Patagonian Maqui Berry and Resvertrol

Hey Sistas!I wanted to share with you a product that a friend of mine named, Leola shared with me called Patagonian Maqui Berry! It's fantastic! I love the taste and I absolutely love the way it makes me feel! I have more energy, I'm not waking up in pain. I am getting a good night's sleep and I'm not eating junk foods, it completely cut my appetite! My husband was very concerned because we'd never heard of this product nor did we know anything about nutritional drinks, so we did some research and here's what we found: Barbara Walters and Fox News "Maqui Berry and Resveratrol"After doing further research, and after receiving the "thumbs up" from my doctor; I decided to join Leola in distributing this drink, because I believe in what it can do for people; and it's safe. You deserve to know the information about this company to see if there is something of value in it for you.Khadijah Adams

Don't Be an Old Fool!

I grew up in a single-parent household and I watched my mother struggle tremendously trying to raise my brothers and me on limited resources. Things that other people took for granted like having clean clothes on a daily basis, weren’t always a luxury for me. As a result, the spirit of lack took hold of me and even as I became an adult, that spirit manifested in my life to the point where I was living hand-to-mouth on a regular basis. To look at me on the outside, you wouldn’t have known because I had become a master at disguising my struggle. When I was on my own and earning an income I got into credit trouble where I ended up with two car repo’s and credit so bad that I probably couldn’t even finance a pack of bubble gum! Now, many years older and wiser, my credit is restored and I can probably buy just about anything I want on credit. Through my many mishaps in life I have developed a motto of, “No experience is a wasted experience”. What I mean by that is that when setbacks occur in life, whether they were based in your own ignorance or not, there is always an opportunity for growth. What having jacked-up credit has taught me, is to never intentionally get myself in a situation where I can’t rent a car if I need to, open a checking account if I need to or get the lights turned on with the power company without a having to fork out a huge deposit. I took the obstacle of having poor credit, and the consequences it brought with it, to learn and grow from it.I’m sure there are situations that have occurred in your life that you thought you would never recover from. But you did! And although you may have been down, you don’t have to be out. View the apparent set-back as a set-up; a set-up to start a new business, a set-up for healthy, loving relationships, or a set-up for that dream house. Turn those past experiences into gold mines of wisdom-gained and don’t let it go to waste. Getting older doesn’t necessary equate to getting wiser. There’s a saying that says, “There’s no fool like an OLD fool!” Capitalize on the things that you’ve learned and, please, don’t be an old fool!

Individuals have varying requirements a company must meet before they decide to become a customer. In order for companies to be successful, they must be able to identify these requirements (conducting market research enables companies to get these answers). Businesses are often chided for not listening to their customers. Of course it is the organization’s responsibility to start a dialogue with their target market, but as a consumer are you doing your part to keep the conversation alive?More than ever companies are trying their best to connect with consumers and are sometimes greeted with deafening silence. For example, have you ever been asked to complete a customer satisfaction survey? I am sure the answer to this question is a resounding, “Yes!” Now how many times have you answered a survey? Despite the number of pleas, I am sure many people have not taken the time to answer these surveys (yes, as much as I hate to admit it I am guilty of this too). One of the most quoted reasons for not answering these surveys is, “Sorry, I don’t have time.”Sure we all have time constraints, but the only way companies can improve their services or fulfill needs that are not currently being met within the industry is if you share your thoughts with them. It is not fair for consumers to complain about receiving bad service or inferior products and then neglect to fill out a survey or turn down the opportunity to participate in a focus group. Now more than ever, due to the increase in competition, companies are trying to entice individuals into talking with them by compensating them with money, prizes, etc.The mere fact that companies are starting to “invade” social networking sites demonstrates that they are trying to talk to consumers on a platform that is convenient for them. I realize that there are some companies that still have a lot to learn when it comes to the social media arena, but I applaud them in their efforts to do so. They are finally acknowledging the fact that consumers are more apt to purchase products from those who they trust and making a concerted effort build a relationship. Companies are increasingly becoming more attentive and seeking ways to engage consumers into speaking with them–so what are you going to say?

In the Mirror

Well this is the morning and it’s time to go there ya’ll. I pray you are awed by the beauty of the flowers, touched by a gentle breeze and reveling in a peaceful, knowing freedom. I am so grateful for this transcendent community called cyberspace and blessed by the love, correction, wisdom and support I/NUMN continuously receives from all of you. You are the light seen around the world; it shines through each and every one of you. Thank you.I found myself sitting on the front porch apologizing to my dad the other day. Yeah, the same dad I’ve told ya’ll so much about previously. Wanted to share it with you instantly, but even in that freeing moment, it seemed a little strange to me too. I was reading Eckhart Tolle’s “A New Earth” and suddenly I knew it was never my dad’s, or my mom’s for that matter, intention to cause me pain. I’m not talking about understood in an intellectualized kind of way; I’m talking revelation- Stockholm syndrome erasing, generational curse breaking, nagging little voice silencing- knowing. The dad that I wanted so desperately to value me, to feed my need for love, could not. He couldn’t see me, couldn’t see himself through the veil/armor of his own pain.It makes me cry to realize that I’ve done to him what he did to me. I failed to see his desperate need for love and compassion, because I could only see my dad through the filter of my experience, what he’s done to me, how he’d abandoned me and let me down. I could only see the way his pain affected me. I don’t think I ever before considered how it affected him.I thought I’d done all the forgiveness stuff long ago. After all I was no longer angry at him or crippled by the legacy. I had solid proof the God was turning misery to ministry. I mean check it out, ya’ll know me; ya’ll know NUMN. We’re doing some good things and growing in the right direction. Folks are listening, participating and we’re starting to make a difference. Clearly, the stumbling blocks rooted in the past are overcome. Can ya’ll say, “delusional”? LOL Could be still. That’s the funny thing about growth; you never know what a flower is going to look like until it unfolds.Take a moment today to contemplate our interdependence, to look beyond the veils and masks that falsely separate us. Give to another that which you long most deeply for and let freedom truly ring.Like everyone else Not Ur Momma’s News will be honoring Michael Jackson in our Tuesday edition. We are inviting you to share your memories and tributes with your entire NUMN family. Please send your remarks to publisher@noturmommasnews.com no later than Monday, July 6th at 12 PM

I believe the process of questioning is one of the greatest skills a business woman can have when it comes to staying in touch with how your business is performing and how you are doing as the CEO of your company.Asking yourself the right questions and finding solutions and answers to them will not only help you to stay on the road of being real with yourself, but it will also help you to see the necessary changes that need to be made for business growth.Below are 12 questions you can use to start the evaluation process:1. Have I completed a current cash flow analysis to measure my business financially?2. What are the weak areas in my business that need improvement?3. Have I implemented a consistent marketing strategy?4. Is my marketing strategy working?5. What is my sales ratio (the # of prospects you convert into customers)?6. Do I stay “sticky” (in consistent communication) with my current customers/clients?7. What skill sets do I need to improve in as a business owner?8. What business services and/or products do I need to eliminate?9. How are my competitors marketing?10. What is the latest information and updates about my industry?11. Does my business support my overall vision and goals?12. Am I willing to make the changes necessary to help my business to grow?Ask yourself the above questions on a quarterly basis and Keep records for comparison and positive changes. Also, create your own questions that will help you to better evaluate yourself and your business. Once you have identified processes that are not working positively in your business, it will be important to make a sound decision on how to eliminate or change them.About the Writer:Trina Newby is founder of Women About Biz an online small business education and connection network just for business women. Running Late

Living a life out of balance can become a habit. A life that lacks focus and direction will soon become unbalanced. When this repeatedly happens this unbalance actually becomes the norm. It can begin to feel comfortable. One major area that tends to quickly become unbalanced is your daily schedule. Those who live a unbalanced tend to always run late. I lived my life for a long time in a state of tardiness. People began to expect me to arrive 5 to 15 minutes late. I was late for work, for church, for doctor's appointments, etc. If I was supposed to be somewhere, you could guarantee that I was going to be late. Rushing from Point A to Point B was just how I lived.I had subconsciously began to justify my habitual tardiness. I had convinced myself that I was always late because I always had too much to do. But then I realized that I have control over my schedule. I finally decided that I was tired of always having to drive like a maniac to get somewhere. I got tired of the undue stress. This stress was completely unnecessary. There are several keys to keeping your schedule balanced:1. Be realistic with your time estimates. Don't underestimate the amount of time it will take to accomplish a specific task. I would often do this in hopes that I could squeeze more tasks into 24 hours. This doesn't work. Also, include the amount of time you need to get to and from a destination. In addition, build in a some time for the unexpected (i.e. traffic).2. Write Your Schedule Down. Writing down your schedule helps you to mentally plan out your day. This also allows you the opportunity to look at your schedule and give it a "sanity check". Looking at your schedule gives you a snapshot of your day. You can check to see if you're overbooked (this was also a bad habit of mine). The reality is that you can't be in two places at one time.A good idea is to sit down at the beginning of each month and write down your commitments. Its also a great idea to do this at the beginning of each week. That way you can make any changes to your schedule as necessary.3. Schedule Some Me Time. As busy women, we sometimes put our needs last on our list. One way to help combat this mentality is to actually schedule some personal time. I recommend a little time each day. You don't have to allot yourself several hours. However, schedule yourself some "Me" time to take a relaxing bubble bath or give yourself 30 minutes to read some of that book you have on your nightstand. Find the time. Some like to schedule their "Me" time first thing in the morning. Others wait until everyone is in bed at night. Do what works for you, but just give yourself some time.4. Say No. Sometimes, we just have to say "No." It's OK. As women, we sometimes overextend ourselves. We also agree to do things that we really don't want to do. When asked to do something, consciously think about your schedule. What does your day, week and month look like. Is this an extremely busy time at home or at work? Do you want to do it? Factor these things in before committing.Keeping these four points in mind will assist you in building a balanced schedule and a balanced life. It may take some time to get the schedule down. But that's ok. Continue to work on your scheduling skills each day. Then it won't be long before your develop the positive habit of showing up on time.http://www.abalancedlifesite.com
