Are U using Life Insurance as an Investment?

I recently met with a potential client yesterday; this client which of course will remain nameless had two very large life insurance policies (amounts I will not disclose). My goal for the meeting was to illustrate to him how he can still obtain the same amount of insurance he currently has and pay less in policy premiums. His response to my illustration was what would happen to the payments that I have made for over 15 years. Now, its not important for me to write word by word the whole conversation me and client had, but what I want to point out is, there are some individuals that believe that their insurance payments are a form of investments and that if I exchange one policy for another I’m going to lose the amount that I invested in the policy; another fallacy is how long will it take me to rebuild my savings with this policy? Well insurance is to help and assist you with risk, Life insurance is to help, manage and protect your love ones from risk that may occur in the event of your death. So my goal to any client or potential client; what was the goal when you purchase this policy, is it to pay any expenses at the time of death, create a legacy your love ones, or to assist you with your with Estate planning goals; now those are just some examples on how life insurance can help you manage risk. My goal with this writing is not to put down any type of life insurance product, I’m an advocate that Term, Whole Life, Universal Life and Variable Life have their place, but my goal is to always find out what do you want to accomplish by purchasing Life insurance.

Challenging your current Mindset regarding "WEALTH and Money"

I want to challenge your current idea of Wealth and money by offering that they are not the same thing. Where money is a tool used to exchange servicesor goods or a way we move wealth around, idea of wealth is asintangible as love and hate. It involves our perception of life and in essence the freedom we desireto have within our lives. For many of us that includes possessions thatmake living life easier (a workable car, a nice clean home, ability totravel, good health, healthy children, technology, the internet, ipods,etc) Wealth can take different forms for different people example,Some sections of this country and other countries create entire -microeconomies by living off a barter system. People simply barter wealthwith each other and don’t use money. They live what they perceive astotally wealthy lives and are able to pass that wealth down to theirchildren.

Alone money isn’t valuable. Money is only valuable when it can be attached
tosomething that is perceived to be valuable to the other person. Moneymakes it easy to trade wealth as it creates a even playing field toexchange wealth - If I need surgery, I cannot offer a doctor something Ifind wealthy in exchange for his work, but if I gave him money, thatwas equal in value, he could take that money and exchange it forsomething he finds valuable and wealthy for him (a Bentley perhaps? )Because we can trade wealth by using money we begin to define wealth asbeing able to make as much money as possible.

Why do some businesses succeed and others fail ? How are some of us able to
create $100 mill corporations, and live a life of “wealth” that we pass on to our children. How is that making money is very easy to do but keeping it and using it in a way to build wealth is very difficult for some?

PROGRESS, PROGRESS, PROGRESS!

Ok if you started this with me you should be progressing and moving foward in your progress in positive thinking, having a positive outlook, and changing your life for a better future. How are things going? Have you experienced a change in your attitude, personal life, business, your atmosphere? If not what is holding you back?

Let's take a moment to think about how we can demolish all of the henderances out of our lives so there is nothing holding us back from being able to move forward into a life full of joy, prosperity, and complete fulfillment. Since death and life is in the power of our tounge, meaning the words we speak over ourself, then we may need to change how we talk about our future. Instead of saying "I'm broke, I don't have the money, I'm not capable" demolish that way of talking and switch your words from "I don't, I can't, I'm not" to "I have, I can, I am!"

So with your list that you created of all the things you invision yourself having, being, and doing begin to speak about those things in present tense. Speak about those things as if you already have it and it already exists. Doing this will further affirm into your atmosphere that the things you have declared you will have will manifest.

Here are some words to begin to speak just as a sample list of affirmations:

I am successful

I have everything I want and need

I drive a (input the name of the car you invision yourself driving)

I am Joy

I am Peace

I am love and I am loved

I am respected by everyone and I respect others

I have and abundance of wealth

I have prosperity, I am prosperous, I am successful

I live an abundant and full life

Money comes easily and frequently to me

My business is successful (It's good to name your business on this one to be specific)

I am giving toward others

I have so much wealth and abundance that I am able to give without reservation or hesitation

I have all of the business connections I need

I am always in the right place at the right time meeting the right people that will help me grow my business, life, relationships.

These are just a few example affirmation phrases that you can speak over yourself daily to begin changing your outlook, life, and circumstance!

How Do Black Businesses/Entrepreneurs Break the Mass Media's Advertising Hold on Black Dollars?

We have a Black man in the White House; we have millions of Black businesses and entrepreneurs in this country. So why do we continue to spend our money with other businesses? 95% of the $900+ Billion that Black people earn each year goes right out of our communities and making other people rich. We as a people are richer than the combination of numerous countries, but yet as a people we do not exert the economic power that we possess.I am asking every Black person to reevaluate how they spend their money. Have we been so brain washed by the mass media advertising that we have to buy those rims, designer jewelry, purses and shoes? Ever wonder why McDonald's and BK just to name a few, have commercials geared specifically towards our youth? Personally I am offended by most of them. Did you know that major corporations spend millions on researching how Blacks spend their money so they can produce even more advertising targeted towards us? If everyone else thinks our money is so important, then maybe how we spend our money could really make a difference.Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X and even Dr. Martin Luther King., Jr. all spoke on these same issues of our people manufacturing and distributing our own products. What if spending an extra dollar or two to support a Black business meant more jobs in your community, or more taxes being paid that would help build better schools and other improvements? Wouldn't it be nice if our youth saw thriving Black businesses all around them and they would want to become a successful entrepreneur instead of a gang banger, thief, drug dealer, etc.?We’ve been hoodwinked, bamboozled, lead astray as Brother Malcolm said many years ago. We have to get out of the notion that to be accepted we have to buy from everybody else. Our community doesn’t own Wal-Mart, Macy’s or JC Penney’s, but our money is going to them and thousands of other stores every single day.Here’s an example I heard used a few weeks ago. Japan was defeated, military destroyed, and surrendered after WWII. Afterwards they focused on their home front. Re-building their communities, producing products and services and buying from each other. Similar story around the same time for the Jewish population who came to the U.S. No one would give them a job, so they produced their own products and services and bought exclusively from each other. They only employed other Jewish people. Look how much they accomplished in just a few generations. Is this racist? No, the only way to get their communities thriving was producing items and selling within their own community. Look at all of the other cultures that do the same and prospered.So my mission that I started on about a year ago was to find Black Businesses and Entrepreneurs and find Black Consumers to buy from them (or at least see if what they are looking to buy is available at these businesses before they make their purchases elsewhere.) I drive right by Wal-Mart or Walgreens to get aspirin from a Black owned pharmacy. We use a Black computer analyst for our business IT needs. I just had a Black, independent mechanic change the brakes on my car. My dentist is Black. I buy my hair care and body/bath products directly from the Black manufacturers at www.buyblacktoday.com/TeamDollar. Am I racist? No, I know my Black dollars are benefiting Black businesses inside and outside of my community. And you know what? It makes me feel absolutely wonderful to support them.
