I recently posted an update to Facebook that received a
few inspired comments. I was not only speaking of women in
relationships with men as much as I was speaking overall
about the power you must express over your life and situations
that you face.

My audio 5 mistakes women make includes giving their power away
and this is so true, however, the quote above sheds a different light.
There are some who give up their power by thinking they don't have
any. Thinking that somehow they have to wait for approval to succeed.
Waiting to be validated instead of realizing that the power is within
them and success is in their hands.

How many times have you come to the realization that someone
was out to harm you or sabotage your endeavors and yet you
continued to tolerate their behavior and allow them in your space?

Here's one of the massive action steps I shared in my session for The

Honor your boundaries
Boundaries protect you from people that your spirit cannot easily afford.

What is that one thing?

List Building or building your community.

If you're going to realize any level of success and online business
empowerment you must be actively building your community (list).

One of the most important things in an online business or offline business
is a list of contacts. Just as in any other business, online businesses
also need to build relationships with their customers. Subscribers are
the contacts on your lists that are the most valuable asset of your
online business. Therefore, list building leads to building
relationships, which in turn encourages prospects to visit your
website, sign up and get closer to buying your offer. But people are
not just going to flock to a website and leave their contact
information! To attract them, they must perceive some value. The first
thing they are going to think about is how they will benefit from
giving you their contact details. That’s why every business that does
online marketing must build its own lists, targeted at specific
prospects. It is time consuming. You have to work really hard. But in
the end, you will directly enjoy the fruits of your efforts.


Youropt in list is your treasure. You are always looking for new and
innovative ways to build your lists to keep visitors coming to their
sites continuously. As you participate in this activity you offer
various things to the prospective customer like free reports, ebooks,
software, memberships, services etc. just to get their email address
and other identifiable information. It is essential to keep following
up with people who might be interested in what you are offering. Only
when you have a growing list can you facilitate your users to visit
your site. It grabs their attention and takes them to those areas of
the site that are of particular value to them.


Not everyvisitor buys from the site he or she is visiting. Sure you may have
built a huge database of contacts, but unless each one is a qualified
contact, there is no guarantee that they will take any purchase-related
action when they visit. Even in the offline world, you usually cannot
get a buying decision out of your prospect right away – it takes not
less than 5 visits unless they are desperately in need. Again, if you
deal with more than one product, different visitors may be interested
in different products. That is why you have to get your visitor’s email
address and name as they browse through your site.

There are certain things you need in order to effectively begin building your list.

Let us talk about the basic things you need before you actually experiment with different methods of building lists .

A Website

The first thing you must set up is your website, so that your contacts
have a place to come to and find you. They also need a place where they
can securely leave their email and name. You must ensure that they do
not have any difficulty in the process. Not only that, you want to give
them something of value to remember. I'll be sharing an easy way for
you to start your first website in my Online Business Empowerment Quick Start Teleseries.

Autoresponder

The next thing is your autoresponder. These are a wonderful way to
automate your follow up, when you have to keep in touch with your
customers regularly. You might find it easy to keep in touch with, say
100 or 200 people, but when the list runs to thousands, just imagine
the amount of time you’ll spend, time that you can devote to more
creative activities. Instead, a good Autoresponder can help you
tremendously in keeping up with your reminding and emailing.
*Aweber which can be found here is a good choice for many reasons.

You'll need ways to draw traffic to your site.
You can't expect to build your list unless you bring traffic to your site.

Andyou'll need relevent content. Your users will look for information that
is useful and relevant to them. The quickest way to cause your
subscribers to unsubscribe is if you don’t send them messages that are
meaningful.

Don't get caught up with building your list just for size. You're looking to build
a quality responsive list or community.

It's already been stated that one critical thing to your breakthrough is to make the right mindset shifts.

Andone of those shifts is a shift to a success mindset. I've sharedessential keys to mindset breakthroughs, the importance of a successmindset and today I want to share one of the hindrances to a successmindset. One hindrance is that of not being aware of fatal distractionsand being overcome by fatal distractions.



One hindrance to a success mindset is that of not being aware of fatal distractions and being overcome by fatal distractions.

The following are the definitions as found in the dictionary.

Fatal: a: causing death b: bringing ruin c: causing failure

Distraction: a: the act of distracting or the state of being distracted; especially: mental confusion

Wecould say that it represents bringing ruin to our mental focus. Anotherway to look at it is causing death and mental confusion with regard toa desired outcome, destination, etc.

Let's move on and I'd like to present another view of fatal distraction.

Onetypo, two typos, three typos, four? This was the pattern that followedas I continued to read. It was a good book, something that wouldbenefit my spirit man tremendously. I felt like I was being lifted,challenged, restored and then it happened.... The power of the readingwas diluted and my attention was drawn to the errors. I'm not sayingthis to draw attention to the errors found in books or other readingsas now you may look for errors in this article. (smile).

When Isaw the first one it wasn't a big deal, then the second one and I saidto myself wow two on one page. I turned the page and saw yet anotherand actually stopped to make sure the error was there.

What wasthis? Why am I so interested in the errors that are here? It wasn't theerrors I was interested in it was a fatal distraction. The word fatalmeans "causing or ending in death." There is definite opposition to oursuccess and the goal to make sure that we die spiritually and/orphysically. You will be presented with distractions the bottom line isthat many are meant to be fatal. It took me sometime to stop what I wasdoing to refresh myself with devotion, devotion that would give lifeand refresh my vision.

Watch out for fatal distractions. Don'tlet distractions break your focus or intercept your endeavor to makemindset shifts. Being consumed by fatal distractions can send negativeenergy to your subconscious mind.

Maybe you're trying to getclear on your goals, vision and purpose you must do whatever is neededto overcome the fatal distractions that will come. Defuse the power ofthe opposition to your endeavours.

When you pray turn off theringer on the phone if you must. Have devotions at the time of daywhere there is the least traffic going through your home.


Howmany fatal distractions have you been presented with? Is Father Godtrying to get you to the next level and can't because you aredistracted by altercations that seem to occur often? Is He trying towarn you of your lack of spiritual development but you are beingdistracted by your commitment to your job and the promotion that mayfinally be realized? Maybe there is a witty idea and invention that istrying to be made available to you and yet you are more focused onanother situation. Block the distraction! Press in, stay close, anddraw nigh to Father God. Realize a mindset shift to success by beingaware of and overcoming fatal distractions.

Easter Celebration (Resurrection Sunday) No greater love!


Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

When you think of love what comes to mind? What emotions do you experience?
Based on your history with this area you may become anxious, discouraged,
experience discomfort or you may experience joy, a sense of peace etc.

If you're reading this and you haven't experienced the love of my Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ, I want to introduce you to a great love, excuse me the
greatest love.

In Corinthians the 13th chapter we read that love believeth all things,
hopeth all things, love never fails. This describes our Lord and yet it
is an example of how we should love.

The only way this is possible is to receive God's love.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever
believeth on Hiim should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

There is no GREATER love!

As we draw closer to the Easter Holiday think on the love of Jesus our Lord.
Go the extra mile to show love in your relationships.

Let this be the most beautiful celebration ever in memory of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's love. There is truly no greater love.

Empowered Entrepreneurial women are students of life

What separates an Entrepreneurial leader from a follower?

Thereare many characteristics, however, entrepreneurial leaders do not havea mindset that adapts to failure. Things go wrong, of course, butentrepreneurs don’t call them “failures” they call them “glitches,mistakes, bungles, setbacks” – but not failing.

I've often heard it stated that you only fail when you quit or you only fail when you fall and neglect to get up.

An empowered entrepreneurial woman will approach decision-making withthe idea that there’s a strong likelihood that she will be wrong. Thisdoesn’t dissuade them – on the contrary they just do the best they canand worry about handling obstacles as they arise.

Another way oflooking at it is to realize that you will make mistakes, so make themas quickly as you can in order to learn from them. A good leaderdoesn’t view making mistakes as negative or irrevocable, he/she feelsfree to press on and try something new. There is the belief thatsomething useful has been learned, and hopefully not at a high cost.

Since we're going to make mistakes in this life why not make use of them as learning tools and don’t make the same ones twice.

Entrepreneursalso know the value of “intuition”. While you shouldn’t act on theresults of tossing a coin, there is something to be said about your“gut” feeling about the situation. Very often business people become soinvolved with systems and checks-and-balances that they forget aboutthat “gut” instinct they had when they started.

While notstrictly logical, intuition does draw on a combination of experience,knowledge, and analysis as well as a lot of “gut” information you mayhave forgotten that you have.

How do you become a strong leader?One way you become a strong leader in your business is by “practicing”being a leader. It’s not a course you can take at a business college;it’s learned in the school of life as you’re doing business.

Asa leader, you have to set standards and higher standards for your ownbehavior. You must do this because appearances are sometimes moreimportant that facts.

You must also set a commanding presence.
Do you maintain the appearance of leadership? Do you project a confident appearance of a successful entrepreneur?

Presentingyourself as a confident entrepreneur, filled with the excitement ofyour business idea, and a strong leader of your team (whether it’s 1 or10 employees) is what will make you a winner and add untold weight toyour Business Plan. After all, you are your business to that idealclient/customer so you’d better look good and confident.

To protect that faith that your people and your customers have in your organization, always ask yourself these two questions:

Could this be interpreted by anyone in a way that would shake their faith in my leadership?
Could this be misinterpreted and held against me or the company?

Onequality that every empowered entrepreneurial woman must possess is theability to bounce back. Strong leaders know that leadership is alifelong learning experience,and
that they are students of life and when they make a mistake they simply continue to move forward.

Don't waste your time waddling in the mud. When you don't achieve the desired result, get up and try again quickly.

You must make sure your life is in good shape, although I didn't

Savvy woman and woman entrepreneur tips: Most women have it, many women want it and some don't know what theirs is

What is it? Passion. I don’t know how many women I’ve had a chance to
talk to, counsel, coach and mentor who often tell me I don’t have a
passion or they might say I have many things that I like but no passion
for any of them. And then some just simple ask how can I discover my
passion.

Finding your passion yields turbo-charged success.

I’veoften told women that knowing your passion will fuel your motivation
and give you incredible energy. It also pushes you through crisis and
allows you to focus in the midst of crisis or any other time of your
life as mentioned in my special report “How to stay focused in crisis.!”

Knowing your passion and living your passion will attract your ideal clients to you.

was that one thing that gave you excitement when you thought of it?

What makes you come alive?


Ifyou're looking to renew your passion you must first take inventory and
answer the questions above. Next recommit to living your best empowered
life and that includes not settling for anything less than anabundant life. Once you discover or rediscover and commit, it's up to you to take inventory of the resources
around you that will enable to follow your passion.

Seeking Beautiful Woman of Color to Be Honored

Beginning in the month of March, 2010 I will be launching a new contest promotion for which I will highlight and honor women of color who are beautiful. The reason that she is beautiful is not because of her outer appearance but because of the things she does.

I'm looking for women of color (black, latino, native american etc.) who do beautiful things. Beautiful things such as:
  • Volunteering
  • Teaching underprivileged youth
  • Caring for neighborhood kids at low to no cost
  • Giving of her time and talents
  • whatever else you can think of
Each month one woman of color will be chosen to receive:

Especially in terms of business/careerWhen talking about getting clear whether it's personal, spiritual or business itbegins with you. Many times we focus on the external when talking about ourbusiness/career when in essence the problem may lie internally.The first place I like to begin in a situation such as this is self discoveryor with a self assessment. Before we get clear we must know more about ourselves.Get clear on things such asWhat matters most to you?What are your limiting beliefs?What are your core values?This will also help in the endeavor to discover or rediscover your passion.And then there's focus. This is one area which can set you up forsabotage of your empowering success and that is a lack of focus. Savvy women's tips: Happy Valentine's Day? Where's the love?

OK ladies it's Valentine's day tomorrow and I know there are mixed emotions.
Included in this blog post on savvy women's tips I want to share some insight
on love and hopefully motivate you to look at your life in a different way.

Bravo!!!! To those of you who are already living this way.

The greatest love to we as Christians is Father God's love as He gave His
only son for us.

I'd like you to remember that, however, I'd also like to focus on you.
Yes, you. In the bible it says to love your neighbor as you love yourself,
however, all too many times that's the problem we don't love ourselves!!
Ladies until we can learn to love ourselves it doesn't matter one bit how
many brothas, fellas you have.

You will probably self sabotage every relationship because you are
counting on the man to fulfill you and "to make you happy!"

You must come to terms with how unique, how special how absolutely
incredible you are. You are a unique one of a kind gift from Father God.
He didn't make robots.

There is a song that was so-o-o-o very instrumental in my learning to
love myself and to feel good about myself. It was a song that Whitney
Houston sang very early in her career and some of the words said
"learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all."

You see when you love yourself you are less inclined to be intimidated
by those with more education, money, followers (smile) than you. A better
car, home, body than you might think that you have. You will be so confident
in who and whose you are that excuse me "none of it matters" enough to stop
or block you.

My gift to you is to challenge you to discover more about you.
Discover your core values, what makes you unique, what your purpose is.
And this savvy woman will help you live a delicious life with no apologies.

Empowerment is a choice and life is full of decisions and choices. The choices we make can either lead us down a road of prosperity “spirit, soul and body.” One thing to keep in mind is that prosperity is not just about money. There are also roads that lead to poverty, isolation and despair based on our decision and/or choice.As women we remain in limbo because there are so many decisions to make inour lives. We fill so many roles. Continue to read as I share tips for ajuicy manifestation of women's life empowerment!How do we know which choice to make, what decision will render the best result. What is the guarantee that we would choose the right one along the way?Step out and move forward. There are no guarantees. Keep this in mind whenendeavoring to realize life empowerment.You do not really know where a road will lead you until you take it. There are no guarantees. This is one of the most important things you need to realize about life. Nobody said that choosing to do the right thing all the time would always lead you to happiness. Loving someone with all your heart does not guarantee that it would be returned. Gaining fame and fortune does not guarantee happiness. There are too many possible outcomes, which you really cannot control. The only thing you have power over is the decisions that you will make, and how you would act and react to different situations.• Hindsight is 20/20Have you heard the cliché’ hindsight is always 20/20? Wrong decisions are always at hindsight. Had you known that you were making a wrong decision, would you have gone along with it? Perhaps not, why would you choose a certain path when you know it would get you lost? Why make a certain decision if you knew from the very beginning that it is not the right one. It is only after you have made a decision and reflected on it that you realize its soundness. One way to assess whether another a decision was correct or not is if the consequences or outcomes are good for you, then you have decided correctly. Otherwise, your decision was wrong.Seek wisdom. In the bible it says Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Proverbs 4:7• Arm yourself with as much information as you can about the situation.You cannot find the confidence to decide when you know so little about what you are faced with. Just like any news reporter, ask the 5 W’s: what, who, when, where, and why. What is the situation? Who are the people involved? When did this happen? Where is this leading? Why are you in this situation? These are just some of the possible questions to ask to know more about your situation. This is important. Oftentimes, the reason for indecision is the lack of information about a situation.• Identify and create options.What options do the situation give you? Sometimes the options are few, but sometimes they are numerous. But what do you do when you think that the situation offers no options? This is the time that you create your own. Make your creative mind work. From the most simplistic to the most complicated, entertain all ideas. Do not shoot anything down when an idea comes to your head. Sometimes the most outrageous idea could prove to be the right one in the end. You can ask a friend to help you identify options and even make more options if you encounter some difficulty, but make sure that you make the decision yourself in the end.Assess each option by looking at the advantages and disadvantages it offers you. In this way, you get more insights about the consequences of such an option. Weigh the pros and cons of every option.Now that you have assessed your options, it is now time to trust yourself. Remember that there are no guarantees and wrong decisions are always at hindsight. So choose… decide… believe that you are choosing the best option at this point in time.One more thing, never make a choice or decision in an angry mode. This is the worst time to make a decision. Move away from the situation and give yourself time to reflect and pray.
