Off Topic: Are the High Gas Prices Eating at Your Wallet?

I don’t know about you, but the continued increase in the cost of gas that we are paying at the gas pump is kicking me where it hurts! What’s that you say? I say in my wallet and I’m sure you may be feeling this same pain as well. I’m sure you’re wondering like me, how high will the gas prices go? Some predict that the fuel prices may escalate to $10.00 or more a gallon at the pump. I don’t know about you, at that point or even possibly sooner the price hitting that level, there is really no point in going to work! You would be probably working to pay for gas to go into your vehicle and virtually nothing else. Most people are average folks just trying to make it in our economy and it would be difficult for them to manage paying high gas prices that continue to go up! As a matter of fact, it may already be difficult for some people. We are already at record level gas prices at the present time. In some places the price for regular unleaded gas is already over $4.00 per gallon and steadily approaching $5.00 per gallon as of this writing. Nah, not the type you need to see the doctor about. I mean that great, burn inside your chest feeling you get when the idea comes into your head and you know it's THE ONE! It's not a feeling that you can look for or find, it just comes to you. Sometimes at the weirdest times, in the strangest of places.I've known that I wasn't doing all I could and was in the process of restructuring my business end, but not sure exactly how. Well today, it hit me - and HARD, while cleaning no less. Picture that. I had just moved the storage and filing cabinets from under my desk and was pulling out all the crap that had fallen behind them in the last... 18 months. Nah unh, don't say nuffin! Somewhere within the Go Gettas site, there is a post by Thedy B about clearing out the clutter. I'm here to attest that not only does it work in finding stuff (like my PayPal debit card that grew legs yesterday, but found it after throwing some things away), it can allow those lightbulb moments to happen.I have taken to writing down whatever pops into my head in regards to this idea, because although it's what I needed the timing isn't exactly right. I have some obligations to take care of before I can start cultivating. Tying up loose ends also helps, by the way.I learned something on Thursday at a seminar, well more like had recent revelations confirmed... NEVER get comfortable, NEVER stop learning and NEVER take on anything that doesn't make you beam or want to shout it from the mountain top. When that fire burns inside you, it transmits and translates. There is a lot to be said for following your passion. Enthusiasm is contagious. Seriously. As you read this, can you feel my energy? The type that tells you I want to just SCREAM with JOY? lolIt's also probably why it took me all of 2 minutes and 7 backspace corrections to finish this particular blog post. When you're fired up and following intuition, it just flows.Alright, back to cleaning, cuz resting on one's laurels just makes you tired!Toodles~MizzRikki

I hated taking excess medications and never kept a whole bunch of remedies, i.e. antacid tablets, Alka-Seltzer, cough medicine and the like. Catching up on things

Hello to all! I know I’ve been MIA for a while – I’ve managed to peek in and read a bit, so I am caught up on what’s going on. I’ve been in the process of switching my website from its initial inception at neosoul.essentials.com to www.sheaproducts.info . I plan on sitting down at the computer with my notebook catching up on my BBC obligations.That being said more change! I finally figured out Zen Cart, so for those who are currently struggling with this open source shopping cart/store design, there is light at the end of the tunnel. (Notice I did not write that I could offer help. I’m still learning, and I don’t want to mess anyone else up!!! LOL) I like the look of my new website – it looks clean and neat. Plus I love my new photo istockphoto. Of course, you’ll have to visit the website at www.sheaproducts.info to see what I’m writing about. I’ve also included a store blog where one can, surprise, also purchase products. I am currently loving WordPress and my boys over at HostGator.My educator site is currently rearing its head and I have started a blog geared toward resources and information about educating our black children. I feel that many parents want to do the right thing by their children, but do not have the resources or information to do so. There are so many ways to market your business it is impossible to do them all, unless you have a team working with you that you can delegate to. I try to practice about 5 marketing techniques on a regular basis and I will share them with you.1. Article writing2. Blogging3. Publishing an Internet newsletter called an e-zine4. Sending out press releases5. Flyer and post card distributionRecently I got into using video to market my business and this is a great way to get your name and your face in front of potential clients. I know some you maybe thinking I don’t have a clue about how to use video and I will tell you it is as simple as buying a web cam or Flip video. Figure out what you want to say and record. Once you record you can upload your video to the Internet in a matter of minutes. A note here; make sure that your video is no longer than 10 minutes. Most of the video sharing sites will let you upload only 10 minutes of video footage. This process is so simple that my 9 year old niece can do, so I know you can. There are so many places out there that you can upload your video. You can actually have your own TV show right on the Internet. I’ve video on my website, I video on my social networking pages and my TV channel on a few of the video sharing sites. You owe it to the success of your business to check this technique out. The Search Was Worth It

Greetings All,I wanted to take the time and share something with you. On Tuesday July 29, 2008 after searching for almost a year, I had finally gotten the opportunity in speaking to Dr. Evelyn Bethune, Mary McLeod Bethune's Granddaughter, my cousin, on Wednesday evening July 30, 2008 and I must say what a great opportunity for me and my family to finally be able to make this connection and how important it is for our history and for where we will be lead towards in the now and the future.Our history does have a huge impact on which direction we must take in order to fully understand that the work we do must be of excellence in representing our community, our children, our families and how these corporations have to be apart of our everyday life including building networks.What Evelyn stressed to me was the fact that our work can't be something that is taken lightly whether we are given public honor or not, but knowing that we are doing all that we can in making a change within ourselves in order to move on into greater destines in building up a people like never before. Mountain peaks reach the tip of the atmosphereSky lines of gloryPrecious stonesScorching summer breezesCool nightsLuminous lightsConstant chatterInterchangeable spaceThere is more to Las Vegas…I love this city but in all honesty she has done absolutely nothing for me and you know what; I never expected her to. I knew it was up to me, ya dig? It was by being here that I was pushed to grow, learn and remember who I am. Like everyone else, I forgot.I was born in the city but raised in the country. I have experienced the best of both atmospheres. I have come to know the fastness of the metropolis pace and I have discovered how to appreciate the slow crawl of the countryside.This town can never be duplicated. At the same time it is both city and what I will call confederate, both speedy and sluggish, both sophisticated and thuggish, both smooth and rugged.So I had to send a shout out to the city of what we refer to as just Vegas.
