Self Discipline: Your Commitment to Yourself

Self discipline is the most important attribute one can possess. If you are a small business owner or solo entrepreneur, self discipline will either make or break your business. The core of this attribute is your commitment to yourself and your dreams. How committed are you to your dream? Do you wake up every morning with a plan laid out to help move you closer to your desires? Do you know what your high payoff task is and what it will do for your business? Do you know how to effectively communicate your desires to those who can help you? Do you know to whom you should communicate these desires? If the answer to any of these questions is no or maybe, you need to re-examine your commitment to your dream.If you are not committed it will prove difficult to get others to become invested in your dream. The concept of self discipline is a beautiful thing. To execute this concept is simple. In fact, it is one of the most simplistic concepts that exists, yet the execution of it allow us to make sense of highly complex situations and experiences. Many view self discipline as an illusive thing that only a select few are capable of achieving. That is an untruth. There is and will always be but one thing that will allow you to possess self discipline.1. Do what you say you are going to do. That is all. When you follow through with action on the things you have intended mentally, it is an execution of self discipline. Only you can free yourself from the "should haves", "could haves", and "would haves". If you commit your physical body to your internal decisions, wants and desires, the only possible result is successful action. Your successful action will result in the manifestation of things all around you. It will allow others to recognize and experience these things as well. When others experience them along side of you, it will prompt them to become invested in you and your dream.Remember, your commitment to yourself is the heart of self discipline. You cannot expect others to commit to you if they cannot see that you are first committed to yourself. Exercise self discipline always. Do what you say you are going to do. Write 100 articles in 100 days if you say you are going to do it. Go to the gym every morning if you said you were going to do that. People who want to lose weight commonly, and first of all, think about reducing the amount of food they eat. This may be quite a solution but not exactly the best there is. Here are some points one should consider when trying to lose weight:Beware of the Crash DietsMost people think that trimming down the calories can alone shed off their unwanted excess. Probably this is because of the fad there is in advertising about low-calorie food products and beverages. What people don't know is that this could be dangerous because when they decrease their calorie intake way to below the required levels, the body begins to digest the fats. Sounds good but it doesn't actually. Burning fat requires a lot of energy. Since there is not much energy in the body to facilitate metabolism of fat, it will run at a very slow pace resulting to fatigue, illness and weak immune system.Low-calorie diet is also compensated for by the body by burning muscle. People on this type of diet who revert back to their old eating habits end up gaining back some, if not all the weight they have shed off. This would consist mainly of fats. And since fats have more volume per mass than muscle, they end up having the same weight as before but more bulkier. In losing weight, one should keep in mind that they should lose excess body fats only.However, one can try out eating small meals at more frequent intervals. This way the body will not think that it is being starved and will not store food as fat.Eat ProperlyOne may have considered junking the crash diet option but he should also not forget to watch what he is eating. Aerobics also help in increasing lean muscle mass while simultaneously decreasing excess body fat. Aside from these, aerobics make the metebolic process more efficient and its rate high, even after a long while. Imagine burning fat efficiently while driving along the freeway or even while watching television.On Taking Diet PillsOver-the-counter diet pills affect the amount of weight one loses as well as how long one keeps that amount of weight off. However, one must be wary of the side-effects of these diet pills. As such, one must faithfully follow the instructions provided for in the packaging. This is not written to entice anger but to make us more aware of our actions.Yes, Guantanamo Bay should be shout down. America has led the world on human rights issues and violations. Guantanamo Bay is our black eye to the world as we have failed in this area. The Arab world is angry with us regarding their treatment and are uniting with Asama Ben laden against us. This puts our young men and women in increasing danger. America must regain the world wide respectability that it has lost.To have detainees locked in a facility without charges is not the American way. What happened to innocent until proven guilty. The word on the street has always been, “you get as good as you give.” I know you are questioning what I am saying, but remember the two young ladies that were captured in Iraq and how inhumane their treatment was. Remember Guantanamo Bay and the inhumane treatment of those detainees were in the news worldwide. Remember we had American Soldiers tried for raping women in foreign countries. Could you take a wild leap of imagination and wonder if our public image in the world had something to do with it. If America doesn’t like what its been getting then America needs to change what its been giving. In the days of slavery this could happen, but not today. In the evolutionary process Guantanamo Bay is a sign of regression not progression. As a nation we are too intelligent and sophisticated for this. I say this not to incite or support terrorism but for us to look closely at ourselves and our behavior. The bible teach us to get the plank out of your eye before you attempt to get the mote out of mine.I support my President 100% on the closing of Guantanamo Bay. I believe that the closing of Guantanamo Bay will help improve our humanitarian image world wide. This will be one step toward walking the walk and not just talking the talk of world peace. In response to what to do with detainees that no country will accept - Italy has stepped up to give America its support. I grant you that it will not be easy, but nothing significant ever is. I challenge America to be the change it wants to see in the world. God Bless America and Everywhere else.Following this memorial day as we remember our fallen soldiers, I remember our soldiers in captivity. Can we expect other nations to treat our soldiers with humanity while we maintain a camp that is inhumane to detainees? THINK ABOUT IT!

My search for a home business began about 8 years ago when I was pregnant with my little girl, kiki. I was always coming across advertisements that said "Work From Home", "Be Your Own Boss". What you cannot control (Part 1)1. First you want to start by finding all the errors in your file. This means that you will have to have a CURRENT COPY of your file. Your file changes daily and you should NOT dispute off an old file. This is why having a monitoring service is so important.2. Write them down on a sheet of paper or type them up.3. Dispute each account with the Credit Bureaus and wait for them to respond.4. Keep records of all your disputes and any communication via correspondence.5. Write the company who is reporting your file to the credit bureau. This is the step that is very important. Often times, the credit bureau will not investigate your dispute and leave you to do all the work. This is a big problem in the system. The credit bureau will leave you hanging to deal with the creditor who is already reporting the information wrong. The reason you want to write the collection company is because “you” want to create a paper trail that you have made every attempt in correcting your file.6. After about four attempts working with the creditor bureau and collection company, it’s time to file a complaint. It is sad, but if you don’t file a complaint, there is no way for the federal government to know that these companies are not following the guide lines in reporting.7. You cannot control unpaid bills on your credit file UNLESS they are reported wrong which is what happens 90% of the time. These companies are getting away with this and YOU, the consumer is letting them. Unpaid bills will remain on your file for seven years, EVEN when you pay the bill. Again, there is no way to get a legal unpaid bill off your file UNLESS, it is reported incorrectly.8. Consumers must learn to identify the illegal reporting of each bad account. (so to speak) Like a lot of business owners I'm always looking for free money (grants) but I wanted to find a way to generate some while I'm waiting money. These are some of the things I came up with . Non profits depending on how you set it up can have a for profit side to help support it. If that is your case then you can get donations fo things from people things like housewares, electronics, virtually anything, and sell it to raise funds for your business. Why you ask would people give you things? I am in the beginning stages of creating a non-profit organization called ZEN WOMAN. It is designed to provide mentors to women ages 25 to 60 who desire to continue their education, start a business, become employed or make a lifestyle change. Mentors would be women 40 and older who are either business owners or those who have extensive professional experience. ZEN WOMAN would also offer one-on-one or group discussions on life challenges; family, finances, relationships, career, and just the every day challenges and joys of being a woman. I also intend to offer classes in business communication, business etiquette, Internet protocol, leadership development, and conflict resolution.To that end, ladies, I would love to hear from you with suggestions on what programs to offer, what type of classes to offer, rewards and incentives for the clients, qualifications for mentors; essentially anything that you think would enhance my idea.
