Insight into Failure - Could This Be You?

In the past, I have joined many MLMs and have failed! Yes! I failed! I spent more money than I made and more time than I should have by staying when clearly I was not ready for the business opportunity.What I realized only recently, after joining an awesome MLM organization, is that I did not fail because the business opportunities were not good. The products were really great, and I loved them and believed in the company.The reason I failed at MLM was I was not ready for the business opportunity! What I mean by this statement is this:* I did not believe in myself* I did not believe in my own ability to succeed* I had low self-esteemI had all kinds of fears:* Fear of failure* Fear of rejection* Fear of not succeeding* Fear of making mistakesThese kinds of thoughts or mindsets will sabotage any great opportunity that presents itself to you. I have come to learn over the years that you have to be ready before opportunity knocks. If you are not prepared, and you go into a business opportunity or even a job opportunity, you will fail, become negative, frustrated, and you will eventually give up and quit.Success and financial freedom does not just happen. You have to prepare for it so that when it comes you will be able to not only handle it, but you will be able to maintain what you have obtained while you reach for new levels of success and opportunities.Toxic core beliefs (mindsets/thought patterns) need to be identified and detoxed from your thinking. If you do not, they will pollute and corrupt every thing you attempt to do. Your toxic thoughts or core beliefs will cause you to sabotage your own efforts to succeed and experience financial freedom. This will eventually cause you to experience a cycle of failures that can go on for a lifetime, if not dealt with.It does not matter how much positive affirmations or faith confessions you make if your core beliefs are rooted in negativity and unbelief. You will always move in the direction of what you truly believe. Have you ever heard the saying, “People say one thing and do another?” What you actually do or do not do is all predicated on what you really believe about money, business, success, people, the world, etc.The best way that I know of to identify or discover what you really believe (your core beliefs) is to become aware of what you are saying to yourself. The best time to do this is when you are under pressure or you are experiencing adversity in your life. What do you say to yourself when you make a mistake? How do you feel when someone says no to your opportunity? Do you call yourself negative names or put yourself down?Keep a journal to document your answers. When a difficult or challenging situation arises in your life, how do you respond? In your journal document the following: (1) What was the situation/circumstance (your trigger). 2) Write your response. 3) How could you have handled it differently? 4) Change the negative core belief to an empowering one. Confess or speak them over yourself daily, especially early in the morning and just before going to bed. Look at yourself in the mirror and tell it to yourself until you believe it. This is a way to renew or reprogram your subconscious mind.Great opportunities happen when preparation and opportunity meet! Decide what it is you want and what it take to get it. Then be willing to prepare and do whatever it takes! If you’ve been around the internet marketing world for any amount of time chances are you have heard how valuable it is to build a contact list. So many people focus on getting to the top of search engines when they could be spending that time working on building their list which is actually more beneficial then being at the top of the search engine. Google can drop you at the blink of an eye but a list can "google proof" your income.Building a list can be challenging but with these three tips you will be on your way to building an incredible list.1. Build a relationship first. Your main objective should not be money but building a relationship with your list subscribers. Don’t send email after email that just offers your products or services. I like what I do. I just don't like where I work." Sound familiar? From unbearable co-workers to depressing work environments, there things that can make even the best job a living hell. Here are some signs it's time to look for a new job.Sign No. 1: Your co-workers are annoying.Obnoxious people can invade your work life. Let's face it, not everyone gets along perfectly. But you need to have some sort of harmonious relationship with fellow employees to get the job done. How are you supposed to get any work done when these guys keep getting in the way? They are distracting and impede productivity. Most offices have a Gossip, that one person who has the "scoop" all the time and is not afraid to share it. Misery loves company, and finds it often in the Whiner, who isn't afraid to complain and bellyache. And everyone has the Neighbor whose noisy distractions include his cellular ringtone, speakerphone and radio.Sign No. 2: The environment is toxic.Everyone experiences job highs and lows, but discontent could also be a sign of a chronically depressing work environment or even a company in peril. A bad work environment is reflective of the culture of an entire business. Do you work in a less-than-nurturing atmosphere? Is morale constantly low? Have you been complaining for two solid years? It could be an organizational problem that applying feng shui to your cube just won't fix.Sign No. 3: You're mentally exhausted by the end of the day.Stress can cause low morale, decreased productivity and apathy towards work. Plus, it can spill into your personal life and even have a negative effect on your health. Today there are fewer people who are taking on more and more work. American workers experience burnout at an alarming rate. According to CareerBuilder, 68 percent of workers feel burnout at work, and 45 percent said their workloads are too heavy. If you are working for someone who is always absent, unavailable, self-absorbed or untrustworthy, it's time to look for a better supervisor and a better opportunity.Sign No. 5: You're watching the clock... every 10 minutes.Though you might not like to work, it's even worse when you are bored while you're there. One can only watch so many videos on YouTube or bid on unneeded things on eBay. If you aren't feeling challenged, that's a sign that you need additional responsibilities or a change roles. And be warned, if you don't have any responsibility or find yourself with nothing to do, management might be trying to phase you out and you might be in danger of losing your job.Sign No. 6: You get no respect.Does any of this sound familiar? Your ideas aren't taken seriously; there are no opportunities for advancement; the boss ignores you; co-workers alienate you; you're discouraged from improving skills with a course or seminar; you're passed over for a promotion -- again; or you're excluded from key projects and strategizing sessions. So why are you still giving this organization your time, energy and great ideas?<Sign No. 7: Your co-workers act like animals.They live for themselves and only themselves. They irritate you. They offend you. They have no manners or ethics. And you work with them all. There's the Office Thief who steals your ideas. The Shirker arrives late, leaves early and disappears whenever work is near. The Buck-passer unloads her work onto everyone else and blames others for her mistakes. The Procrastinator delays things until the last possible minute, slowing you down by not having the information you need to meet your deadlines. The Interrupter stops by your cubicle 10 times a day to chat about her latest boyfriend despite your ringing telephone and pressing deadlines. And don't forget the infamous Elevator Person who rides up only one floor instead of taking the stairs.Sign No. 8: Nobody communicates.Although we live in a world of e-mail, cell phones, instant messages, Blackberries, WiFi and, yes, even face-to-face conversation, there can still be a complete lack of communication. Whether it's a co-worker who's not returning your voice mail or the CEO not conveying a company's goals and accomplishments, the breakdown of communication can be frustrating and detrimental to your job. It can cost you an account, make you to miss a deadline, cause you to lose a client, and even get you fired.Sign No. 9: You're not valued.Forty-three percent of workers do not feel appreciated, and one-fourth of workers feel that they are just a "number" within their organization. You need to realize that you deserve credit for your successes. Recognition is important, and good companies implement programs to let employees know they are valued. Is your company doing anything to reward your efforts? Do you ever receive bonuses, perks or positive feedback? If your boss has never heard of positive reinforcement verbal or otherwise, find a company that will value your talents.Sign No. 10: You feel stifled.What kind of quality of life do you have? Is your 40-hour week turning into a 24/7 grind? While salary may seem like the end all and be all, your quality of life determines your overall happiness. How much time you spend on the job, working conditions, supervisors and subordinates can positively and negatively impact your job outlook. If you dread the time you spent at work, it should be a clear indicator that it's time to break free. A job shouldn't stifle you creatively, mentally or physicallyBottom line:Considering what you don't like about your current situation should give you insight into what you are seeking in future endeavors. If you know what your priorities and preferences are and actively seek them, work can be an enjoyable experience. If, however, you've answered yes to more than four of these signs, then you might want to get started on a new job search.

So you sit down to start writing and low and behold you have writers block. What do you do? I know most of us have heard that you should just continue writing something don't lift the pen off the paper just write, write, and write. This should help with removing the block and get your creative juices flowing, but what should you do if that doesn't work.Would you just get up and try again later? Women and Business Empowerment: How bad do you want it?

There are many interpretations of the word empowerment. I've listeda simple definition below.Empowerment: The act of giving power and authority to a person to perform his designated tasks and being enabled to do what is needed to accomplish agiven task, goal and mission.Empowerment is a choice. You either choose to embrace empowermentby learned life skill sets and other avenues or choose to sabotage anylevel of success by continuing disempowering behaviors, neglectingto learn and apply best practices and by failing to get clear on yourvision, goals and purpose in life.Women today fulfill many roles and most are either in businessand experience phenomenal success or in business and are slowlybecoming disenchanted with the whole idea of women in business.Business empowerment entails being diligent in utilizing effectivesystems. Just as you have a system down for washing clothes, payingbills or handling correspondence etc., there are systems that when useddiligently will empower your business.The question is how bad to you want it? Business Empowerment.I was watching the movie "Temptations" with my family and I recall onescene where Berry Gordy asked his quality control team when listeningto one of the Temp's songs which one would you choose the record or asandwich? The response to the first song was a sandwich.The next time he asked their response was the record. Being arecording artist and songwriter myself I totally understood whatwas being implied.The concept was in order for the song to be a hit a customer would needto desire the record so much that they would pass up buying something toeat if they had to make that choice.Well how do you see your business? Do you want it bad enough that you'dpass up a couple nights out to be able to invest in the system or program thatyou know will propel you forward? Or is the desire not strong enough and youcould still put it off saying to yourself "it will happen."Do you desire it bad enough to put in hours weekly with a marketing planfor realized growth instead of watching your favorite show? Or do you lackthe burning desire to pass up the show to gain new ground in your marketingefforts?Do you desire it bad enough to stop the insanity "doing the same thingexpecting different results" and connect with new systems, strategiesand an accountability measure? From the time he was born, on into his adult life, men, woman and those who influenced him the most, trained him to be the worse kind of man, by there actions and infidelities. Trained 2 Cheat gives fictional accounts of how one man can go from a Cheating no good S.O.B in one marriage, to a devoted husband, in his second and final marriage. Read how Cheating is a behavior that flows from generation to generation.Unedited Introduction:IntroductionIn 1961, Private Bobby Carter Sr. Married his childhood sweet heart Cora. Shortly after the wedding, Cora would give birth to there first child, Bobby Jr., Several months later, the United States Army would send Bobby oversees in support of the Vietnam Conflict. While he was away serving his country, the distance wore thin on there relationship. Cora’s efforts to be a faithful wife ended one night after partying with a close friend, Willie Barnes. Even though they never dated, that night on the town would result in the birth of yet another child, Pete. While her husband puts his life on the line daily, Cora would continue to struggle with being a devoted wife. Dwayne Patterson would be the next temptation to enter her life. He was a local man married with three small children of his own. However, this relationship was different; Dwayne and Cora really cared for each other, but the relationship could not continue because they were both married. This relationship would also end with child number three, Charles. In 1970, Jeffrey Simms would enter Cora’s life after they moved up north for new beginnings. Starting Over in a brand new city would be a challenge. They would date awhile, and eventually were married. It was rare even in the 70's for a man to marry a woman with three kids. Jeff and Cora would find out that it is not easy raising children. They lived in the inner city; and were, exposed to many things that would make the boys look at life from a man’s point of view. Cora would soon find out that she and Jeff had something in common. Both of them come from a generation of two-timers, and Jeff would continue to pass this behavior down to there innocent boys. They were, taught that real men had more than one woman. As teenagers, they were, allowed to have girls in the house as long as Cora was not home. During those years, they were, exposed to drugs and alcohol, which made there, lives more complicated. Throughout there adult lives, they continued to revisit these activities until reality entered in. Shortly after his second marriage, Charles the youngest boy would seek counseling to help him with his inability to commit.I pray that this book would open up our hearts so that we can realize that infidelity is a virus that is destroying families all over this country. Because of self-pity, our children are, forced to live in single-parent homes, and learning the wrong principles of marriage.
