It’s time to dream again! Many of us of stopped dreaming or given up hope. Inside of each woman lies a hidden treasure. It is something the God has placed inside of you and sometimes you just need a little push or something to resonate with you to remind you that you we created by God for a purpose and that the world needs you.
What is your ultimate dream? We all dream but some reason never commit to taking the first step or staying the course. Why is it that when I often ask that question what are you doing to live out your dream I get hesitation or a blank stare? Don’t think about the answer to long I want you to write down the first thing that comes to your mind.
God has given each of us a gift to serve his people. Many of us already know our gifts and there are some women walking around still questioning their purpose. I want to encourage you to seek God and ask him what is that you want me to do. The bible says in James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Our gifts and talents are to be used to bring good to the planet. Right now the only thing getting in your way is taking the next step!
I want to encourage you today to take inventory on your gifts and talents. What is it that you possess? If you’re still unsure ask 3-5 close family members or friends to describe you in three words, to identify your strengths and then ask yourself if you agree with them?
Just like with Moses, when you begin to use what’s in your hand, God will add power and miracles to your efforts which always produce success!
What’s in your hands? Grab hold to what you have and take your next step. In doing so, you will start to dream again and find your true life purpose!

I got a little too excited. And then I got sidetracked. And then I got bummed out.
What about you? Have you ever had one of those days. . . or maybe one of those months? What is it that shakes up one's momentum just as things are getting really good? April's Success Strategy is "Resourcefulness" and when you start to wander away from the path to success, resourcefulness is just the ticket.
Have you ever fallen into a slump just when you were nearing the nexus of success? Sure you have, you’re an entrepreneur, right? Why does that happen? It is such an energy drain to be brought down low and listless and questioning your every move. Total bummer. So what do you do about it? How do you shake it off? As a business owner and person with some semblance of a life (I say that only slightly tongue in cheek – you know what I mean, right?) we can’t afford to have a bad day.

Many times you can talk yourself out of the miasma of inactivity. A pep talk might be just the thing. Other times you need some real tools to help you move forward. Oftentimes a reversion to the “tried and true” is just the ticket. So when you are not performing up to your normal level, get out your pen and paper and make a list of strategies you can use to get moving again. Remember that project you’ve been meaning to tackle? Well, do it now. Sometimes doing something new can help clear the cobwebs from your brain because when you’re learning a new skill you’re moving in the right direction.
Don’t let a sense of overwhelm keep you bogged down. Create a go-to list of “get my butt in gear” actions to take when you find yourself stuck. I really want to hear your ideas, but here are a few to get you started:
Exercise is always a help – even just a simple walk (usually my best thinking time.)
Work a bit on an open project (and we have plenty of those don’t we?)
Take a nap (Okay, that one might just be a bit of self-indulgent wishful thinking)
Write a blog post! It can help clear the clutter and give you a sense of accomplishment.
Plan your next event. Just as I like to buy my holiday gifts throughout the year so I can peek at them now and again for a little feel-good moment, concentrating on something pleasant can be a nice distraction.
Take a break. Maybe you really are overwhelmed and a little rest might be just the ticket!

A press release (aka a media release) is a public relations announcement sent out to the media and other targeted publications to let the public know what's going on with you and your business. It's a way to get coverage in newspapers, magazines, websites and blogs.
Before sending off your next press release, here's what you should know to make it effective:
Have a good reason to write and send one. A few reasons to send a press release: You're starting a new business, celebrating a business anniversary, launching a new product, you've received an award, or you're hosting an event.
Watch the length. If you're sending a hard copy of your press release, it should be no longer than two pages. If you're sending it electronically, it should be between 300-500 words.
Include contact information. This includes your (or the contact person's) name, phone number, email address and fax number. You want to be sure the person reading can easily figure out who she can contact for more information. If she can't get in touch with someone, your information may lose its appeal, and you may lose the chance of being published. Be sure to include the date as well.
Use AP (Associated Press) Style. This is what journalists use; and by using this style, the editor won't have to change anything, which makes his/her job easier (and that's always good).
Create an attention-grabbing headline. Although an editor/publisher will likely rewrite it, your press release should have a good headline for two reasons: 1) It helps ensure the press release gets to the right person; and 2) It helps determine the content of the press release.
Today as I watched Loony Tunes (yes from time-to-time I like to watch the cartoons I grew up watching) I was amazed at the subject. One of the cartoons that aired exactly discussed investing money!
In Heir Conditioned, Sylvester had inherited a large sum of money. His first thought was to spend the money on "stuff" (everything he WANTED in life).
Elmer Fudd, his financial advisor, kept telling Sylvester, "you don't want to spend your money on things you don't need, you must invest it." Elmer even brought some salespeople to the house, to pitch their products and services, so Sylvester would not have to go look for investment opportunities on his own.
Friz Freleng wrote Heir Conditioned and two more cartoons, "to educate viewers about consumerism and businesses. That was in 1954! Today we see history repeat itself. Haven't you gotten your tax or financial aid/loan refunds (or any other source that may bring you additional income) you go out and spend money on a lot of "stuff?" If you are like most people you do not look at investing in start up businesses or any other business for that matter.
As I write this blog, I wonder how different my life would be if I would have invested in any one of my favorite places I like to purchase "stuff" from. It amazes me how my life would have really been if I had invested in FB, Twitter and other companies that started up in the last 5 years.
This year when I got my tax refund, I invested my money in two companies. One caters to the health and wellness industry and one caters to making what you have, more efficient for you. I'm glad this year, instead of spending my refund on "stuff", I did what Elmer Fudd was advising Sylvester to do and that was INVEST! I did not have anywhere near the 3 million dollars Sylvester inherited, but I know the money and the time I'm investing in both companies today will leave me and my children with a brighter tomorrow.
