A Letter to you From the Great Mother.
Beloved One,It is time to come inside. It's getting dark earlier now, and the wind has a chilling bite to it. Come in, and get cozy by the fire. That's right, curl up in the easy chair and get comfortable. Here's a steaming mug of chai and something yummy I've just pulled out of the oven. Feeling better now?My dear, have I told you lately just how proud I am of you? This year has been a doozy, to say the least! Chock full of all kinds of unexpected surprises and challenges. And you've made your way through it all with such grace and wisdom. I couldn't have done it better myself. ( As they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!)
Through Spring's exuberance, Summer's expansiveness, and Autumn's flurry of activity, I've watched you stay rooted in your heart-knowing and guided by your feelings, your intuitions. And now, after all that DOING, the time has come for you to simply BE (E), where your soul can have a well-deserved rest. You know, this season of inward reflection and dreaming is your birthright. However, only YOU can claim it for yourself!
It's been so inspiring to see you release that which no longer serves, like dry leaves flying into the swirling vortex of wind, showing such courage to know what to hold onto and what to let go of. You've been inwardly active these past moons preparing for the winter: taking stock, harvesting the fruits of your experiences, stockpiling your strength and preserving your power, all of which will provide you with much nourishment in the coming days. You've already done the work of gathering the kindling, the dry wood of your realizations and discoveries, so that your inner fire will glow bright and warm all throughout the winter season. You have also learned much from our sisters, the trees, in how to honor the natural processes of Mother Nature, trusting that what falls away will be composted and recycled, and what is left will be used for sustenance and growth.
You understand the importance of staying rooted, deeply connected to the golden core in yourself and of the Earth, in order to keep balance and equanimity ...whilst also remaining deeply rooted in the starry realms, attuning your inner ears to the music of the spheres and the wisdom it reveals to us. In acknowledging the sap that moves like a tide within us, we can breathe gracefully between expansion and contraction so that in this moment of vulnerability as bare trees, we are open to receive, and can surrender fully to the gifts of coming Home to ourselves.
You are deeply loved,
Mom
