I heard a powerful statement from a family member. He said, "Choose to make adjustments in your personal, mental and spiritual disciplines." You have to make a conscious decision to change. Yes, there may have been outside factors in your life that caused you to get off track. BUT you can either continue to waste time dwelling on what was or wasn't or you can make a CHOICE to let it go and move forward. It is up to you. Are you ready to pursue that dream of owning a home? Is starting your own business on the list? What steps do you need to take to make those dreams a reality? Here are a few tips to get you started.Write the VisionThere is a saying in the bible that says without a vision the people perish (Proverbs). Dreams keep you alive. If you have nothing to look forward to, you will just be. I encourage you to get a journal (or dust off the one you already have) and outline what you want to do. Be very specific. If you want to change careers, write what that career will be. If you want to increase your income, write down how much you want it to be.The key to this is that you write what ever it is with authority. Use words like I am going to, or I will make, etc. Writing the vision serves a few purposes. It allows you to see what is in your mind and becomes more real. You can also share it with one or two people that you trust, so they can hold you accountable. But be very selective in choosing who that person will be. Not everyone will believe in your vision.Research, Research, ResearchOne mistake many eager entrepreneurs make is that they do not conduct enough research in the project, career or business they are trying to get into. If you are looking to quit your corporate job and become a home based business, you need to establish a transition plan that includes having a start up budget. What will your home-based business be? What is going to be your niche? Who is doing what you would like to do already and could they be a mentor to you in some way? These are just a few things to consider, but no matter what you are trying to do, be prepared to put in many hours of research. As you establish a foundation, you will see the benefits of this preparation in the long run.Connect with Like-Minded PeopleIt is very very important to surround yourself with people who are looking to succeed and working in their passion. You need to be around people that are positive and excited about their gifts and talents. Friends and family can be great, but they can also be dream destroyers.Join groups that cater to the type of work or idea you are looking to do. If you enjoy event planning, go on Facebook, Linkedin, Yahoo Groups or some other sites that may host groups dedicated to that field. You will gain a tremendous amount of insight as you look to venture out on your own. Ask questions and don't be afraid to join into discussions. You may connect with a future colleague or client!Knowledge is PowerAs you move through the above steps and begin to get a solid idea on what you are doing and where you would like to go with it, keep your knowledge and skills up to date. Sign up for some training course, subscribe to online ezines or blogs that cater to your topic of interest. If paying for a course is not in your present budget-no worries, the internet has a host of free information for you to help keep you in the loop! For example, using a tool like Google Blog Search will give you the most current information for whatever it is you need to know.Following these simple steps are a sure way to help put you on the track of success in this new year.Natasha RubinVirtual Assistant/Social Media Marketing ProfessioanlOwner of Gifted Assistant Management Serviceshttp://www.thegiftedasssistant.netFacebook: http://www.facebook.com/giftedassistantLinkedin: http://www.linkedin.com/in/natasharubinFollow me:http://www.twitter.com/giftedassistant
