WHERE DID THIS FLAG COME FROM ?

I would like to share with you all how the TRINITY Flag was created. Growing up, I have always enjoyed art, especially colors. I’d received the highest grades in Art, than any other subject. Not because everything I had drawn or made was good, but because my teachers saw something, whether it was potential or my passion in doing my best. Their encouragement helped me to grow & explore more.

History of Business (how it started to where it is now) … Isaiah 48:17

The Kingdom of God Flag Company is a for-profit ecommerce company.

I know now that God has been directing my steps (Psalm 23). The Kingdom of God Flag Company started step by step. As I look back, I can see how it came together. In the 1960’s, as a child in school, everyday, we all sang the “Pledge of Allegiance”. This song’s lyrics included “One Nation under God”. Also in school, we read about Betsy Ross as being the woman credited with making the first American flag. I am realizing now, what an impact that song and the United States flag had on me at a young age. I believe this is where the concept of making my flag with my God came from.

U S flag

As a teenager in the 1970’s, my sisters and I joined a neighborhood church called Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ. During this time, my grandmother gave me a sewing machine and I took sewing classes in high school. I began altering my clothes. My sisters & I were in the choir, so I made at least four skirts (we wore long skirts to church at that time, they were called “maxi” skirts). I believe this is where the name of my flag originated in my heart.

Also as a teenager, one of my sisters and I participated in the Junior Achievement in our community. I believe we had made those round plastic lamp shades and those flat wooden bat & ball with a rubber string stapled to the bat. We even had the opportunity to sell them at a trade show sponsored by Junior Achievement. I remember when the class was over; we were taught how to liquidate our merchandise. Years later, I had the great opportunity to work for Loyola University Medical Center. We had the most wonderful Administration, who taught us self manage skills. I got elected the co-facilitator for our department’s Patient Care Team. We typed up our own agendas and took the minutes of the meetings. We accomplished a lot for our department. When an issue that involved another department arose, we were able to sit down together for the resolution. I believe all of this combined with the fact that my husband & I have been landlords for over 30 years; my taste for business has only gotten stronger and better. I am ready to learn & do more.

A Learner

I graduated in 2007 from the Joseph Business School, a program at my church; Living Word Christian Center. I know this is where I discovered the purpose for The Kingdom of God Flag Company / TRINITY Flag (Psalm 35:27).

I am being transformed; here is how I know …

I have always enjoyed dancing, when I was worldly. Now, our TRINITY Praise & Worship Banners and Streamers gives me the opportunity to continue to dance. There is not a more joyful way to dance than to dance before the Lord.

I never really felt comfortable in the lounges, but I enjoyed dancing. I would definitely have to have a strong drink just to relax myself to fit into the environment. I never once felt comfortable enough to go out by myself.

What I am pleased to discover is that I could go to church alone with ease. I didn’t need any type of drink other than having my thirst quenched by the Lord. I have finally found where I belong. I really enjoy being drunk in the Spirit.  The first time I experienced this pleasure was at one of our Women Fellowship nights. It was time to leave the sanctuary to go to another area to eat, & when I stood up & I was actually dizzy & begin giggling. Of course, no one could see this from just observing me. They told me I looked fine, even though I felt that my eyes were half closed.

TRINITY Praise & Worship Streamer Blog - No image

Now, here is where I was heading …

Our niche is to cater to dancers. I get so much pleasure watching our praise & worship dancers glide around the sanctuary, wielding their flags in love for God, with power, authority & in spiritual warfare, but more importantly I see how much they are enjoying themselves. This is the reason that the TRINITY Praise & Worship Banner and Streamer was created and is dedicated to the Kingdom of God; the TRINITY; God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Because the TRINITY Praise & Worship Banner and Streamer is a point of contact to God, such as a cross or rosary beads, any dancer can dance like David before God, with confidence & unashamed (2 Samuel 6:14).

The Kingdom of God Flag Company’s success is by keeping God first in everything I do, which is doing business God’s way (Matthew 6:33 AMP).

God’s Word is the CEO of The Kingdom of God Flag Company. I have diligently worked on The Kingdom of God Flag Company to where it is now. Now, the time has come: Presenting the TRINITY Flag as a point of contact to God, such as a cross or rosary beads, for the purpose to help align us with the Word of God. All governments have a flag. Now, the Kingdom of God has its governmental flag on earth as it is in Heaven. The profit from the purchases of the TRINITY Flags & TRINITY Praise & Worship Banners will be used to show the Love of God. These funds are sown into established ministries, whose projects meet the needs of people (ABOUT US page).

THERE IS SOMETHING INSIDE OF EACH OF US FROM GOD, NEEDING TO COME OUT. GOD IS WAITING !!! :)

Isaiah 48:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I AM the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

Psalm 23:1-6 King James Version (KJV)

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 35:27 King James Version (KJV)

27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.

2 Samuel 6:14 King James Version (KJV)

14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

Matthew 6:33 Amplified Bible (AMP)

33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

Genesis 1:26 King James Version (KJV)

26 And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Acts 10:34 King James Version (KJV)

34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

James 1:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

James 1:16-18 The Message (MSG)

16 So, my very dear friends, don’t get thrown off course. Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. 17 The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light. There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle. 18 He brought us to life using the true Word, showing us off as the crown of all His creatures.

1 Peter 4:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)

10 As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God’s many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].

Lesson Learned, Let It Go

I was sitting in church one Sunday morning listening to a dynamic sermon by my pastor, a very captivating man of God.  As the sermon was coming to a close, you could see the tissue box being passed up and down the aisles as people were wiping away their tears.  The message really touched the spirit as many could identify with the word that was given.  The title of the sermon was Let It Go. Throughout this life, we inevitably will encounter people and situations that create resentment and bitterness in our hearts.  That hurt can carry on for days, weeks, months and oftentimes years, because we simply cannot Let Go of the painful situation we rather wish never happened at all.  But it did happen and the moment it does, there are two roads ahead to travel.  The road of forgiveness or the road of resentment.  If you unfortunately haven traveled the road of resentment, the weight of your hurt may have built up and caused you to have negative emotions that won't leave you.  But what we need to realize is that, you're not hurting the person that betrayed you, you are only bringing more harm, more hurt, more negativity into your life because you continue to dwell on it and not Let Go.  When you're at the point where you wish evil and harm onto the person that caused this pain, then you've become a prisoner to the situation.  You can never accomplish all that you were created to be until you forgive the one who hurt you and release the pain that is attached to it.  Forgiveness is a gift, but not a gift for them, the forgiveness is for you.  Once you forgive, you've altered your course and are now traveling the road of forgiveness, which leads to joy, happiness, prosperity, abundance and a life filled with blessings. How do you free yourself from resentment.  You have to Face It! You cannot fix what you do not face. Don't ignore it, face it! Don't run from it, face it!Face what is holding you hostage in your resentment.Once you've accomplished that, then Forgive It!We have to be able to truly forgive.  Just because you've chosen to forgive doesn't mean that you forget, you've simply been able to detach the negative and hurtful emotion that was attached to the pain.In order to forgive, we also must let go of pride. Forget your pride and protocol and finally Let Go of your past. Let the past go and never mind the "why it happened". If you've truly forgiven, the why doesn't matter anymore. If you need to Let It Go, start your journey by facing the problem and forgiving those involved.  Don't continue to be a prisoner to your past, but yet be the light in your future and make a choice that will bless your life today. The Lesson Learned Is: When you encounter a situation in your life that strips you on your joy, your peace of mind, your sanity, your happiness, make the choice to let it go and move forward with your life, taking with you the valuable life lesson this experience taught you.Love and Gratitude,The Black Woman's Rule Book

The Pathway To Your Joy In Two Words

Have you ever wondered how people live such awesome lives.  They have great wealth, abundant joy, successful marriage, nice house, wonderful spouse, great friends, awesome kids, beautiful cars, and travel the world year round, the list is endless.  Have you ever wondered how they achieved it all. Some might say they worked hard for it, they inherited it or they got lucky.  There is a strong commonality in the lives of those who live life abundantly and it is a belief that dates back hundreds of years.  Books have been written about this topic for ages and it is available to everyone who can apply it's rules to their life. All you have to do is INTEND IT!That's right, intend it.  Whatever you want for your life, you must intend it. Let's take a look at the meaning of the word. To have in mind as something to be done or brought about.  You 100% intend to have a wonderful life, intend to have a loving marriage, intend to be successful, intend to be great, intend to be healthy, intend to be happy!  For all the things you want for your life intend it.  Expect that it will happen and remain focused on only those things.  Don't allow any contradiction, doubt, disbelief or denial to enter your mind.  Dismiss those thoughts immediately and replace them with the positive thinking that what you want is on it's way, everything you need is flowing into your life right now.  And feel good about it, get excited about it!Go to a quiet room in your home, take a pen and paper with you.  Now, sit quietly and think about what you desire most for your life.  Be very clear with yourself, be very specific.  Now that your mind has become clear on what you want, write it down and read these thoughts everyday.  When you do this continue to imagine yourself where you want to be, continue to remain positive and continue to feel good about it and watch it appear in your life.  And finally, be grateful and thankful for what your life already has, so that you can continue to feel this way when your life begins to produce more for you. With Love and Gratitude,The Black Woman's Rule BookHttp://thebwrb.com/

Women today are more stressed and pressed than our mothers and grandmothers ever were. We are wives, mothers, businesswomen, students, grandmothers, employees, etc. Unfortunately, because of the many roles we play, women are dying of strokes and heart attacks in record numbers. Even the statistics for suicide among women is unusually high. So, how can we, women of the 21st Century, manage our many roles and health? Here is one strategy that was created with you, your life and your budget in mind.

The Three M’s: Massage, Manicure & Make-over

Massage: What better way to end your week or start it than with a massage? Thirty minutes of peace & tranquility; who could ask for more? A massage can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on two variables: the type of massage you elect to have and your budget.

The full body (my favorite), the Swedish, hot stone, reflexology and a plethora of other kinds of massages were designed to de-stress, relax and exfoliate the body. But be careful with this “M” because a massage can be expensive, hence the second variable. Check on prices from local salons; ask for references, check out the establishment’s décor (one must feel comfortable in a place where they are about to be semi-naked for an hour) and staff friendliness. Speaking of staff friendliness, you will need to look deep within yourself to ascertain your level of comfort with having a masseuse who is either the same sex or the opposite. Account for all of this when budgeting for the massage. I suggest going once a month or every other month as this bill can add up depending on the type of service you purchase.

Now, when you set your appointment ladies, do not, I repeat, do not let anyone in your family know where you are going. The whole objective of this particular “M” is to get away and have time for you to reconnect with yourself. We take care of everyone else every day. The massage is an hour made just for you. You can’t relax if your kids, husband or the office keeps blowing up your cell phone. Turn it off, bury it beneath your pile of clothes and escape to Fantasy Island. My masseuse, Olivia at http://openhandsmassagecare.com/ in Richmond, VA, is my ultimate guide to massage heaven, and she makes sure that no one interrupts my moment of bliss.

Manicure: Your nails and hands are your first impression, especially in business. There’s nothing worse than going to shake someone’s hands and their nails are chipped or broken, or worse, dirty. What does this say about their character? If they can’t keep themselves well-kept, how then can they take care of your business? Keep your nails groomed at all times, but more importantly, there’s nothing that can compare to how good you feel when your hands and toes look pretty. Find a nail technician whom you can trust to take care of your nails. My nail tech, Kim, of Beauty Nails in Midlothian, VA, is wonderful; I have been a client since 2006 because she knows the business of nail care, and the constant compliments I receive about my nails is proof of her work. So, find an expert nail tech and keep those first impressions clean, polished and perfect. Remember, though, you must budget for this two times a month, if possible.

Make-Over: I am not talking about a make-up or wardrobe make-over, but a spiritual/physical/mental make-over. Positive thinking begets positive experiences. We must not only learn to surround ourselves with positive people, but create for ourselves affirmations and self-declarations that uplift us. My friend and beauty expert, Susie Galvez (http://www.susiegalvez.com/), insists that the first thing a woman should do upon waking up is to stand in front of the mirror and say confidently to yourself, “Hello, beautiful!” Why? Because if you don’t believe that you are beautiful, no one else will.

Okay! I know it’s difficult to do this with most of our schedules, but we must find the time to workout (see Walking), whether it be in the am or pm (whatever works best for you). If you can, find a personal trainer. They can be expensive, so see if you can barter services. For example, I approached a local fitness trainer about working with me, but I could not afford his services. So, I offered him a deal; ‘you train me and I will give you a health and fitness column in my magazine.’ He accepted. Free PR wins every time.

Read one book a month that teaches you something new about yourself, life, politics, etc. If you are a fan of fiction, read non-fiction (ex. finances, autobiographies, self-help books). If you love non-fiction, read fiction. I love mystery/suspense novels, so let me recommend my favorite author, Jane Evanovich. Her “Stephanie Plum” series makes me laugh so hard, I get a headache (http://www.evanovich.com/). Try reading poetry or writing some. This will definitely stretch your imagination.

I was recently asked to speak to a networking group of women accountants about keeping a positive attitude during these rough economic times. I thought long and hard about the topic before I realized that these are not just rough economic times, but that it’s life. Our world is no more challenging than the world of 3 or 4 generations ago. The roughness fits the times, so to speak. Still, we all could use some reinforcement in our journey through this life and times, so here are five tools to help you.

Happiness

You must define what happiness means to you. It is a state of mind, no doubt about it. For example, I recently had a conversation with my husband in which he was lamenting not being able to work in the industry he felt he was destined for. I proceeded to ask him what his roadblocks were, and for every one he listed, I countered with creative solutions. He rebutted with more excuses. My response?

You are the only one preventing yourself from being happy. If you can’t find your way to your dreams using creative and traditional routes, then you’ll be forever miserable, and you know what? You’ll take it out on your family and that’s not fair.

So, define your happiness. What does it taste like? Smell like? Feel like? Sound like? What is it? Write it down and then commit it to memory for those days when you get “caught up” and need a boost.

Joy

Keep your joy! That is, no one can steal your joy. Instead, you give it to people. And that’s what were we humans mess up. We let people step on us and take advantage, and then blame others for our misery and pain. Stop that! Joy is the essence that is you. It’s the thing that keeps you going day after day; it keeps you smiling and is the thing that keeps you connected to the higher power. Once you give it away to someone, you’ve given them your power – your joy - and then what are you left with?

A Spirit of Gratefulness

Now, gratefulness is hard because it requires that you relinquish control and allow the higher power to do his/her job. There is no ego or “me me me” in gratefulness because it mandates that you take a real good look at your life, and place value and worth on the things that one cannot necessarily see or touch: the intangibles. This is hard to do in a society that is governed by consumerism and the “must haves.” But, if we do not try and learn how to be grateful about the things that we do have, then you will forever be tethered to a bitter spirit. Think about it this way: we all have that one person at our job who when they come into the room, we make excuses to leave because they have the most negative energy. No one wants to be around negative people. But wait! Are you that negative person that everyone runs from?

The Crying Angel Network

All of the above is impossible to do alone. Case in point: I am not Superwoman and neither are you. “Superwoman/man” implies that you are fearless and do not need anyone because you can do it all: you cannot be destroyed. That is the ultimate lie! You are human and humans need other humans (scientists have proven this), hence, the Crying Angel Network.

This is the group of 3-5 men or women whom you trust and who have proven themselves loyal to the essence of you and the higher power. They lift you in prayer when you have not the words to speak for yourself. It’s called “intercessory prayer” and we all need it. This is what the Crying Angel Network does for you. They do not judge nor condemn you or tell your business to the world. That is not their function. They believe in you and your purpose, and, more importantly, they believe the same of themselves and are working on it everyday. In fact, scripture says, “Faith without works is dead” and this network operates in this mode.

A Sense of Humor

Finally, when all is said and done, and the world is spinning wildly on its axis in spite of you and your “issues,” you must always, always, always have a sense of humor. If you can’t laugh at yourself sometimes, then you might as well go to a corner somewhere and die because you are done.

I had the pleasure of teaching a class on American Literature one year and I thought I had done a wonderful job and that the students had enjoyed the course. Well, I received the teacher evaluations for the class at the end of that semester and some of those same students ripped me to shreds. They told lies and said things about me that are too harsh to even repeat here. I remember crying to my mother over the phone about it all and exclaiming about how I was going to quit teaching because they lied on and about me. My mother’s response?

They lied on Jesus, so what makes you so special?

I shut up instantly and just started laughing hysterically. I had been firmly put in my place.

These five tools take lots of work and patience, but you are worth it, and what you are essentially doing is creating a legacy for yourself. We are being watched by the generation behind us to see how we respond to life and its trials and tribulations. You are teaching them whether you want to be a teacher or not. So, what do you want your legacy to be? How do you want to spend the energies of your life? In pain? In a state of depression? Or filled with and living a life of happiness, joy, gratefulness, connectedness and laughter? Happiness is, after all, a state of mind, but so in unhappiness.

Ok Now that you have written your positive, visionary, dream, goals list and detroyed the negative list take a moment to reflect on the things you already have in your life that currently bring joy to you. The things you should reflect on are things that are not on your list, this thought process is strictly related to what you already have that you are grateful for.

Gratitude is essential in the process of having a positive mindset about your vision, dreams, goals. Showing or having an attitude of gratitude allows you to have a balance in your mindset regarding reflecting upon what you have, but also allows you to "see" the tools you currently have to help your vision come to pass. For instance, begin to become grateful for things that you may not have even thought of as an option to be grateful for. Most of the time when people reflect on what they are grateful for it's usually things that are essentially priceless like life, your children, your husband/wife, pets, etc. However, also consider being grateful for other things as well like your home, transportation, internet access, a computer, a job, your business, financial resources, etc. Now I know you may be thinking, "but those things are tangible and monetary?," and I'll say yes they are, but sometimes we can be "ungrateful" for those things. Here's what I mean, because we already "have" those things we neglect to reflect on what life would be like if we didn't have a car, a home to live in, clothing, shoes, a computer, internet access, a job and we can easily take those things for granted and not be faithful over them. Just like the bible says be faithful over the little things (few things) and I will make you ruler over much, how do you expect to obtain more or be blessed with more if you are not grateful for or do not take care of what you have now?

So as you reflect on your vision/goal list that you already created, also take time to show gratitude for what you already have.

Bring more Joy into your life and the life of others....

Ok so I just wanted to write a blog to uplift and encourage everyone out there. As women (and men) we all deal with daily struggles and sometimes things may seem a little overwhelmming and overbearing for us to handle. Some of us have children, husbands (wives for the men reading this), jobs, pets, social lives, part time jobs, etc. the list can go on and on...all of these aspects of our lives can bring unneccessary stress or an abundance of JOY. Which one occurs stress or JOY depends on what you allow to happen in your life.

Speaking only to the women now, as women we all have an inner strength that allows us to overcome any obstacle that may cross our path. That inner strength also gives us the remarkable power and ability to by pass foolishness, yet sometimes we get caught up in foolishness and negate our ability to be greater than our circumstances. The type of foolishness I'm referring to is things that we all know don't warrant a second of our time but we still spend our precious energy, time, and efforts focusing on things that will not bring any multiplication, power, strength, or JOY to our lives.

So here's what I say, I say let's take time to think about what really matters to us, what is really important, what will help us live a joyful and fulfilled life. Once we do that let's collectively decide to focus on the things in our lives that we know will help us move forward and not backward. Part of doing this will allow all of us to see what's really important in life and what we need to focus on to move forward in our life journey.

EXERCISE

As an exercise I think that everyone men and women alike should write down the things that they know are not positive and do not bring any satisfaction or joy to them. Once that list is written out don't even look at it anymore, crumple it up and set it asside. Then write a list of all the things you want to accomplish, achieve, aspire toward in life read it out loud, make copies of it and put it up all over the house in places you will always be able to look at it, reflect on it, and expound on it. Take the other list that you crumpled up that has all of the negative things and burn it up. That's right I said burn it up, but be sure to do it in a safe place that will not cause a harmful fire to occur in your home (practice safety first). Once the negative list is burned up forget about everything you wrote on that list that doesn't bring any joy to your life and focus on the positive list you created.

CHALLENGE

I'd like to present a challenge to everyone to focus on your list of positive things for the entire week. Then post a response of what happened as a result of having a positive attitude and outlook on life.

Be Blessed in all you do and become a blessing to others!

Have a great and prosperous day!

Life is a blessing... enjoy each day!

I am sitting here enjoying a raining day in South FL. I am going over all the things I have to be grateful for. My beautiful sons and grandson... to me... they are living miracles. I think about my loving family and friends, who make me smile and remind me where I come from. The budding new love in my life. He is a complex and incredible man. Who touches my heart in a way I had nearly forgotten. I live in a lovely home that is a haven for anyone who comes to visit. I could go on and on.

This reflective mood comes as I am dancing around my home and noticing that my body barely hurts much any more throughout the day. You see, this time last year. I was in so much pain that I spent most of my days in tears. My central nervous system had gone haywire and nobody had an answer why I was in so much pain.

Nothing helped... not sitting down, standing, or lying in bed. I was dealing with symptoms that baffled my doctors. I saw a whole team of medical experts. General physicians, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and an orthopedic physician. They thought MS, Lupus, and a host of other things that nearly scared me half to death. And, I might add, they were very aggressive in their quest to label me with some thing and prescribe me some type of medication that may or may not help.

As, I went from one recommendation to another. I refused to take the medication, much to the annoyance of a couple of my doctors. I have nothing against prescription medication if the person taking the medication understands the side effects and the potential new health problems that the drug may create. My problem was how quick a doctor was to write a prescription with no real reason to give it to me.

So, praying daily for some answers, I did my research and looked into more holistic ways to help my beautiful body heal herself. I figure I am the best expert when it comes to me. I live inside my body 24/7 and I do know when something is not right. Even if I decide to ignore it. So, shame on me... I believe every thing happens for a reason. Obviously, I had spent too much time neglecting my inner voice that had been telling me to slow down. Please understand, when this happened to me I was taking care of myself physically... eating properly and exercising nearly 7 hours per week. I thought I was doing the right thing.

As, I did my online holistic research. I decided to visit a chiropractor and a friend who is a doctor of Oriental Medicine. The chiropractic treatments wound up being too aggressive for my body to handle comfortably. But, the acupuncture and massage were definitely helpful.

I continued reading and started incorporating more meditation, herbs, and detoxing/juice feasting into my life. I eliminated some of the stress in my life and decided to treat myself more gently and with more female wisdom and respect. I asked questions as needed and did not let anyone "bully" me into a treatment I did not feel was appropriate for me. I took charge of and full responsibility for my health.

And, as I became more acquainted with myself. My body began to heal. As new information was needed to continue my progress towards better health, I would meet people who would introduce me to someone with the healing touch to help me even more. I found a new chiropractor who practices Nucca chiropractic techniques. It is a totally different and much gentler way to realign your body. I highly recommend it. He has completely eliminated my shoulder and neck pain.

Today, I am a new woman... happier, more radiant, and living proof that you can rise like a phonenix from the ashes of crippling pain and soar again. So, as I continue to dance around my livingroom... laughing... and feeling like Divine energy in motion. I thank God for the opportunity to share my story with each of you. I hope this blog will encourage you to listen to that tiny little voice telling you to slow down and take better care of yourself. Please, do not let a major health crisis become your wake up call. Do something special for yourself today.

Live and Love with no regrets,

Cyndi

Divas,Today I celebrate my 50th Birthday. I am truly grateful that God has brought me through another year, safe and sound. There have been bumps and bruises along the way, as I am sure there will be many more to come. I have learned that amidst all of the cards, flowers, balloons and gifts, the lasting memories of this birthday come from the time I spent with my friends, family and one very special man.I continue to learn many things about myself, among them the joy of living my life according to my values and priorities. My girlfriend asked me today, when I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror, did I have any regrets of the things I had done within the last 72 hours (I am sure that she was referring to my belly piercing). I did not hesitate for a moment on the answer, It was a resounding "NO". A Tru Diva tries to live her life without regret. So publicly, I wanted to thank all of those people who made this Diva's 50th Birthday the best that I have ever, ever had.A Tru Diva knows how to celebrate each day and especially the day that her "Light" was born into the world.

It's The Passion Behind The Product That Matters

Hello Fellow Sisterprenuers,I have not spent much time here as yet since I've been busy recreating myself and my business. You know we have to look at ourselves every now and then and assess where we've been and where we're headed. Having my head in the game, so to speak, has inspired me to think about why I do what I do. This is the question, I believe, that will keep us fueled and inspired to keep going: what is the passion behind my product?I recently ran across a web site that talked about the value of operating from our hearts instead of our heads. I think that it is easy as business women to get a little caught up in the "gotta go and do" syndrome. I gotta go here, gotta go there, gotta call this one, gotta email that one, gotta sell, sell, sell, gotta network, and on and on. Well, yes of course there are many business related activities we are responsible for. However it is equally important to regularly reflect on why we do what we do.What else can motivate us when we are feeling a bit down or even a little pessimistic and lacking in confidence? Nothing can truly motivate us towards any gratifying action except for the "why" behind what we do. Have you ever had a meal prepared by someone who really didn't enjoy cooking? Well, chances are, the food was a bit boring or perhaps just uninspired. We like food that is prepared by someone who knows that the most important ingredient in food preparation is LOVE. This, I believe, is true for every endeavor. There must be love, purpose and passion as the driving force, otherwise our work or our "product" becomes bland, tasteless, and uninspired. My purpose is to help women build businesses and lives that they can feel good about. I am creating a community of phenomenal women: women who will commit to supporting one another, to encouraging one another and inspiring one another to live a joyful and success-filled life. I believe that our ultimate success comes about from building relationships that matter - not just selling products. So, please share with me. What is the love and passion that sparked your product? Mine is the desire to see ALL women realize their innate value and purpose in the world and help them create lives that are successful in every area. At one point in my life, I struggled to connect with my worth and my purpose. Now, there is no doubt in my mind that everyone who breathes deserves to live a happy, healthy and success-filled life, no matter what.Peace & Blessings,MelindaJoin The Butterfly Circle Women's Networkhttp://thebutterflycircle.com

I Hope!

I hope that I will always be for each personwhat he or she needs me to be.I hope that each person’s death will diminish me,but that fear of my own will never diminish my joy of life.I hope that my love for those whom I like will never lessenmy love for those whom I do not.I hope that another person’s love for me will neverbe a measure of my love for him or her.I hope that everybody will accept me as I am,but that I never will.I hope that I will always ask for forgiveness from others, but will never need to be asked for my own . . .I hope that I will always recognize my limitations, but that I will construct none.I hope that loving will always be my goal, but that love will never be my idol.I hope that everyone will always have hope.-Henri NouwenI read this poem and cried! This is ME! How many of you have hope like this?In His Love,Lily

Solutions Health & Wellness is showing support with Solutions Cancer Resource Center,Inc. in giving to others who are facing difficult health concerns. One of the things that we came up with is the care-giver baskets which are given to those who are taking care of a loved one who is terminally ill. Although most care givers just do it without a second thought, they are often overwhelmed with the thoughts of losing their loved one - putting their own selves at the back burner. The idea to give was simply a way to show appreciation -- just to say you are very special and we care about you. It is a treat that brings a smile - a lift in spirits - a moment that makes a difference. A way of showing that they are appreciated - a big 'Thank You!'We have now added gift baskets to the children who are ill and could certainly use a treat (toys, crayons, coloring books, books to read, etc.). Unfortunately, the systems that are already in place are not able to reach everyone. However, we have access and can identify many children who are in need of a special moment of joy. We have reached out to our friends, families as well as businesses and we are pleased with the response. The donations have ranged from sample products, variety of items purchased and already placed in baskets (ready to be delivered), monies(starting at $1). What we have found is that in all the gifts we have received, they were all given with great joy - just knowing that it will make a difference to someone. Nothing can describe the feeling of seeing someone smile or shed a tear of gratitude for receiving a gift basket -- it is truly priceless. As I have heard over the years, it is better to give than to receive. Well, just think of how you feel when you receive a gift especially when you least expect it, wouldn't you love to share that with someone else? I would encourage you as a business owner to give to others who are in need -- no matter how small your gift may seem it will mean so much more to someone. Your business will grow as a result as others recognize that you actually care.If you would like to join with us in helping to make it happen for these very special children who are facing some difficult challenges with their health - you help through paypal using the email address dawn@solutionshealthnwellness.com. If you would prefer to send a gift send an email for the mailing address. Please note that your business/name will be added to the baskets.

The Weekend Begins.................

This week flew by as all the weeks in the past have since I reached 30 years old which although it has been quite some time seems like just yesterday. It seems as though over the years the time just flies by....... This week I had two meetings set this week one at the Mayors Office to meet with one of the staff members to address the health initiatives and research projects that are geared toward reaching the residents of the community. The other meeting is to reach out to the medical staff members that are parishioners to work out a plan of getting members of the churches to participate in healthy choices and health promotional events. Both meetings went very well, we have to overcome some barriers which we are prepared to deal with other alternative methods.I have also found the courage to ask for support from others in helping to bring joy and comfort to those who are facing terminal illnesses, losing a loved one or those who are just giving their all to help a family member during this rough period of the end stage of life. When I first began giving gift baskets, I used my own monies and I can tell you how incredibly rewarding it is for me to make someone else enjoy a moment of joy during the roughest season of their lives. I really wished that I could give to everyone. Now I have expanded to children as they too need a great big pick me up -- especially having to face a terminal disease. Now here it is Friday the weekend is upon us yet again and I have a lot of work to do........... The Health & Wellness show airs tomorrow morning at 11 am. In addition, I am going to keep working to meet the needs of others through health, wellness and giving gifts to those who really need it most. As the saying goes, it is better to give than to receive - but then again the satisfaction in giving is priceless..............
