How is your business doing?

Having your own business requires consistent review. Ideas are continuously flowing and ways to improve are being flushed through your mind. Taking it up to the next level is the main goal - not wanting to miss out on being able to provide the services that your competitors are able to deliver. In fact, you want your business to be even better - stand out - completely unique in delivering services that others really need and you can give it to them.Well, I have a list of questions that I often ask myself• How am I doing?• What can I do to improve?• Am I offering my clients an invaluable service?• What about my internal clients? Are they feeling appreciated?• Are my external clients referring me to others?• How effective is my networking?• Am I investing enough time into my business?I can continue on with the questions. However, most important in keeping your business report, be sure to take an honest look at yourself. Your well being - your physical, emotional/mental health are vital in doing business. Your purpose in doing business is not only to be your own boss, be in control but to also enjoy life on your terms. You want to live a prosperous life - well, you also need to live a healthy life. Be sure to take care of the business of your own health.• Stay hydrated (drink water, 100% fruit juices)• Make time to get pampered (spa, massage, body rub/scrub)• Exercise (enjoy a yoga class)• Meditate (quiet time to center yourself)• Make healthy eating choices (salad, fruits, vegetables, vitamins, etc.)• Visit your doctor and follow the standard health screenings• Travel (plan a vacation - go see other places)• Spend quality time with your family• Donate your time, clothes, other items or money to a worthy cause• Go out for a night on the town (concert, dinner, Broadway show, museum)• Make time for a social gathering (group of folks who share common interests, friends)• Play golf, tennis, chess, dominos, basketball, softball, base ball, etc.• Go to a book store pick up that book you've been meaning to read• Relax and begin to read your book - even just a chapter or two - then be sure to make some time to continue reading it again - even if you have to take it to the mandatory room (the place we all have to sit for a while). You are in business with the goal of enjoying life. I know it's hard to step away especially when you are constantly working on something new or something that requires your attention, or just having to put that time in to see the business grow. It will grow but you will be surprised at the growth you can achieve by taking care of yourself. It builds your confidence - you will feel like a billion bucks, and most of all your business will improve.

More networking

I just came home from yet another networking event. With the oppressive heat here in New York City, the LAST thing I wanted to do was leave my air-conditioned apartment/home-office. But after arguing with myself for about 20 minutes (always an interesting thing to watch), I decided to go. And I'm glad I did. There were only 4 of us there. I got to really know the people who were there. It turned into a brainstorming session. It was a productive brainstorming session. I got to share my knowledge and get some useful advice. It proved to me a few things.1. I do know a thing or two about business (based on what I shared)2. I do know what is best for my business (based on the advice I received, which agreed with my previous thoughts)3. I can always learn more - surround myself with smart people4. Sometimes smaller events are better - quality vs. quantity5. Becoming a regular at a few networking groups is better than showing up to a bunch of different ones only once.So there it is. Keep networking. It works.Natashawww.NatashaCrawford.com

What I Call A Friend

I think of a friend as not only a person that has gone through some things with you, seen you at your best and loves you at your worst.A friend to me is someone you meet along life's journey who understands where you are in your walk and will lend a hand when you are in need.I think of my new business and I know that I need all of the support that I can get! A friend sees this and is willing to point you in the right direction and even go as far as to putting you on to that road to success. With That Being Said, I would like to say thank you to anyone who has lended a hand an ear, said a kind word or even a prayer for me. To anyone who has given an opportunity and expressed a validated opinion in order to help me succeed as a small business owner, I just wanted to say......THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (said with the golden girls music playing in my head) :)

Don't Miss This Great Opportunity!

Hello Everyone,I would like to introduce you to Mentors Club. I have after one month of being a part of this club been able to learn and speak with millionaires who are where I am working to be.Don't miss this awesome opportunity to learn and grow. You will get the chance to be mentored personally by great people like Dr. Stan Harris, Ms. Katrina Ferguson - Author of "Celebrate the Power in Your Right to Choose" also founder of The Total Woman and many others. One of the most phenomenal young men I've met is Mr. Stephen Pierce. This young man turned obstacles into opportunities. He dropped out of high school and was homeless, living on the streets. He had gotten shot and the hospital wouldn't remove the bullet because he didn't have insurance. He left the bullet in even after becoming a millionaire because he says he never wants to forget where he came from. This young man borrowed someone else’s computer and begins to make it work for him. 7 years later he is a multi-millionaire. Being a part of Mentors Club allowed me to talk with him and learn from him. This is an awesome opportunity for you to meet great mentors who don't mind sharing their knowledge. The only thing they tell you is to implement what you learn because if you don't it's a waste of your time. There are 2 ways of being a part of Mentors Club. You can have access to training calls with these millionaires every week and also the wealth of knowledge that is available on the site for $29 a month.Option 2 is the Ultimate Subscriber which I am. Why? I am able to earn more money because I have the reselling rights to several e-books and audio recordings but best of all I keep ALL OF THE PROFIT!!!!!! As an ultimate subscriber I get free seminar tickets to events such as The Six Figure Business School.Check out my page at http://prosperity.mentorsclub.comEricaMENTORS CLUB INFORMATION / GUEST CALLEvery Monday @ 9:00 pm est.Phone-Number to Dial: 218-486-3695Use Conference ID: 1518160#

How much do I count on marketing materials to market for me? Do you go to networking events and push your business card into everyone's hand?" Oh, did you feel that whoosh of negative energy with that sentence? I sure did. Next time, keep those business cards in your pocket until asked for one and then still hesitate to give it out without some boundaries or criteria. Why, because a business card has all your contact information on it. U-know, name, phone number, and maybe a logo that took you a year or two to develop that your market could care less about.Your business card doesn't say how kind, understanding, caring or what you know or the value you bring to your clients. Its just flat energy. For the rest of the story, visit http://my.great-promo.comForever promoting,Karmawww.Great-Promo.comCreating brain tattoos that last generations!www.my.great-promo.comExpanding your business by growing your network.

Andrea's Insider

According to Target Market News, in 2005 Blacks/ African Americans spent $719 billion dollars on goods and services. It is projected that the buying power of Blacks/ African Americans will be $1 trillion dollars by the calendar year 2010. When I recently Googled 'black buying power' I was surprised by the number of professional articles I found that talked about how to market to Black/ African American people. Of the few articles I perused, not one of them talked about their corporate/ organizational responsibility to the communities they want to fleece. Not one of them mentioned the needs that exist in many of our communities. I was only five or six articles in when I got a clear image of a world (with few exceptions) that wants to take everything they can from us and give NOTHING back in return. An adage that I was taught many moons ago simply states: He who has the gold rules. It seems to me that since we as a race have the gold we should be ruling. I am so very happy to see the numbers of our people who are beginning to network with and patronize one another in greater numbers than ever before. I'm so happy that our value and worth are now being recognized and our historical accomplishments are no longer being hidden from our youth. But I am very curious and concerned about one thing. What is going to happen when our hard earned dollars are circulating in our own communities several times? What will happen as more and more sisters revert back to natural hair styles and patronizing black only nail techs in order to break the back of the Asian Connection that is not only taking over the hair care industry but is making inferior copies of black produced products while systematically nudging us out of the market? What is going to happen when there are lines outside of black owned grocery stores, liquor stores and gas stations while those that are owned and managed by other ethnicities become virtually empty? What is going to happen when our children are able to find summer jobs and internships within our own communities? What will happen as a result of us using our wealth for our own sustenance, empowerment, and glory?Personally, I don't think the rest of the world will stand idly by and let that happen. I suspect that at the very least we will all have a bunch of new found friends whose main concern will be to win our business away from our own family (I love that term as opposed to the n-word and it is soooooo fitting - my brothers and sisters). As that time approaches and as we deliberate regarding how to handle the opposition that is sure to come, let us remember that people of many nationalities would not hire one of us for any reason; and many of those who did required us to work for minimum wage money under the table, doing work that is beneath them so we would not be entitled to any working benefits or unemployment. Let us remember that many of them treated us like second or third class citizens while we were patronizing their establishments. Many of them intentionally cheat us and our children then get an attitude when we bring their -ah hem- error to their attention. I'm so glad that growing numbers of us are finally working in concert toward leveling the playing field. But remember, just because we deserve to benefit from the power of our own buying power doesn't mean they will sit by idly and let us.BTW: They in this blog specifically refers to people who are either not ethnically recognized as being Black or African American or supporters of the equal rights and entitlements of Blacks/African Americans.
