love (103)

Life is a blessing... enjoy each day!

I am sitting here enjoying a raining day in South FL. I am going over all the things I have to be grateful for. My beautiful sons and grandson... to me... they are living miracles. I think about my loving family and friends, who make me smile and remind me where I come from. The budding new love in my life. He is a complex and incredible man. Who touches my heart in a way I had nearly forgotten. I live in a lovely home that is a haven for anyone who comes to visit. I could go on and on.

This reflective mood comes as I am dancing around my home and noticing that my body barely hurts much any more throughout the day. You see, this time last year. I was in so much pain that I spent most of my days in tears. My central nervous system had gone haywire and nobody had an answer why I was in so much pain.

Nothing helped... not sitting down, standing, or lying in bed. I was dealing with symptoms that baffled my doctors. I saw a whole team of medical experts. General physicians, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and an orthopedic physician. They thought MS, Lupus, and a host of other things that nearly scared me half to death. And, I might add, they were very aggressive in their quest to label me with some thing and prescribe me some type of medication that may or may not help.

As, I went from one recommendation to another. I refused to take the medication, much to the annoyance of a couple of my doctors. I have nothing against prescription medication if the person taking the medication understands the side effects and the potential new health problems that the drug may create. My problem was how quick a doctor was to write a prescription with no real reason to give it to me.

So, praying daily for some answers, I did my research and looked into more holistic ways to help my beautiful body heal herself. I figure I am the best expert when it comes to me. I live inside my body 24/7 and I do know when something is not right. Even if I decide to ignore it. So, shame on me... I believe every thing happens for a reason. Obviously, I had spent too much time neglecting my inner voice that had been telling me to slow down. Please understand, when this happened to me I was taking care of myself physically... eating properly and exercising nearly 7 hours per week. I thought I was doing the right thing.

As, I did my online holistic research. I decided to visit a chiropractor and a friend who is a doctor of Oriental Medicine. The chiropractic treatments wound up being too aggressive for my body to handle comfortably. But, the acupuncture and massage were definitely helpful.

I continued reading and started incorporating more meditation, herbs, and detoxing/juice feasting into my life. I eliminated some of the stress in my life and decided to treat myself more gently and with more female wisdom and respect. I asked questions as needed and did not let anyone "bully" me into a treatment I did not feel was appropriate for me. I took charge of and full responsibility for my health.

And, as I became more acquainted with myself. My body began to heal. As new information was needed to continue my progress towards better health, I would meet people who would introduce me to someone with the healing touch to help me even more. I found a new chiropractor who practices Nucca chiropractic techniques. It is a totally different and much gentler way to realign your body. I highly recommend it. He has completely eliminated my shoulder and neck pain.

Today, I am a new woman... happier, more radiant, and living proof that you can rise like a phonenix from the ashes of crippling pain and soar again. So, as I continue to dance around my livingroom... laughing... and feeling like Divine energy in motion. I thank God for the opportunity to share my story with each of you. I hope this blog will encourage you to listen to that tiny little voice telling you to slow down and take better care of yourself. Please, do not let a major health crisis become your wake up call. Do something special for yourself today.

Live and Love with no regrets,

Cyndi

Easter Celebration (Resurrection Sunday) No greater love!

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

When you think of love what comes to mind? What emotions do you experience?
Based on your history with this area you may become anxious, discouraged,
experience discomfort or you may experience joy, a sense of peace etc.

If you're reading this and you haven't experienced the love of my Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ, I want to introduce you to a great love, excuse me the
greatest love.

In Corinthians the 13th chapter we read that love believeth all things,
hopeth all things, love never fails. This describes our Lord and yet it
is an example of how we should love.

The only way this is possible is to receive God's love.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever
believeth on Hiim should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

There is no GREATER love!

As we draw closer to the Easter Holiday think on the love of Jesus our Lord.
Go the extra mile to show love in your relationships.

Let this be the most beautiful celebration ever in memory of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's love. There is truly no greater love.

If you happen to be reading this and would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
All you need to do is confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. Saved from what? Saved from your sins. Jesus died for the
remission of sins.

Say this: Father God I know that I am a sinner. I confess with my
mouth and believe in my heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead.
Forgive me of my sins. I thank you that I am now saved.

Congratulations you are saved! Please contact me for further information
about receiving the gift to the believer "Holy Spirit."
Contact me today.

Happy Easter (Resurrection Sunday) !

OK ladies it's Valentine's day tomorrow and I know there are mixed emotions.
Included in this blog post on savvy women's tips I want to share some insight
on love and hopefully motivate you to look at your life in a different way.

Bravo!!!! To those of you who are already living this way.

The greatest love to we as Christians is Father God's love as He gave His
only son for us.

I'd like you to remember that, however, I'd also like to focus on you.
Yes, you. In the bible it says to love your neighbor as you love yourself,
however, all too many times that's the problem we don't love ourselves!!
Ladies until we can learn to love ourselves it doesn't matter one bit how
many brothas, fellas you have.

You will probably self sabotage every relationship because you are
counting on the man to fulfill you and "to make you happy!"

You must come to terms with how unique, how special how absolutely
incredible you are. You are a unique one of a kind gift from Father God.
He didn't make robots.

There is a song that was so-o-o-o very instrumental in my learning to
love myself and to feel good about myself. It was a song that Whitney
Houston sang very early in her career and some of the words said
"learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all."

You see when you love yourself you are less inclined to be intimidated
by those with more education, money, followers (smile) than you. A better
car, home, body than you might think that you have. You will be so confident
in who and whose you are that excuse me "none of it matters" enough to stop
or block you.

My gift to you is to challenge you to discover more about you.
Discover your core values, what makes you unique, what your purpose is.
And this savvy woman will help you live a delicious life with no apologies.

Of course I'm going to invite you to connect with me for additional
support on this new journey by either joining my
Breakthrough Mentoring and Coaching program here or attending my preview call and you'll need to register here
for that. We will definitely cover a self discovery component during Breakthrough.

Happy Valentines Day!!

What are we called to do?

Last night I watched an infant that was pulled out of rubble with breathe left in their body after all these days, a 70+ year old lady that had not perished after being pulled from literally the grave. What a mighty and wonderful God we serve. So why is it that we continue to tear on another apart, especially women (to be more specific the ones in the body of Christ). What are we called to do?Proverbs 11:30: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. How can you win souls if we treat the unsaved and worst than the world does? What attracts them to the church when they see more back biting and bickering amongst the body of Christ?I talked to a person yesterday that is not a Christian and she indicated that one of her friends that she has known all her life has recently converted to Christianity and has treated her so bad for practicing the same religion that she has been practicing for years. What a missed opportunity, if she converted to Christianity then she should know to love thy neighbor. She would want to show her what Christ is and that is Love! I am not saying that she should compromise her Christianity but you can show a stray animal compassion.I love this passage in the bible:1 Timothy 1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. 17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.Just a little reminder Jesus himself said that he came for the sinners. Do we think we are yet better than Jesus?Luke 5: 27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me. 28 And he left all, rose up, and followed him. 29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them. 30 But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners? 31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. 32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. At the end of the day I love my Brahmans, Jews, Atheist, Taoist, and Buddhist …. You know why I love them? Because he told me to:Mark 12:30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. No where in that passage did he say love them if you agree with them, Love them if their nice to you, Love if they go to your church, Love them if they worship in the same denomination as you, love them if they join your mission or ministry, love them if their a Christian. It said: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.Wow! There is none other commandment greater than these! SO even you that will rip this apart evaluate and discredit this very writing, I love you most, for I am living a life where I am trying to run the good race of faith doing what thus saith the Lord! Be blessed all of God’s People!

Clean House

Anyone who knows me knows that I am not the most organized person on the planet. Well, in an effort to rid myself of mounds of paperwork and make room for more paperwork I really need, I asked a friend to give me a file cabinet and got to work cleaning house. I was amazed at some of the "stuff" I was hoarding. I still had all my receipts for the bursar's office at the University of Memphis. Mind you I graduated in 1999! I found three love letters I wrote to my ex-boyfriend back in the late 90’s. I WAS SO RIDICULOUSLY SPRUNG! I had poems I forgot I had written, scripts I wrote during my time as a writer for the Tom Joyner Morning Show, notes from various classes I had taken and a bunch of other "stuff" I won't name. Most of it I didn't want nor did I need. As I delved through the files of my life I realized three things:1) I had done a lot of things I had forgotten about.2) I need an excellent, super strength shredder.3) I need to clean house more regularly.Let's go with that and use it as a metaphor for life. Remember to clean house emotionally, mentally and physically on a regular basis. We all have emotional baggage and things we have neglected to discard but when that baggage weighs us down, prevents us from moving forward or takes up so much room we can't add to our lives, there's a problem. Is anything holding you back? Are you still in love with someone you used to date back in the day? He’s probably moved on and married and here you are pining away about what might have been. Do you have a closet full of clothes that don't fit anymore and you're telling people about how fine you used to be? (Lose the weight or donate them to Goodwill) Are you mad because someone got the promotion you felt you deserved? Are you still crying inside because your father wasn't there? Are you still bitter because someone broke your heart or had sex with you and acted like you didn't matter afterward. Now, all men are dogs and the woman he is with is an unattractive, gold digging ho. Are you still beating yourself up because of a bad decision you made that you can't fix? I am not without sympathy because I’ve been there. Although, your pain may be completely legitimate you should want to stop hurting. Letting go isn't always easy but enduring the pain in order to reach the breakthrough is usually worth it. It’s not healthy to wallow in sorrow, anger or regret.Love yourself enough to forgive the person that hurt you and then let it all go. Will yourself to heal yourself. You cannot thrive and live out the wonderful life God has planned for you in a cluttered, emotionally toxic environment. Do yourself a HUGE favor and clean house! Keep the precious memories and throw the rest out. If you need therapy don’t be too proud to get it. Do what you have to do to be emotionally, mentally and physically healthy. Happiness is a wonderful place to reside. Put those bags down girl and give your arms a rest.In case no one has told you lately my sisters….you are beautiful! This blog and others can be found at www.imagoodwoman.com.
