What About Your Future?

My plan for your futurehas always been filled with hope.Jeremiah 29:1111 For I know the plans I have for you,? declares the LORD, ?plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV Bible)

We live in a world that sometimes seems void of hope. Wars, famine, pollution, recessions, etc. can cause us to become easily discouraged when we look at the prospects of our future. Discouragement can lead to depression, and depression can lead to hopelessness. When we are feeling hopeless, we see our circumstances and surroundings through a filtered lens that can cause us to continue to spiral downwards in our emotions and our attitudes. In this devotional scripture, God says that He has a plan for you, a plan that will prosper you and not to harm you, a plan that will give you hope and a future. While the economy may be saying one thing to us, God is saying another. While your circumstances may cry out hopelessness, God is saying that He has a plan to prosper and not to harm you. While we don’t know what the future does hold, we know who holds the future. We can trust in the goodness of God to care for us in the midst of situations that seem hopeless. Our hope is not in our circumstances, but in God our Father. That does not necessarily mean that life will always turn out the way we expected, but it does mean that we can always trust in our Father to love us and watch over us. If we commit our lives into His care, we are guaranteed from an everlasting perspective, that we will have an incredible future filled with hope awaiting us, that will last forever.PRAYERFather, I thank You that You have a plan for me that is filled with hope and a future. I know that You have plans to prosper me and not to harm me. I need not fear and I need not despair for you are in control of my life. Help me to commit my life to You, trusting in Your faithfulness to accomplish all that You have promised to do. In the name of Your beloved Son Jesus I pray, AMEN.Shalom,CandaceCANDACE HOUSE Ministries

The Heart That Keeps On Beating

THE HEART THAT KEEPS ON BEATINGIt has the most important job. Wounded yet it never skips a beat. There is no gluing or stitching involved, it just continues to work, as if oblivious to attacks. It’s a wonder and many are in awe of it. It’s the pumper of life.Sometimes it’s carelessly handled and is crushed easily. Many are not conscious of its fragileness. It is the holder of emotions and takes a direct hit when trampled upon.Shattered, broken and cracked in many places, however never giving up. It’s as if it has hope that tomorrow will offer it a chance to mend itself. The actions of it are involuntary and are easily taken for granted. There can be times when one is not aware of it, yet it continues to perform its duties. It pumps life and must pump on in spite of circumstances.Second by second, minute by minute, day by day, week by week, year by year, it keeps on beating, refusing to succumb to the blows of life.Copyright © 2009Brenda Farrar-Ejemai(Author of: The Family in the Car, A Revelation)CEO, Favor Blooms, LLCwww.TheFamilyInTheCar.comwww.youtube.com/thefamilyinthecarISBN: 978-1-58909-485-7

Worry

WORRYWorry is to feel or express great care and anxiety, to fret. To worry is to have something constantly on the mind and agonizing over it. It can give a sick feeling. It can also be expressed through speech and action. The mind is agitated and there are complaints, there is impatience and irritability. In other words, there is no peace.Sometimes worry can consume hours, days even weeks out of your life. You try to throw it off, but it clings like static. It clings like a tick on an unsuspecting animal. Then “What If” enters. When “What If” enters, peace leaves. You yearn for peace, but the “What Ifs” overpowers and takes control. It keeps a question on the mind. You’re constantly wondering, what if this, what if that. You want to stop worrying, but the mind seems to find comfort in it.Has worry every visited so strongly that when the situation was resolved, you were angry for worrying about it? You worried for hours, days, weeks or even years. It consumed your time and energy. All wasted. You had sleepless nights. You suffered muscle tension, and stress you didn’t need; and all for what? It was for no reason at all. The situation came and went without incident. Your “What Ifs” never manifested and your fears never materialized. You want to kick yourself for what worry put you through. You say within yourself, you’ll never do that again. But does it work? Before you know it, there’s worry knocking at your door. It’s pleading to be let in again. It wants to be your buddy, your companion, your friend.Worry takes up time, saps energy and replaces peaces. It leaves you with nothing in return. Nothing is gained. You are no better for it. You’re only left with less.WORRYWe can all do without a companion like that.Cast it down and cast it out.YOU DON’T NEED IT!Brenda Farrar-Ejemai©2005Author of: The Family in the Car, A Revelationwww.TheFamilyInTheCar.comwww.youtube.com/thefamilyinthecarISBN 978-1-58909-485-7

Overcoming fear

Overcoming fear© 2008 Robin TrambleHave you ever been hindered by a fear of success (or a fear of failure)?Have you ever received news that seemed to immobilize you with fear?Fear tried to grip me when I was awakened at 2:30 in the morning by my daughter's voice with these words "mom, I can't see!." Well, she recovered and my daughter , my family and I overcame the fear, doubt and unbelief.Faith is the opposite of fear. Doubt and fear are the cousins.People everywhere are beginning to live in a state of fear. There is good fear and bad fear. Fear was also designed to warn us and protect us from certain things, however, for the most part people become in bondage to the negative fear. What is fear?Fear is an emotional response to threats and danger. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of pain. You can begin to overcome fear by following a few of the keys below.1) Recognize fear as the following acronym: False – Evidence – Appearing – RealUsually we fear the outcome of the unknown. The evidence that is presented beforeyou is not necessarily truth. So it is key to know that it is only the way it appears, it is an illusion so to speak. We have somehow allowed ourselves to believe that it is real.2) Identify the source of your fear: Where does your fear stem from? Do you find yourself becoming bound by fear when facing new tasks? Could this be a result of the negative responses you received when coming up in response to your failures? Do you become bound by fear when you approach certain types of relationships? Does fear try to grip you when in confrontational situations at work? Identifying the source of your fear plays a key role in overcoming your fears.3) Develop courage: Courage, also known as bravery, will, intrepidity, and fortitude, is the ability to confront fear, pain, risk/danger, uncertainty, or intimidation. You can see by the definition that courage is very important to develop when learning to overcome your fears. You cannot be passive when dealing with fear. You must confront it head on. You must do as the last key listed below andthat is to continue in the face of fear.4) Continue in the face of fear: You must acknowledge that Fear is a spirit.2 Timothy 5:7 states “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. When you realize that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind, you can continue in the face of fear. You must face it head on.Be empowered through your union with Father God, embrace the power that it ours. Put on love and receive a sound mind. This will help you to counteract fear and continue.5) Build your confidence: A lack of confidence only fuels the spirit of fear. Learn strategies for building your confidence. The more confident you are the more you will be able to face fear head on and you can also begin to embrace courage.Fear will immobilize us, steal our destiny, health and relationships. Fear empowers us to FAIL. Faith is just the opposite. Live by faith and begin to enjoy a life of freedom, freedom from a lifestyle of fear.Utilize the above keys to overcoming your fears. Don’t read them, but select one to focus on and write it down. Think about some actions you can take to bring life to the key chosen. Write them down and at weeks end update with your progress. These are just a few suggested keys to overcoming your fears.Visit here to access a free resource to aid in your effort in overcoming fear.http://www.robintramble.com/Teleseminarschedule.htmlFree eBook 15 POWERFUL tips towards boosting self esteem and confidenceWhat’s holding you back from achieving all you desire? How would you like to see some of your dreams come true in under a year?Robin Tramble is your empowering, mentoring, Trainer/Coach. Faith Moves Mountains

Romans 8V32 - "You Shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."Outside the scripture is our human lives in free will. You can live with whatsoever you like and say with whatsoever you want to say. This is freedom of speech. The truth is: You can have what you say! Scripture is about God and what God expected human to live with.(This is scripture reference ) Mark 11-22 - 2622 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. We can become whatever GOD words say. HiS word says have it! GOD says you can do it. You don't have to be limited. Nobody else's thoughts count. Do not let them affect or imprision your mind. Free yourself.. Do not try to get assessed or reaffirmed from man. Encourage yourself based on the WORD OF GOD!!! All the promises of GOD are Ye and AMEN. YOU CAN HAVE WHATEVER YOU SAY!!!!!!!!!!!Here is the ticket. Speak those things in the air as though they already were done. Regardless of how it looks, sounds, and feels. This is essential. This is where your faith moves. Faith without works is dead. Believe it, speak it, and WATCH GOD MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!May this word bless you and keep you strong today and every day!!Grace and PeaceSister Crystal SmithAmbiance Production World

In Denial Of Self Denial!

Wow I constantly meet christians who are so caught up in this prosperity ring. That's what I call it, a ring, because it appears that more and more, people forget that the Lord requires something from us, as opposed to us expecting something from Him. After all, did not Jesus pay it all on the cross? Did not Jesus, shed his blood for the remission of our sins? Are we not the benefactors of such a supreme sacrifice!

You would think that the bible was all about prosperity. Now don't get me wrong, I ain't hatein on anyone, just sad to know that the true meaning of the Gospel has been replaced with a psuedo gospel of "let me get mine" and "God's gonna do it for me too!"

But what about when Jesus asked us, if anyone would be my disciple, let him deny self, put away his own selfish ambitions.... how does that line up with all this prosperity teaching today? I know I'm probably gonna be a lone voice on this one.

How Many Missed Opportunities?

How many missed opportunities did you have today? Umm? How many times did you missed a chance to be about your Father's business today? Umm? In our fast-paced, busy, busy, daily please move out of my way, cause I've got-to-get-things-done-ness, we often times forget that we are to be about our Father's business, in the midst of the no see-ums.What about when you were standing on the check out line in the department store, and you saw that mother struggling with her young child who was having a serious temper tantrum? Did you say a pray for that mother, or did you watch in judgement? What about when you were stuck in that traffic jam on the highway, and when the traffic finally started to move again, you passed by that accident, and saw the ambulance and fire trucks? Did you say a prayer for who ever was in the cars, or did you just drive by relived that the traffic was moving again? How about when you were at the ATM waiting for your turn and someone was yelling at the elderly lady who was a bit confused on how to use the ATM? Did you say a prayer for both the yeller and the one being yelled at, or did you suck your teeth in insensitivity? What about the time you saw that woman walking down the street, crying? Did you say a prayer on her behalf, or did you shrug it off as mere curiosity? These are just a few examples of the many no see-ums we experience in our daily lives. We see them, but we don't see them because there is no emotional connection, so we just move on.But these are precious opportunities to be about our Father's business. Opportunities to be ambassador for Christ. True, nobody will know that you said a prayer, nobody will say thank you, nobody will praise you, that is except God. God knows all and sees all and God is the one who will reward you for being about His business today.John 14:14 - "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."Pastor Aminata

On any typical day... or is there such a thing.... ?You woke up late this morning, rushing to get out of the house, to catch the 7:15 express bus, only to find that you left your metro card in your other bag, and you don't have enough change for the bus. Feeling like an octupus out on the skating rink, you handle it all, phone calls, requests, emails, yadder, yadder, just a typical day.... or is there such a thing?Another day's journey and I'm so glad... well at least it's almost over. On your way home you remember that you promised the kids... ah... mind goes blank, seems like there always a promised due lately, anyways, so why isn't the express bus showing up? It just darned on you that you've been standing there for over 40 minutes and out of the blue a thunderstorm comes, and so where is your umbrella? It's home, watching the weather channel. With key in hand, you approached your home, wet, no soaked, tired, no beat, no exhausted, you prepared yourself for round two with the spouse and kids, on this typical day... or is there such a thing? No matter because whatever you go through, on any typical day, which really isn't so typical at all, you know that you have God's Word, His precious promises to encourage you and strengthen you.Neh 8:10 - And Nehemiah continued, "Go and celebrate with a feast of choice foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. Wed, 9 Mar 2005 09:10:49 -0800 (PST)Subject: Daily Meditation/Words from FaithMarch 9If we stand tall it is because we stand on the backs of those who came before us.-Yoruba proverbAs painful as it may be to accept, our ancestors were required to die as part of the evolution of the race. They died in order that our genius could be spread throughout the world. They died so that their energy would be shifted into the invisible, untouchable force that sustains life today. They died in order that we could stand in a new place, do new things and create new order. We must stand tall knowing the power, strength and wisdom of the ancestors is as close as a breath. All that we ever need to be, to do, to know, to have is available. All we need to do is take a stand.-IyanlaI Am standing on a solid foundation.-IyanlaMe-Faith. That is the word of the day. My favorite thing to say is "I walk by faith and not by sight." (II Corinthians 5:7) I say that because I have been through so much until everything that's happening now in my life would have never been possible if I did not stop and check myself. It's down right unbelievable to me. I can't believe the blessings that are coming my way.People say once you are able to slay that giant within, you are on your way to success. It is true. There was a time when I was in school and I didn't see myself graduating. I sat out of school for a year. During that year I had to do some self-evaluating. In 2003, I couldn't see 2005. But that didn't matter because I knew that my life didn't consist of pain, suffering, and struggling. If I didn't see past 2003, I would still be in that same state of mind and in that same place I was two years prior.Change starts with YOU. A lot people couldn't understand how happy I was when I kept going on and on and on about graduating, but I knew. I knew that I had been through somethings people will never go through if they don't get caught up in everything else, but what's important. After graduating, I knew if I could graduate, anything I wanted I could get. So I was tested. I was supposed to have a job right out of school, but anything that comes easy isn't really worth having. A lot of people kept telling me you may as well just stay in Charleston, work for about three months, save some money, and then move to Atlanta. In my head, I'm like I am NOT living in Charleston, and something is going to come through. No matter what people said I tried anyway. They even said no one knows you in Atlanta, you know this world is about who you know, you know the college kids in Atlanta that attend Morehouse, Spelmen, Clark, and all the other schools in Atlanta have first pick on jobs because they are in the city and most of them have done interns with the Fortune 500 companies. I didn't care because my school prepared me for the business world too. And I knew if I worried about what I saw, then I wouldn't have a job in Atlanta today.I knocked on everybody's door! I applied everywhere! But only stuck within my concentration. It didn't matter that I wasn't qualified enough, or a candidate got the job I wanted, or I had the job and at the last minute I find out that, someone with more experience got the job. All of those things didn't matter because I walk by faith and not sight. If anyone grasp this saying you can have anything you want. This is why I understand my Purpose, and I will fuilfill it. I don't care what people say or think. I know what I have to do and how to get where I want to go. It took me 2 months to get a job. Some collegues who graduated in May 2004 that live in Atlanta, are still crying about it is so hard to get a job. I am like how could you say that, it's about applying yourself and not settling or giving up on what you want. Some jobs wanted to offer me $10 an hour. If I accepted that it wouldn't have made any sense for me to go to school. I never lowered my standards! Because I was prepared, persistent, and focused on what I wanted, I got it. I start my new job with benefits on 03/21/05......Living in the place where I can definitely grow and connect in the industry. And emotionally connect, through words, to women all over the world. That's my Purpose and talent. I will fulfill my dreams, no I mean my Purpose.Ya'll better jump on the boat and know that through Faith, ALL things are possible. I am a living witness. As long as I stay focesed on what is important, I am going to have the neccessssities. And I am writing to tell you all that if it happened for me it can happen for you. Faith is an act. Faith is believing even though don't see it. Faith is how strong you are mentally. And the stronger your faith, the more prosperous and friutful you will be...If you don't grasp this then you'll continue in the same cycle until you do.......TawanaP.S. Know that "Your future is as bright as the promises of God."

Faced with the unexpected trauma of homelessness, her struggle began.THE FAMILY IN THE CAR, A Revelation, which the author describes as “on-time”, time-lines the journey of this struggle. It shows how members of a family who were all their lives sheltered, as well as privileged, now were without. “The trauma was so unbelievable, I felt that period in my life was a dream and not actually lived,” Ejemai said. Although it was written in 2004, the author felt led to release it in 2008 and reveal the true characters in the documentary. It is impacted with trials, but ends with triumph.
