With just a few days left until the end of the month, as well as April being Financial Literacy month.   I thought it was very ironic to hear a recent radio advertisement announcing that certain individuals should take part in a great program being given by creditors; it’s called “The Credit Amnesty Program”.  This advertisement was encouraging people who have credit scores as low as 480, to come and apply for INSTANT CREDIT no one is turned down.  Lie!!!!!, this is the biggest gimmick and it’s been around for years it just has a new name, but the financial shackles are the same for individual with bad credit.  Why because the people who buy into these tactics are given interest rates as high as 18% or higher, the debt these individuals accumulate is designed for them not to pay if off which in turn many of these people will default on their debt.  I recently did a webinar regarding “What impacts Your Credit” during this webinar I showed the cost comparison of a credit worthy consumer and an unworthy credit consumer.  Take a look:

Here is an example of the cost of a $20,000 car loan over 5 years:

Prime 680 or higher score - Interest rate 7%, Payment $405, Total Cost after 5 years $24,300

Sub prime 500 - 619 Interest rate 14%, Payment $477, Total Cost after 5 years $28,620

Jilted 500 or below – Interest rate 21%, Payment $557, Total Cost after 5 years $33,420

As you can see in this example there no advantages of being an unworthy credit consumer, you may be able to buy material purchases but the consumer with bad credit pays a big price at the end.  Don’t buy into the hype, educate yourself.

Thanks to Lashanda Henry I am back on my grind for my business.  A few weeks ago I purchased the 40+ audio series from her and it is so worth the money.  Instead of overwhelming myself  with the wealth of info that she gives I decided to marinate on one concept at a time and then move on to the next when I feel comfortable; which has been working for me.  Anywho, I just graduated from learning about email advertising.  After checking out all of the companies that she suggested I decided to go with Mad Mimi because they looked to be very user friendly.  To my surprise I got that and then some for $8 per month.   The other day I sent out my first email with Mad Mimi and the service is super easy to use, the templates look good and I get to track my email effort by a built analytics program, which shows me how many people opened my email, how many people forwarded my email, how many people unsubscribed to my email and how many people have  yet to open my email.  I am thankful to Lashanda for bringing this to my attention and I an thankful for Mad Mimi for making this aspect of my advertising easy and inexpensive.  I highly recommend this service.

To the cloud! Sounds like the Microsoft commercial right? Umm, excuse me Microsoft.... what cloud are you speaking of?

Cloud computing is the new form of "shared" working options. For small businesses, this can be an in-expensive way for their business to operate and share information with staff and end-users. Just like the different types of actual clouds, you have options when it comes to the virtual cloud that you select for your business. 

Microsoft offers the following services to its msn.com users:

• Email
• Document sharing
• Instant Messaging
• Calendar and Task tracking
• Blogging services
• Photo Sharing Services

Using Windows Live for your business can be a great way to share information and access your information on the go, however it does has its limitations. 

Google offers a great FREE option for small business owners that are looking for a way to cut the cost of in-office computing. MTS has fully integrated the majority of googles productivity tools into our business operations. With googlee we get the to use these great tools to share information and always be in contact whether in or out of the office:

• google docs (my personal favorite of all the apps)
• google voice
• google calendar
• blogger
• youtube

• google talk

I could keep going but the list is endless. The one key component that makes Google stand out from the rest is the fact that all of their services integrate with one another which allows for seamless integration of all their software into your business operations. Your gmail username and password will give you access to all of the great features that google has to offer and you can also link/connect with other google users. 

For us, at MTS, it is important to be able to share docs, have an virtual office calendar, task list and easy email. The best part for us is that we can access all of our information on the go and all of our Gooogle docs can be donwloaded into a MS format so transition from "The Cloud" to our actual pc is easy and painless. 

I know, it sounds like an advetisement for google, but it really is just a great resource for small business owners, that is free.

This morning I was awakened way before my scheduled interruption. It was about 4 o'clock AM. After tossing and turning, I was unable to go back to sleep. So me being the person that I am filled with such "bright" ideas, I made the decision to go to the gym. A decision that I have not made in a very, very long time, but this morning I persuaded myself.

While at the Gym, I was exposed......exposed to the treadmill, exposed to the elliptical machine, the ab machine, weights, etc.... Well you get the picture, right?

So my question to you today is; Are you at risk of being exposed?

For most of us it is a daunting task to allow ourselves to step outside of our comfort zones. We spend countless hours repeating our same habits and rituals and it doesn't even cross our minds to try something different. Last night after teaching my third class in a three part series, during my Q&A session, several of my students began to share things about themselves and their experiences.

Let me first tell you that my classes are always very diverse. I have all races as well as various types of industries that attend the sessions. During an attempt to better explain his point, one of my students, used the analogy of scuba diving. Immediately other students in my class began to cut in and let him know that they could not relate to what he was talking about. I myself, could not relate either because I have never been scuba diving. I have never been "exposed" to it.  My lack of exposure is based solely on my lack of interest in the sport and not in my lack of ways of exposure.  Sure, I have many friends that take part in the sport on a regular basis, but because it does not interest me....I do not participate.

For the things in life that truly interest me, I have made it a point and a goal to gain as much exposure to them as possible.  It may be by way of surfing the internet, reading books, taking classes, etc.  By any means necessary, I have decided that I will be exposed to the things that interest me most. Your source exposure depends heavily upon you and your actions.

Now for many, they have interests that they have not even begun to act upon even though a way of exposure is directly put into their paths.  It's easy to find an excuse or a way to remain in the same position rather than to step out of the comfort zone and change lanes.  It's time to release yourself of your fears and allow yourself to be exposed.

The time for change is now.  Change doesn't happen until you make the decision to change and exhort the energy needed to make it happen.  Stop using the same old habits to try and make a new ending.  It is not going to happen.  You must travel a new route on your path to a new ending. 

Here's a few tips; on your way home from work, try another route.  You may discover that it may get you there quicker.  If you are used to wearing a certain color palette, switch to one that you have been afraid to try.  You may discover that those colors accent you alot better than the ones you've been comfortable with in the past.  If you and your family don't all sit down to eat dinner at the same time, try to set a time and a place for everyone to sit down and eat together for a couple of days out of the week.  You may discover some things about each other that you did not know. If you don't go outside of a 10 mile radius of your home for your regular errands and leisure... try going at least past a 20 mile radius... you may find a new restaurant or store that you can now call your favorite.  I'm sure that you get my point.

Stop being afraid of being exposed to bigger and better things.  Step outside of your comfort zone.  Open yourself up to view the world in a different light.  They say that you don't miss anything that you never had...but I beg to differ.  It is definitely possible to miss out on the finer things in life because you are too afraid to branch out and take advantage of what this world has to offer.

When I first began my journey as a network marketer, I was exposed to many challenges. The most prevalent of those challenges was my own inability to conform from the mindset of an employee into the mindset of a CEO. Although I had the desires to run my own company and build a successful organization, there were still parts of me that were engrained with the employee mentality. 

I half-wittingly did some of the things that I was being taught by the top earners of the company, but I was arrogant enough to think that I could do a lot of it on my own and not follow the map being laid out for me. So, needless to say, I was initially unsuccessful in my business. After watching my up-lines continuously receive large checks, I quickly learned that systems are placed for a very specific reason. S.Y.S.T.E.M = (Save Your Self Time Energy and Money). It’s that simple! Once I was able to grab hold of that concept, there was no stopping me. 

For many people that I have spoken with about network marketing their initial thoughts are that it is a pyramid as to where only the people at the top actually make any money. I then explain to them that although it can be considered a pyramid in some aspect, everything is a pyramid to some degree. The corporate world is actually more of a pyramid than any other organization if you were to really break it down. 

I think that what most people don’t initially realize about network marketing is that once you become a network marketer, you are immediately at the top of that pyramid and have placed yourself in a position of leadership. You then build your organization down. So, it is in your best interest to build a downline of great leaders or at least people with leadership potential, because if you yourself are a great leader, you will definitely be able to train others to lead as well. So for those that are extremely successful in the business, they have built a downline of people who see the big picture and are willing to do what it takes to be a success themselves and those people do the same and so on and so on.

Do you see the big picture? It is possible for everyone to be a great success with good leadership and the ability to see the vision and carry it out. 

In order to be the CEO that you’ve dreamt about being, you must first let go of the employee inside you that is holding you back….

Throughout his-story and even up until this day there appears to be a concentrated effort to create opposition between the African man and the African wombman.  Think about it.  Slavery was the beginning.  Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to have your family taken from you?  Well this was done on a global scale for hundreds of years to African people and we have been affected.  Many will say that we need to get over it or they would like to pretend as if it does not matter in this day in time, but the reality is remnants of what we went through lingers in the air.  In addition when welfare was implemented the objective was for the African wombman to say fare well to the African man.  The attitude of not needing a man was birthed.  The African man learned how to disrespect the African  wombman from the slave master with words like whenches, bitches and whores...and this still goes on to this day.  The disrespect directed at the African wombman and the lack of respect given to the African man is an issue that reveals itself on so many different levels and I don't know about you, but I'm tired of it. In our ancient culture the male and female were both important because they created balance.   Instead of us complaining and directing our anger and frustration towards one another I think it's imperative that we first know we did not just wake up one day and decide to be in the state that we are in....some things happened to us.
